1. Bingo Cash

If you're a Bingo fan, one of the highest paying apps?is Bingo Cash.

This iPhone money game lets you compete in paid Bingo tournaments against people from around the world. Players have identical Bingo cards, and the players with the fastest times and most Bingos called at the end of the game win a share of cash prize pools.

Bingo Cash app

Tournaments often have prize pools ranging from $20 to $70 or even more. So, you can make pretty decent money in a short amount of time if you're skilled at Bingo.

Just note that you have to pay small entry fees to participate in cash tournaments, so Bingo Cash isn't for everyone. Also note that cash games aren't available in the following states: AZ, IN, IA, LA, ME, SC, MT, and WA.

However, if you're looking for a more competitive cash game, Bingo Cash could be worth testing out.

Kashkick

Kashkick is a new survey and rewards website that's available in the United States. It often has dozens of games you can download and play to earn as well. Overall, it's one of the best side hustles for anyone who likes survey and gaming offers.

The World offer usually pays $2 to $6. You can cash out with PayPal at $10, and Kashkick has dozens of game and download offers at a given time.

WorldWinner is a competitive gaming app where you can deposit money and pay to play in cash tournaments for a variety of games.

And I certainly mean variety…WorldWinner features classic games like Scrabble, Wheel of Fortune, Yahtzee, Pyramid Solitaire, and plenty of games involving wordplay.

This platform is exciting because some games payout $10 to $55+ to winners. And some players are making $100 a day with this app or even more when they're on a winning streak.

Again, this app is only for competitive players who want to pay to play. If this isn't you, check out our list of the best real money games without deposits instead.

5. Words To Win

Words To Win is a free cash word game that you can play on both Android and iOS.

The premise of the game is pretty fun. You complete word puzzles that gradually become more difficult. As you complete levels, you slowly earn cash and sweepstake entries for larger prizes.

is Words to Win legit

Once you earn $7 in cash, you can redeem it for free PayPal money. And if you get lucky with sweepstakes, you earn even more.

Just note it takes a long time to cash out, and the app has ads. You probably have to reach at least level 15 to 20+ to cash out. But the puzzles are fun, so this isn't too bad!

6. Blitz Win Cash

Blitz Win Cash is an iPhone-only real money game where you can play tons of different games within a single app.

This includes exciting Bingo, Solitaire, and word games. And with prize pools reaching $45+ per game, it can be quite a lucrative phone side hustle.

However, you have to deposit money and pay to enter these cash games, kind of like Bingo Cash. So, this app is best if you're a competitive player who likes these kind of deposit games.

7. Word Wipe

Word Wipe is a free and fun word puzzle game that involves swiping letters on a board to form new words. And it's also a fun way to earn money with word games if you're willing to play it through InboxDollars.

InboxDollars is a free rewards website that's available in the United States.?Like Scrabble Go, you can create an account with InboxDollars and then get paid to level up on Word Wipe. And there's even a nice $5 sign up bonus to get you started.

Word Wipe

By leveling up, you earn scratch tickets on InboxDollars that you can scratch to get free money. Cash prizes range from a few pennies to $50 to $100 or more if you get lucky.

Personally, I've won a few dollars from InboxDollars with this method. And if you enjoy word games like Word Wipe, you might as well earn a bit of side money while gaming.

8. Word Cube

Like Cookie Cash, another competitive word game that pays you can play is Word Cube.

This iOS app from Tether Studios involves building words by placing tiles on the board, similar to Scrabble. The more words you build, the more points you earn, and you face off against other real players to compete for cash prizes.

Games often pay $5 to $25, but you can play in higher-stake games with larger prize pools.

You have to buy-in to tournament games, so this isn't the best word game that pays if you want to earn money online without spending anything. But it could be an excellent app if you don't mind some competition.

9. Word Blitz

Word Blitz is another way to make money playing word games if you're willing to put your skills to the test in competitive games.

This app from Skillz lets you play against players in a word-creating game that's similar to Word Cube. You have a board of letters, and you have to create as many words as fast as you can to best your opponent.

I like Word Blitz since you get more points the longer the words you create are, so it pays to have a decent vocabulary. Plus, cash prizes can reach $25 to $75 or even more. Overall, it's a pretty competitive yet fun puzzle game for money that you can check out.

Just note that like the other competitive word games that pay real money on this list, you have to pay small entry fees if you want to participate in tournament games.

10. Word Star

Like Word Blitz, Word Star is another game from Skillz that you can try out.

This Android and iOS app is a word puzzle game where you have to swipe letters in a pool to create new words as quickly as possible. The more words you create, the higher your score, and the player with the highest score at the end of a game wins!

Cash games are available to compete in, with many games paying out $5 to $25. You can also find more competitive games with larger prize pools of $50 to $100 or more.

Games have entry fees, so this isn't the best paid gaming app for everyone. However, you can also play free games to hone your Word Star skills before deciding to compete.

11. Words With Friends 2

This classic multiplayer word puzzle game has been popular for years. And I remember playing this game against my classmates as far back as high school.

The base game is free to play and doesn't let you earn money. However, you can often play Words With Friends 2 via Swagbucks to get paid.

Swagbucks sign up

Here's how the offer works:

  1. Sign up with Swagbucks
  2. Download Words With Friends 2 from the games list
  3. Earn $15 worth of Swagbucks after making 100 moves in versus mode

This is one of the higher-paying offers right now in the word game space, so take advantage of it while it's on. And explore other ways to earn with Swagbucks like cash surveys, video offers, shopping deals, and more!

???The Best Swagbucks Game Offers.

12. Real Money Word Search

If you're a fan of word searches, then one more game you can test out is Real Money Word Search.

This is yet another Skillz word puzzle game where you can compete in cash tournaments against other players. You face off with identical word search boards, and the players who find the most words before time runs out win.

With cash prizes of up to $100 or more, Real Money Word Search puts a serious twist on this classic word puzzle game.

Just note that like other Skillz games, you have to deposit money and pay entry fees if you want to compete. But you can also play free games if you just want to have fun.

Personally, I prefer free apps that pay me money, but hey, paid word games for cash are an option for more competitive gamers.

13. Word Race

Word Race is an?iOS and Android app from Tether Studios involves tracing over letters in a box to form letters. Longer words earn more points, and the goal is to score higher than your opponent before time runs out.

What's cool about Word Race is that you can play in head-to-head games or larger cash tournaments. And tournaments can have prize pools ranging from $5 to $10 to $50 or more.

Speed is the most important skill to have for this word game. Just know that cash games require a small entry fee like the other competitive word games for money on this list.

14. Wordscapes

Wordscapes is another leading word puzzle game. In fact, it has over 50 million downloads on the Android app store.

The game lets you solve a wide range of word puzzles so you can challenge yourself. And while it doesn't pay you directly, you can sometimes play it through InboxDollars to get paid.

Just note the ads can be a bit annoying on Wordscapes, so I decided to uninstall the app after testing it.

15. Wealth Words

One final word game that pays money you can play in your spare time is Wealth Words.

This website hosts a variety of word puzzle games you can play. Some are completely free, while others are more competitive and have cash prizes.

For example, Wealth Words has a timed crossword puzzle you can pay a few dollars to play. If you complete the crossword in enough time, you can often earn $5 to $25 or more.

There are also instant cash quizzes, which could be up your alley if you like paid trivia games. And there are even more word games for money on the site like Wealth Wordle, Quick Wordz, Quick Picks, and more games where you can put your skills to the test.

The Best Alternatives & Word Game Scams To Avoid

I've been testing out video game side hustles for years. And while I love a good word puzzle, there are tons of other ways to make money.

Plus, you encounter a lot of word games that are scams. Apps like Island of Word?and Word Roamer are three examples, and I've reviewed them on WebMonkey before. Another similar game, Find The Word, isn't legit either and doesn't pay its players.

Thankfully, there are plenty of other alternatives you can use to paid word games if you want to make more money, including:

  • Branded Surveys: My favorite survey site with free PayPal cash rewards and a $5 cash out minimum.
  • Quiiiz: A very fun and competitive cash trivia game.
  • Cash Giraffe: This Android app pays you to download and play exciting new games on your phone.
  • Prime Opinion: A free website that lets answer surveys for PayPal money and gift cards.
  • Ipsos iSay: A global survey panel with a $5 cash out minimum.
  • PrizeRebel: A versatile rewards platform that pays you to download apps, answer surveys, watch ads, shop online, and play games.

Between these sites and the games in this article, you should have plenty of options to begin making money while enjoying some word puzzles.

Final Thoughts

If you were looking for word games that pay real money, I hope this list helps you find a new fun side hustle you can enjoy in your spare time.

These apps won't make you $500 a day or anything even close to that amount. But I think you can realistically make some pocket money without much effort if you stick to some of the free games.

The paid and competitive games have a higher income potential. But they're not the best fit if you don't want to spend any money.

Surveyworld is a legit and popular survey and research company panel that's available in 70+ countries around the world.

And if you're looking for an easy way to make money online, Surveyworld sounds like a dream. After all, you just have to share your opinion and participate in different surveys to get paid.

But how much money can you realistically make with this site? And is SurveyWorld a scam?

I tested out this website to find out. And my?Surveyworld review is covering how this platform works, if it's legitimate, and what expectations you should have so you can decide if it's right for you.

Looking for other easy money-making ideas? Checkout:

  • Branded Surveys: Share your opinion to earn free gift cards and PayPal cash!
  • Freecash: Earn free gift cards, cash, and crypto by playing games!

Key Takeaways:

  • Surveyworld is free to sign up for
  • This website helps connect users to different survey panels and market research opportunities
  • Surveyworld doesn't pay you directly and just connects you to other companies
  • We don't recommend using Surveyworld since it's confusing and is just a middleman

Is Surveyworld Legit?

Surveyworld is legit and connects users to various survey panels where they can share their opinion to make money. However, the company has a 2.8 star rating on Trustpilot. Many negative reviews express frustration at how confusing the platform is to use.

After testing out Surveyworld, we don't recommend using it either. This is because it's?just a middleman between you and various survey panels. You're better off using more popular survey sites, and Surveyworld isn't how I recommend making money online.

A lack of customer support options and a confusing website are two massive downsides. And it's also pretty?unclear what the website actually offers and who is behind it.

Again, Surveyworld isn't a scam, but we don't think it's the best paid survey site out there. You're much better off with alternative survey sites like Survey Junkie,?Pinecone Research, or even other GPT websites like Freecash.

What Is Surveyworld.me?

Surveyworld.me is a paid survey and research panel that began in the Netherlands in 2017. The website is operated by e-Bron Marketing and connects participants to different survey companies and research opportunities where they can make money for sharing their opinion.

SurveyworldSurveyworld is also known as a survey router. These are websites that don’t have their own surveys but rather collect surveys from third-party providers on their website.

When you click on a survey they redirect you to the actual providers where you take the surveys.

A red flag right off the bat is that there’s not a whole lot of information on the company or the management team behind it. This website isn't accredited by the BBB (Better Business Bureau) either.

But according to its website, Surveyworld has over 200 panels running across 70+ countries. It also states it has over 5 million members at the time of writing.

???The Highest Paying Online Surveys.

How Does Surveyworld Work?

SurveyWorld is completely free to use like other get-paid-to websites. All you have to do is sign up, take part in open surveys and research opportunities, and then get paid.

The platform is available in dozens of countries, including the United States, Netherlands, Canada, and Australia.

Once you create a Surveyworld account, it helps match you with open survey opportunities and research panels where you can complete surveys to get paid.

Surveyworld About

Note: This is the most important part about Surveyworld.me; this website doesn't pay you itself, but rather connects you to paid survey opportunities from other companies.

This also means Surveyworld makes money by referring panelists to these different websites. It's not the actual company running surveys and collecting market data from participants.

On some survey sites you collect points for all of the surveys you complete, however, this isn’t the case on Surveyworld as you need to sign up for each individual survey site you are redirected to.

So to be clear- Surveyworld does not provide any paid opportunities itself. They don’t send you online surveys to take, nor do they manage any of the rewards – all they do is inform you of the research.

This doesn’t mean you won’t get paid for doing surveys but it’s something to keep in mind as you consider your options.

How To Sign Up

Honestly, Surveyworld is pretty confusing to navigate, and it's not clear how you sign up or even use the site at first glance.

There's a lot of vague info on the homepage and various infographics. But there?isn’t even a sign-up button on their website. So right off the bat it’s not clear how to get started with them.

It wasn’t until I googled “SurveyWorld Sign Up” that I was directed to a page with a sign up button.

Upon clicking this I was redirected to a sign up page entirely in Dutch for something called ‘Opinion World’ – not even SurveyWorld. OpinionWorld is absolutely a legit survey site however it is strange that there is no way to sign up for SurveyWorld.

How Much Does Surveyworld Pay?

Since Surveyworld connects you to different survey panels, how much money you make depends on the partner you get connected to. But this is definitely a lower-paying side hustle. Most survey sites pay $1 to $5 per hour max, and this is just a way to make quick money, not a full-time job.

This is the nature of beermoney websites, so don't expect to earn more than $10 to $100 per month with Surveyworld's partners (assuming you put in the time to answer surveys.)

Payout methods also vary depending on the sites Surveyworld recommends but often include:

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Surveyworld promotes?legitimate survey sites
  • You can make some money without much effort
  • Anyone with an Internet connection can take part
  • Surveyworld works with dozens of panels and survey sites from around the world

Cons:

  • You can’t make money directly from the site as all surveys are third-party
  • The website is unclear and difficult to navigate
  • Not transparent in who is running it

Other Surveyworld Reviews

SurveyWorld is pretty poorly rated everywhere you look.? On TrustPilot the site has a very low star rating. Many users complain that they stopped receiving surveys or hearing from SurveyWorld when they finally get near their pay-out requirement.

Other common complaints about Surveyworld relate to the amount of time it takes to accumulate any kind of money. For some it can take hours to make as little as $5.

These are very common complaints about survey sites in general.

Remember, this isn't a high-paying side hustle. If you want to make more money, you're better off using side gig apps like DoorDash or making money online with freelancing.

???The Best Free Money Apps That Pay Instantly.

Is SurveyWorld A Scam?

SurveyWorld isn't a scam, and the platform connects people to other survey panels that they can use to make money online. However, it's just a middleman and doesn't actually pay you itself for completing surveys.

Paid survey sites can be a good way to make money online as a beginner. And, websites like SurveyWorld help you find reputable panels to join.

However, I suggest joining those websites directly instead since this saves a step and yields the same result.

Best Surveyworld Alternatives

Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie is similar to SurveyWorld as it also aggregates surveys from other sites. It's owned by a massive consumer insights platform and market research agency called DISQO.

SurveyJunkie

The main difference is that Survey Junkie has more positive reviews and only requires $5 to cash out, so you can realistically make money.

  • Requirements: Must be in the US, Canada, or Australia
  • Pay: Survey Junkie has a point-based system in which you earn points for the surveys you complete. One point is equivalent to $0.01 USD. For example you could complete a 10 minute survey for 40 points ($0.40 USD)
  • Payment Methods: PayPal money, gift cards, and direct deposit.

Start making money with Survey Junkie!

Pinecone Research

Pinecone Research is a safe and legit site where you earn money for completing surveys. It also has occasional opportunities to get paid to test products.

Pinecone-research

The best part about Pinecone Research is that you make $3 for every survey you complete, so it's more reliable than Surveyworld.me.

  • Requirements:? It’s free to join but you must be 13 and a?resident of the US, UK, Canada, or Germany.
  • Pay: About $3 per survey (10-20 mins)
  • Payment Methods: Includes PayPal money, gift cards, prepaid Visas, and checks.

Try out Pinecone Research!

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a popular microtask website that's one of the most popular Surveyworld alternatives out there.

It’s also different from other survey sites as you can also earn money from watching ads, downloading apps, shopping online, scanning receipts, playing mobile games, trying products, and from paid trivia games.

Swagbucks sign up

As you complete tasks you earn Swagbucks or SB, and 100 SB is worth $1 USD.

  • Requirements: You must be at least 13 years old to join and can reside almost anywhere in the world.
  • Pay:? The pay varies depending on the tasks although for 10-15 min surveys you can expect about 75 SB ($0.75), and 1-3 SB ($0.01 – $0.03) for watching a 2-3 minute video.
  • Payment Methods: Swagbucks offers dozens of gift cards starting at just $1 and PayPal money at $5.

Sign up for Swagbucks?or check out our post on the best Swagbucks hacks to make more money!

Branded Surveys

One additional SurveyWorld alternative you can try out is Branded Surveys. And this is especially true if you want to spend a decent amount of time answering surveys each month.

Branded Surveys website

With Branded Surveys, you get paid for sharing your opinion and completing short surveys. You can also cash out for PayPal money or gift cards with only $10.

Plus, its Branded Elite program pays you with bonus points at the end of the month if you answer enough surveys. This is a nice free money bonus, and it makes Branded Surveys one of the best options if you're grinding out surveys.

  • Requirements: You must reside in the United States, Canada, UK, or Australia and be at least 16 years old
  • Pay: Branded Surveys can pay a few dollars per hour
  • Payment Methods: You can cash out for PayPal cash or dozens of gift cards once you earn $5

Try out Branded Surveys!

Freecash

One final alternative to SurveyWorld worth trying is Freecash. And I think this is the best choice if you want a variety of earning options outside of surveys.

With Freecash, you can get paid to play cash games, answer surveys, shop online, and more. Plus, you can cash out with gift cards, PayPal, or crypto, so there's tons of variety.

Signing up is free and only takes your email. And the mobile gaming offers are particularly lucrative, and this is now one of my favorite gpt sites.

Try out Freecash!

Who Can Use SurveyWorld?

It’s not entirely clear who can and cannot join SurveyWorld. They state on their website that it's available in over 45 countries but don’t specify which ones.

It’s important to remember again that SurveyWorld will simply redirect you to other survey sites, meaning you will have to fit the requirements of each site you complete surveys.

If you’re over 18 years old and live within the US, UK, or Canada you should have no problem accessing almost all survey sites.

How Do I Contact SurveyWorld Support?

The only way to contact SurveyWorld’s support is through its Facebook page, which is a downside.

Technical issues you may face in terms of payments will need to be resolved with the sites you are doing your surveys on as SurveyWorld is not responsible for each site.

???The Best Ways To Make Money Online For Free.

Final Thoughts

Although SurveyWorld is not a scam, there are definitely better options for making money online.

For example, you can just sign up directly with companies like Branded Surveys to begin sharing your opinion for cash instead. Or, you could explore other fun side hustles like playing games with Mistplay or Rewarded Play instead.

Ultimately, SurveyWorld is just an unnecessary extra step to take if you’re looking to get paid for taking surveys as you can sign up for countless other survey sites that provide their own surveys.

Consider one of the other non survey aggregator sites mentioned as they will be easier to navigate. Some also provide more opportunities to make money than just surveys.

If you do choose to go with a survey website, consider using a separate email address not to clog up your inbox with survey related promotions.

It’s also a good idea to make sure you have anti-malware software installed on your computer in case you end up on a sketchy website.

The bottom line is that survey sites won’t make you $1,000 a day or anything close to that. But if you’re ready to put some time into it you can definitely accumulate some extra money.

Hopefully, our Surveyworld.me review helps you decide if this site is worth your time or not.

If you're wondering how to make money online as a beginner, you've come to the right place. At WebMonkey, we've tested hundreds of online jobs, hustles, and gigs over the years. And there are plenty of easy ways to earn money online without having experience or launching a complicated business.

Today, we're sharing some of these beginner-friendly ideas with you. Pick one or more of these ways to make money online for beginners and get ready to start earning!

How To Make Money Online For Beginners

1. Answer Online Surveys

When it comes to making money online for beginners, one of the easiest ways to get started is to use different get-paid-to websites, or GPT sites.

GPT sites are free to use and pay you for completing short online tasks like answering paid surveys, downloading games, watching ads, and shopping online. I've personally earned hundreds if not thousands of dollars from different GPT sites over the years. And this was one of the first ways I made money online when I was in school.

Some of my favorite GPT and survey sites include:

Sites like Branded Surveys and Survey Junkie are where I'd suggest starting. But all of these websites are ways for beginners to make money online in a couple of minutes.

2. Online Freelancing

Another idea to make money online for beginners is to sell your skills online as a freelancer.

For me, freelance writing is what let me begin earning a 100% online income. And I even traveled to 6 continents while working entirely from my laptop.

Colombia Trip
Medellin, 2020. This was when I went all-in on making money online!

But freelance writing is just one way you can make money online as a beginner. Other popular freelance jobs include:

Personally, I found my first clients by turning to my personal network and blog contacts. But you can also use different remote job websites like FlexJobs to find beginner-friendly gigs. Finding beginner jobs on Upwork and Fiverr can also be an excellent way to get some work early on.

3. Play Games For Money

Do you enjoy playing video games? If so, one easy way to make money online for beginners is to use apps that pay you for playing games.

This is another idea I've tested and tried for years since college. And there are actually numerous high paying apps and websites that pay you to play new games like:

I'd suggest starting with Cash Giraffe or Rewarded Play if you like Android gaming. For iOS and PC gamers, Scrambly is my favorite option.

Just note that these apps are really a fun side hustle, not a full-time gig. I've used them in the past, and they're an easy way to make money with your phone. But don't expect serious income from these apps.

4. Start A Blog

If you want a creative passion project that can scale into a business, then starting a blog could be for you.

Blogging provides an opportunity to build an online audience by creating content about topics you love. And there are plenty of ways to monetize your blog, including:

  • Affiliate marketing
  • Selling sponsored posts
  • Display advertisements
  • Offering online coaching
  • Selling courses and eBooks

I also think blogging is a great way to make easy money online for beginners because you can start for free or very little. For example, I started my blog with SiteGround and a cheap WordPress theme, so you don't need a high amount of capital to start this business.

5. Print On Demand

With print on demand, you upload your designs to products and then sell them on a store like Etsy or Shopify. If you get a sale, the POD partner manufactures and ships the product to the customer, so you don't have to worry about any of the logistics.

This model means POD lets you focus on running an online store and coming up with creative designs, so you can focus on what's enjoyable.

When I was in college, one way I tried making money online was by selling meme merchandise on an Etsy print on demand store.

Setting up my store was honestly very simple. All I did was use Printify, a POD manufacturer, create a few meme mugs, and then publish them to my Etsy shop. It was very easy to create products to sell, and I launched my own Etsy shop in just two days.

printify-mug-setup
Creating products with Printify is incredibly easy. This is how I made a Caveman Spongebob meme mug.

And Etsy is just one example of how to make money with POD. You can also make money on Redbubble or by uploading your designs to sites like Zazzle or Society6.

I suggest using Printify if you try out this idea, but there are lots of POD integrations you can use as well.

6. Use Gig Apps

The gig economy has made it super easy to earn quick cash by doing odd jobs for people in your city. And while this isn't a completely online hustle, you still use technology to begin earning.

Here are some super easy gigs you can try out:

  • Walking dogs or pet sitting with gigs like Rover
  • Delivering food with Uber Eats or DoorDash
  • Being a rideshare driver with Lyft
  • Delivering packages for money with Amazon Flex
  • Getting paid to shop for groceries with Shipt

Plenty of these gigs can pay $15 to $25+ per hour in the right market. And this is a nice blend of online and in-person hustling if you want some variety.

7. Use Passive Income Apps

If you're like me, you probably love earning passive income. After all, who doesn't love the idea of making money on autopilot while they sleep or go about their day?

And the great news is that there are plenty of passive income apps you can use to begin earning money online as a beginner.

Several passive income apps I recommend include:

My favorite part is that plenty of these apps let you make money online for free. And you can try out several of them at once to find what works best for you.

8. Make Money On YouTube

Do you love being in front of the camera? If the answer is yes, then you can always try making money on YouTube!

Despite what you might have heard, YouTube isn't too saturated to get started. And you don't need any previous video editing or filming experience either. After all, I launched my YouTube channel without knowing anything about the platform, and it's now passed 70,000 subscribers!

Any decent camera or phone camera is enough to get started, and you can find cheap USB microphones that do that job. And if you're consistent with your content, you'd be amazed at how quickly you improve your YouTube skills.

You can also explore similar ideas, like making money with a podcast or streaming on Twitch, if you like the idea of YouTube.

9. Sell eBooks & Courses

Another method to make money online for beginners you can try involves selling eBooks and digital products.

People do this all the time by selling courses, planners, printables, or guides to help people learn new skills. And this is also what we do at WebMonkey with our freelance writing eBook, Freelance Writing For Freedom, that teaches people how to make money with writing.

Freelance Writing For Freedom

I like selling eBooks and digital content since the profit margin is incredibly high. After all, you don't have to spend any money on inventory, production, or shipping.

You can also start an online store very easily with a platform like Shopify or Sellfy, and use tools like Canva to create products, so you don't need much money to begin selling.

10. Make Money With Microtask Websites

Microtask websites pay you for completing short online jobs that computers can't automate. Some common examples of micro jobs include:

There are also plenty of microtask sites you can use to get started. For example, Clickworker is a fairly global site, and it lets you earn PayPal cash for completing these sorts of jobs in your spare time.

Clickworker

You can also sign up with sites like Appen, Lionbridge, and Amazon MTurk for more opportunities. And even apps like Premise can pay you a bit of extra cash for completing short tasks around your city with your smartphone.

You can read our post on the best sites like Appen for even more microtask sites!

11. Start An Online Business

Starting an online business can sound very intimidating. However, there are plenty of beginner-friendly business models out there that you can try your hand at.

Some online business models you can consider include:

  • Creating and selling merchandise with your own Shopify store
  • Selling handmade goods or digital products on Etsy
  • Making money with online marketplaces like Redbubble
  • Starting a dropshipping business (you can start one easily with Shopify and use Spocket to find winning products)
  • Starting an online services or B2B business

I made a video that covers some of my favorite online business ideas, which includes things like running Shopify stores or starting a service-based business.

This entire ecommerce space is only going to keep growing, so it's the perfect time to start!

12. Join Market Research Groups

If you want to get paid to answer questions, joining online focus groups is another effective way to earn money online as a beginner.

