When it comes to making money online, one of the lowest-effort methods out there is to enter sweepstakes.

The idea here is quite simple: you sign up on websites or apps that promise the chance of cash rewards or gift cards, cross you fingers, and try to get lucky.

Now, I've already covered apps like Lucktastic and Lucky Money before.

I don't think either of these apps are worth your time. There's simply no way of knowing your odds of winning, and the opportunity cost is too high.

Today, we're tackling another massively popular sweepstake website: PrizeGrab.

Is PrizeGrab legit? Can you, in fact, win $10,000 and other awesome prizes like the website states?

Well, time to dive into all the details in our PrizeGrab review!

Looking For Other Easy Ways To Earn Rewards? Checkout:

PrizeGrab is a free sweepstakes website that states that “you're always a click away from piles of cash and hot gadgets.”

The website is pretty flashy. When you visit, you're greeted with alluring signs of winning $10,000, other cash prizes, appliances, gadgets, free gift cards, and other cool rewards.

There's even a shiny PrizeGrab winners portal that shows lucky winners who have walked away with thousands of dollars or some flashy new toys.

However, as we're going to dig into during our PrizeGrab review, I think a lot of this is difficult to verify which can be a bit concerning.

Like all sweepstake websites, PrizeGrab is interested in collecting as much personal information about you before letting you use the platform.

I signed up for PrizeGrab to test out how the platform works before writing this review. It's very simple to sign up, and the entire website is pretty straightforward.

Here's how it all works.

You need an account to use PrizeGrab. You can either create one with Facebook or enter an email and password. According to PrizeGrab, you must live within the United States and be at least 18 to use the website.

Now, PrizeGrab is completely free, which is at least one small plus for this sweepstake website. If you had to pay for this thing, I'd honestly be outraged.

The company states there are “real winners everyday,” although there aren't any promises of course that you'll walk away with extra cash or rewards for entering contests.

Once you create an account, you're able to enter certain sweepstakes that catch your eye.

There's a variety of sweepstakes at any given time. For example, the ones I see right now for my account include:

There's over a dozen other sweepstakes, including different cash prizes, free gift cards, appliances, and electronics.

There's even a “popular” page section that shows some more

Now, PrizeGrab has different rules for each sweepstake, although rules generally include:

However, the odds of winning section isn't very clear.

PrizeGrab states: “The odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received during the Sweepstakes Entry Period.”

This makes sense, but there's a frustrating lack of historical averages or any indication about your general odds, so it's impossible to tell if PrizeGrab is legit or not.

If you somehow get lucky, PrizeGrab contacts you via email to inform you you've won a sweepstake.

If you look at the PrizeGrab winners list, it also seems like there's some real life people who have benefitted from the website.

Again, I'd take this with a grain of salt since it's hard to tell what your odds are for winning sweepstakes.

In order to incentivize you to enter more sweepstakes, PrizeGrab lets you build streaks the more you use the site.

10 entries in a single day starts off your streak. To continue your streak, you have to keep entering 10 times into different sweepstakes per day.

However, there's a bit of a catch here.

PrizeGrab states that “The longer the streak, the more points and bonus entry opportunities will become available.”

The FAQ page then states that “PrizeGrabbers can now earn points by entering prizes, reaching and extending an entry streak, returning for consecutive days, and more! Each achievement will add points to your account, and those points will result in some incredible bonus opportunities.”

But, PrizeGrab points don't have monetary value, so keep this in mind.

PrizeGrab explains that points don't have a monetary value, but rather put you into more advanced tiers, like Bronze, Silver, or Gold.

According to the site, “as you advance to higher levels you will be rewarded with larger bonus prize opportunities.”

So, in a nutshell…you enter more sweepstakes to earn points, which aren't worth anything.

BUT, these points put you into special tiers, which also doesn't benefit you monetarily whatsoever since again, PrizeGrab hides all of the odds of winning so you never know what reality is.

Extra Reading – The Best Beermoney Apps & Websites To Earn Fast Cash.

If we look at other PrizeGrab reviews, you get quite a mixed bag of information. For starters, PrizeGrab has a 4.7 star rating on Trust Pilot with over 500 reviews, which is one of the highest ratings I've ever seen.

I read through a few pages of reviews, and while there's some obviously fake ones, I think there's also genuine positive and negative reviews on there.

For example, this user explains how they did in fact get paid, but it took 4 years of trying:

If you keep reading reviews, you'll find this is the normal complaint people have about PrizeGrab; it takes a long time on average to win, if you win at all.

This inevitably causes some users to feel frustrated, as this user review shows:

Again, it's hard to find mentions on forums like Reddit, so you have to go off of Trust Pilot feedback and the face value of the website.

Personally, I don't think this website is going to make money for most people, so it's largely a waste of time. But there are some positive reviews out there, just make sure you have realistic expectations.

PrizeGrab is a legit sweepstakes website that has plenty of positive reviews online. However, it also has many unhappy users because the odds of winning aren't adveritsed and are incredbly slim. In reality, this website is a waste of time for most people.

My take is that people who use and win with PrizeGrab are probably sweepstake fans who enter every day and also use various other rewards websites to try and get lucky.

From the negative reviews, it's clear winning anything can take a long time. Additionally, you never know the odds of a sweepstake.

This is my main complaint about PrizeGrab, and I wish sweepstakes at least gave some rough estimate of your odds.

Overall, I think PrizeGrab has the same problem as websites like FlashRewards, which offers $750 Shein and $750 PayPal rewards; the effort just isn't worth it, even if you somehow get lucky and strike it big.

Pros:

Cons:

In my opinion, things like entering sweepstakes have very high opportunity costs.

I mean, think about it: every hour you spend entering contests or completing these sorts of tasks is an hour you could have tried a higher-paying side hustle.

For example, if you look at various gig economy apps, you'll find high paying side jobs like:
