According to OnMyWay, it's the &#8220;only texting and driving solution that pays.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was founded in 2019 with the goal of preventing more accidents and injuries amongst drivers by incentivizing good behavior. According to its website, the OnMyWay app has helped prevent over 24,000 car accidents and saved 159 lives in the process.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10256 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.webmonkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/OnMyWay-app.jpg\" alt=\"OnMyWay-app\" width=\"598\" height=\"287\"><\/p>\n<p>So, this is clearly an awesome mission, and the entire goal of OnMyWay is to keep you off of your phone while you drive.<\/p>\n<p>But I was also curious if you can really make money with the OnMyWay app. So, I decided to look into how it all works and how much money you can actually earn with this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webmonkey.com\/apps-that-pay-you-real-money-instantly\/\">money-making app<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Is OnMyWay Legit?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Yes, OnMyWay is legit. You earn $0.05 for every mile you drive which can be redeemed through various rewards options. Additionally, the company has a great mission and they have prevented over 25,000 car accidents since the beginning of the app\u2019s creation. This assertion is based on data since the company knows how many miles users have driven without distractions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>But, many negative OnMyWay reviews complain about the rewards since you can't really earn anything from this app without spending money or without inviting other people to join.<\/p>\n<p>The fact you can't redeem earnings for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webmonkey.com\/free-10-dollars-paypal-instantly\/\">free PayPal cash<\/a> is a downside, and it takes forever to earn enough to redeem a gift card or actual reward.<\/p>\n<p>This is my main complaint as well. But it's definitely not a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webmonkey.com\/highest-paying-apps\/\">high-paying app<\/a>, and it's basically impossible to cash out with OnMyWay unless you invite a lot of people to join as well.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How Does The OnMyWay App Work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>The OnMyWay app works in four simple steps<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Download the OnMyWay app and sign up<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Drive and stay off of your phone to earn<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Refer friends to earn even more<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Redeem your earnings<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>That\u2019s all there is to it! Each of these steps will be discussed in more detail down below.<\/p>\n<p>Before you check them out, make sure you have an Android or IOS smartphone and a valid driver\u2019s license!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>1. Download The OnMyWay App & Sign Up<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>To download the OnMyWay App, head over to onmyway.com and enter your phone number into the text box.<\/p>\n<p>After doing that, you receive a text message with a link to download the app directly through your phone. Alternatively, you can look up OnMyWay on the App Store or Google Play Store.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10257 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.webmonkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Sign-Up-OnMyWay.jpg\" alt=\"Sign-Up-OnMyWay\" width=\"600\" height=\"278\"><\/p>\n<p>Once you download the app, you sign up for OnMyWay with an email, phone number, and the last four digits of your phone number.<\/p>\n<p>You also scan your driver's license to verify that you have one, and fill out a few other basic pieces of information about you and your driving.<\/p>\n<p>This step should take you no longer than 2 minutes to complete if you have your driver\u2019s license nearby. I found that it was pretty easy to set up, and the app is beginner-friendly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You can also receive a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webmonkey.com\/signup-and-earn-100\/\">$100 sign up bonus<\/a><\/strong> upon entering the app that you can use towards other rewards in the future. More on that later since it's usually too good to be true.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019re officially in the app, you can start earning immediately for driving safely!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>2. Drive & Stay Safe<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After you install the OnMyWay app and login, you have to enable notification settings along with motion activity tracking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is because, when you drive over 10MPH without texting or driving, OnMyWay pays you $0.05 for every mile you drive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10258 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.webmonkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/OnMyWay-app-earnings.png\" alt=\"OnMyWay-app-earnings\" width=\"698\" height=\"369\"><\/p>\n<p>To prevent you from texting, the OnMyWay app locks the app and prevents your phone from texting so you can't check your phone and drive while distracted.<\/p>\n<p>Phone calls are also disabled unless you can answer them with bluetooth in your car.<\/p>\n<p>Music also works in your car as long as you&nbsp;start and stop the music before and after you drive somewhere. Unfortunately, you won\u2019t be able to change a song in the middle of a ride unless your car has buttons for that.<\/p>\n<p>This music bit is definitely a downside for older cars or cars where you can't shuffle music with your navigation, so keep this in mind if you love your tunes.<\/p>\n<p>Another nifty feature is that passengers can earn too; if you're&nbsp;a passenger that also uses the OnMyWay App, you\u2019ll earn money too as long as you\u2019re not on your phone!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Just note<\/strong>: the OnMyWay app drains some battery from your phone since it has to track the motion of your vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>If your car has a phone charger, this won't really be an issue, but it's another factor to keep in mind since OnMyWay drains your battery slightly.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>3. Refer Friends<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The truth is, the real way to make money with the OnMyWay app is to refer other drivers. You earn money for every time your friends drive safely with the OnMyWay App. Not just the first ride after signing up\u2026 every time!<\/p>\n<p><strong>You\u2019re allowed to refer as many friends as you want and there's a $2 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webmonkey.com\/apps-with-instant-referral-bonus\/\">referral bonus<\/a> for each sign up<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, <strong>every safe mile your referral drive pays you $0.02<\/strong>. So, if 10 friends drive 100 miles, you earn $40 ($20 for driving and $20 for sign up bonuses).<\/p>\n<p>As you can see, the OnMyWay referral program is where the money is, especially if your friends drive a lot.<\/p>\n<p>This is my main complaint with the app since it's incredibly difficult to cash out with OnMyWay unless you invite a lot of people. So, for everyday people, this app probably won't pay you a dime.<\/p>\n<h3>4. Redeem Your Earnings<\/h3>\n<p>The OnMyWay app pays you $0.05 for every safe mile you drive without texting or looking at your phone.<\/p>\n<p>This is the set mileage rate and doesn't change if you drive more. Also note that OnMyWay only pays you for miles when you travel 10MPH or faster.<\/p>\n<p>So, if you drive 100 miles, you\u2019ve just earned yourself $5! It\u2019s that simple.