Platforms like FocusGroup, User Interviews, and Respondent are excellent examples. These companies help connect participants with market research groups and studies, and you can potentially earn hundreds of dollars if you qualify for a study.

Respondent participant

Many studies are also completely remote. And while it's often difficult to qualify for studies since researchers are looking for very specific groups of people, it's not uncommon for studies to pay $500 a day or even more for your time.

Platforms like Apex Focus Group can also help you find online gigs. But again, it takes a long time to actually qualify in my experience.

?? The Best Paid Focus Group Websites.

13. Get A Remote Job

While it sounds simple, another effective way to make money online as a beginner is to switch to remote work.

Switching my office job to a remote job was actually how I first got to travel and make money with my laptop. I was working at an advertising agency, and I convinced my boss to let me work from Florida for two months for a change of scenery.

I'm not alone, either. And there are plenty of easy online jobs that can be fully-remote as well like:

  • Customer support agents
  • Content writers
  • Editors
  • HR specialists
  • Paid advertising specialists
  • Graphic designers

If you're currently working an in-office job, you can always try talking with your boss about switching to a remote job like I did. Alternatively, you can look for remote jobs on websites like FlexJobs, which specializes in flexible, remote positions for beginners and more experienced workers.

You can also read our post on the best work from home jobs that provide equipment for more ideas.

14. Become A Virtual Assistant

If you have organizational skills, another way to make money online for beginners is to become a virtual assistant, or VA.

Online business owners like bloggers and ecommerce store operators often need help handling administrative tasks. This is where they hire VAs to help with tasks like:

  • Email correspondence
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Data entry
  • Booking travel arrangements
  • Social media posting

Virtual assistants can usually earn $10 to $20 per hour or get paid a monthly retainer. I've hired a few VAs in the past, and I've always paid a set rate per month for a certain number of hours.

Virtual-Assistant-Salary
VA average pay according to Indeed.

To get started, you can find virtual assistant jobs on marketplaces like Upwork or Fiverr.

Alternatively, companies like Fancy Hands hire U.S. virtual assistants, even if you don't have experience! This makes this an ideal online job for beginners, and you can increase your rates over time as you find more clients.

15. Online Tutoring

Online tutoring gigs are an especially good idea if you have some experience teaching kids or excel in a certain subject. And the pay can be quite decent too.

For example, companies like BookNook pay U.S. tutors between $15 to $22 per hour to teach English and Math to elementary school students.

BookNook Tutor

You need a degree to apply, but this is a high-paying job that also has flexible scheduling options to suit your lifestyle. Other online tutoring jobs are similar. For example, companies like Qkids pay you to teach English online to younger students.

The main downside is that most tutoring gigs require having a degree or being in the process of getting one. But this is an excellent job for retired teachers, college students, and recent graduates.

16. Rent Out Stuff For Money

The rise of the sharing economy means it's easier than ever to make money by renting things to people in your city.

You can do this easily by renting out a spare room or basement to someone on Airbnb. There's also platforms like Turo for your car, Neighbor for storage space, and Fat Lama for equipment and tech.

?? The Best Equipment To Buy To Make Money.

17. Flip Stuff Online

One classic side hustle idea that's been around since we've had money is to flip stuff for profit. And, thanks to technology, you can now run a flipping side hustle entirely online.

For example, a few people I know buy products on discount at stores like Walmart and Kohl's and then resell them for a slight profit on online marketplaces like eBay and Amazon FBA.

This is basic retail arbitrage. And I even know a couple running a million-dollar retail arbitrage business on Amazon, so you can see how high the income potential is.

amazon-retail-arbitrage
A snapshot of their Amazon FBA revenue for the last 30 days.

Retail arbitrage stores take a long time to scale and lots of practice. But the concept is still a perfect way to earn money online for beginners.

You can start out small by purchasing popular products you find on sale, like clothing, shoes, electronics, books, and toys. You can also sell your unused stuff if you want to clean out your house a bit.

Next, you simply resell the merchandise for profit using online marketplaces like eBay or Mercari. If that doesn't work, you can even try local selling websites like the Facebook Marketplace. Even with a small profit margin, you can slowly invest into more inventory as you work growing your resale hustle.

?? The 20+ Best Things To Flip.

18. Test Websites For Money

Testing websites for money is another beginner-friendly gig you can try. Tests generally take 10 to 20 minutes and pay about $10 with this gig, which is a very good hourly rate.

Several popular user-testing gigs you can consider include:

PlaytestCloud

Testing sessions are a first-come, first-serve kind of deal, so it's difficult to get a lot of tests per month.

But using sites like UserTesting and others is an easy way to make quick money in your spare time. And you don't need any experience to start.

19. Sell Photos

Are you a decent photographer? If the answer is yes, you can always try selling stock photos or other types of photography online to make money.

Some of my friends actually do this and sell user-generated content photos and videos to brands. And the best part is you can often get paid for photos or videos you take with your phone for this type of content.

Just note that it can take time to find clients, and the world of stock photography licensing is very competitive.

20. Write On Medium

If you're still wondering how to make money online for beginners, one final idea you can try is to make money writing on Medium.

Medium is a free blogging platform where you make money if premium members read your content. I started writing on Medium or republishing WebMonkey content there a few years ago, and I was able to earn $1,000 without much effort.

Earnings-from-Medium
My Medium earnings.

I think Medium is an excellent way for beginners to make money online because it takes all the technical work out of writing and blogging.

All you have to do is sign up and begin writing. And Medium has plenty of popular niches, including history, tech, politics, entrepreneurship, crypto, and so much more.

It can take a while to build a following on Medium. But if you like writing, I think sites like Medium are worth considering.

Tips For Getting Started

Now that you know how to make money online for beginners, I want to share some tips that I found very helpful when I was starting out and scaling my online income:

  • Set An Income Goal: How much money do you want to make online? Setting goals keeps us accountable and realistic. It doesn't matter if your goal is an extra $100 a day or $10,000 a month; set a goal and chip away at it!
  • Play To Your Strengths: I make money online with writing because it's my best skill. Think about your own skills, and pick hustles that match them as best as possible.
  • Try Several Ideas: Testing different money-making ideas helps you hone your skills and discover what pays well. So, try out freelancing online, or paid survey sites, or some other hustles until you find something that clicks.

Final Thoughts

I hope this guide on how to make money online for beginners helps you find your footing so you can boost your income.

Just remember: it can take months or years to start making serious income online. But this is totally okay.

Personally, it took me more than a year to find my footing with some basic freelance writing gigs. And it took me over four years before WebMonkey was making a full-time income.

However, there are so many ways to make money online without paying anything. And many of these ideas are beginner-friendly. That said, don't be afraid of a challenge. You never really know where an online side hustle will take you until you try.

While it might surprise you, there are plenty of ways to get paid to type and earn money right from your computer. From data entry work to transcription jobs, making money as a typist is a real career that can pay the bills.

There are also plenty of sites and marketplaces where you can find typing jobs. We're covering some of the most popular options plus hourly pay rates so you know what to expect and hot to start.

How To Get Paid To Type

1. Fiverr

Fiverr is a massive freelancer marketplace that's one of the most popular places to find paid typing gigs. And this includes a range of fields like data entry, transcription, freelance writing, and more.

Fiverr website

On Fiverr, freelancers create gigs like a product, with an eye-catching thumbnail and a project description. Fiverr gigs quickly show a potential customer their projected price, their number of ratings, and their average rating (out of five stars).

If you're a skilled typist with a high word-per-minute (WPM) rate, typing jobs on Fiverr could be for you. And many sellers offer gigs like formatting, PDF conversion, and transcription work for $5 per page and up.

Overall, Fiverr is one of the more popular ways to make money typing. But the downside is that it takes time to find your first clients. So, you really need to sell yourself and get profile reviews to stand out from the crowd.

2. FlexJobs

FlexJobs is a popular remote job website where people can find legit online jobs, freelance gigs, and part-time opportunities. And it has some of the higher-paying typist gigs out there since it attracts some massive companies and clients.

Transcription gigs are sometimes posted on FlexJobs. But there are tons more gigs relating to data entry, virtual assistant work, administrative roles, and formatting. Paralegal work is also an option you can consider with the right credentials.

Our favorite part about FlexJobs is that many typing gigs pay $15 to $30+ per hour depending on the listing. And you can find remote gigs, in-person jobs, and full- or part-time opportunities.

Note that FlexJobs has a $2.95 14-day trial. Afterwards, it starts at $9.95 for a week. Considering you get hand-picked, high-paying jobs, this cost could be well worth it.

?? Find your next typing job with FlexJobs!

3. Rev.com

Have you ever put the close captioning on while watching YouTube, and wondered who transcribes all that dialogue and all those details about the setting? Well, it could be you if you start working with Rev.com.

This is one of the most popular ways to make money typing from home. Rev pays its members for transcribing audio and video content, and it's free to sign up.

This is a fun and simple way to earn money online for free. And Rev has almost endless work available for its transcriber freelancers.

On Rev, transcriptionists earn anywhere from $1.43 to $1.50 per audio media minute. This seems fairly reasonable. For instance, a ten-minute video would pay around $15 to transcribe.

However, the real money to be made on Rev is for the multilingual. If you can provide global subtitles, you can earn $4.75 to $12 per minute of transcribed audio. One hour of media to transcribe, for instance, could net you as much as $720.

4. Upwork

Upwork is similar to Fiverr in that it’s a freelancer platform that handles the entire lifecycle of a gig, from sending proposals to collecting payment.

Some of the easiest Upwork jobs are also gigs that involve getting paid for typing. For example, you can find plenty of data entry gigs or transcription work. Translation work is also super popular.

Upwork-walking-job

When clients post jobs on Upwork, they write a job description and also tag the job with relevant skills. Jobs that have the word “typing” in the description or that are tagged with typing will appear. In our research, some of the paid typing opportunities that came up were virtual assistant, customer service rep, and “Quite Possibly the Coolest Admin Job Ever.”

Note that most Upwork jobs involve sending a proposal to your client and pricing it as a lump sum (with milestones) or agreeing on an hourly rate. For typist work, you can expect anywhere from $5 to $20+ per hour or larger lump sums for large projects.

5. GoTranscript

GoTranscript is another platform for getting paid to type, where typists can find both short and long-term projects. The average payment rate is around $0.60 per audio minute.

In GoTranscript’s own words, the average amount of earnings per month is $150, while top earners cap out at around $1,215. Not a bad side hustle if you have a high WPM rate!

Just note that transcription work takes some time and practice to become efficient. So it might take a couple of projects for you to get the hang of things. Plus, if you get poor audio quality projects, the work can be a bit frustrating.

That said, gigs like GoTranscript are one of the easiest ways to make money typing. And you can always try Rev.com alongside GoTranscript to find as much work as possible.

6. TranscribeMe

Like GoTranscript, you can also earn by typing and transcribing audio files with TranscribeMe.

Jobs on TranscribeMe tend to be shorter-term arrangements. Payment is per hour and ranges between $15 to $22, which is better than some other options we’ve explored. The average pay per month is $250, which is 66% higher than the aforementioned GoTranscript.

Want to earn even more money? TranscribeMe offers medical and legal transcription services too. Special Teams related to these industries can earn $60 to $70 per hour.

One great thing about TranscribeMe is that they break audio files into clips. This makes the workload more flexible for freelancers. You can snag as many (or as few) segments of an audio file as you’d like.

The TranscribeMe platform is also very clean and robust in terms of UX design. Overall we like the pay, the opportunity (for specialization), the flexibility, and the platform design. The “catch” is that TranscribeMe does have some tighter qualifications and longer tests for getting in.

?? The Best Online Jobs Paying Weekly.

7. Amazon Mechanical Turk

Amazon Mechanical Turk, or MTurk, is a microtask site where you can earn quick money by completing simple online gigs.

There are all kinds of gigs on MTurk, including many ways to get paid to type online. These can include audio transcription, describing product images, short online surveys, and other forms of data entry.

Gigs on Amazon MTurk are known as Human Intelligence Tasks, or HITs. You claim HITs in a first-come, first-serve basis and get paid after you complete it.

Beginner MTurk workers likely earn $3 to $6 per hour. But you can work your way up to $7 to $10 per hour or so as you become more efficient.

Ultimately, this isn't the highest-paying way to get paid for typing. However, it's an easy online hustle and way to earn money with Amazon.

8. 2Captcha

Captcha puzzles are those images that ask you to click on all the motorcycles, cars, bridges, and other random objects in order to access something online.

But some captcha puzzles involve inputting text. You might recognize these particular puzzles by the distorted letters and numbers you’re asked to transcribe.

2Captcha feeds freelancers like you Captchas to “solve” by inputting the correct text. It's a popular Captcha typing job that's also super easy to get started with.

AI companies and market research companies need Captchas solved all the time for a variety of reasons. So, you can earn small amounts of cash by solving these.

This is similar to some of the paid-to-click offers you find on gpt sites. Just note you can only earn about $0.50 USD for 1 to 2 hours of solving Captchas. So, this is more of an international side hustle targeting countries where $0.50 USD goes a bit farther.

?? The Top Money Earning Apps Without Investment.

9. Freelancer

Freelancer.com is another gig-worker platform that is more similar to Upwork than Fiverr. It also has various paid typing gigs like data entry, captioning, transcription, and formatting roles.

You can sign up for Freelancer.com for free. From there, just complete your profile and begin applying to typing gigs you find.

It might take time to find your first clients. This is why we suggest using various typing websites that pay you for transcribing work so you have more steady income. Meanwhile, you can try to land your first freelancer client on something like Freelancer or Upwork.

10. Scribie

One more paid-to-type website you can check out it Scribie.

This site pays you for transcribing audio files. You need at least 20 to 100 WPM and some previous experience to get started. There's also a short skill test you have to complete before getting paid work.

Rates range from $5 to $20 per audio hour you transcribe. This isn't the highest-paying rate, but you can mix in Scribie with similar typing jobs.

As such, Scribie is a better option for beginning transcriptionists, or freelancers with some gaps to fill in their workload. There are also reviewing, proofreading, and quality control jobs available.

?? The Best Ways To Make $3,000 Fast.

Even More Sites To Make Money Typing

We think the 10 sites above are the best way to get paid to type at home. But you can also explore other sites to land more gigs and explore your options.

Some other popular paid typing sites include:

  • Clickworker
  • CastingWords
  • Babbletype
  • Hollywood Transcriptions
  • Speechpad
  • CrowdSurf
  • TigerFish
  • OneSpace
  • Appen
  • Lionbridge
  • SigTrack
  • PeoplePerHour
  • GMR Transcription
  • Remotasks
  • Amberscript
  • AccuTran Global

Of course, you can consider other side hustles that involve typing too. Starting a blog is a perfect example. You could also get paid to write scripts, short stories, email copy, or all kinds of marketing material. And many of these paths pay more than basic paid typing jobs.

?? The Best Writing Sites Paying Daily.

How Much Money Can You Make Typing?

According to Indeed, the average hourly pay for a typist in the United States is $17.83. How much you make largely depends on the industry you're in, your experience level, and if you have any special qualifications.

Speed and efficiency also matter. This is why many people barely make money when starting out with something like transcription but steadily earn more over time as they improve.

Tips For Making More Money With Typing Jobs

Now that you know where to find paid typing gigs, here are some tips to maximize your income with this hustle:

  1. Increase Your Typing Speed: A high WPM rate is how you make more money per hour. So, practice and hone your typing skills to increase your pay.
  2. Use Several Websites: We suggest using several sites to find gigs so you always have work on the go.
  3. Branch Into Freelancing: Freelancing directly with your own clients can generally pay more than just working for transcription or typing sites.
  4. Consider Similar Gigs: As mentioned, gigs like freelancing writing, proofreading, editing, and blogging can pay a lot more than typing hustles.

Crowdtap is a legit and popular U.S. survey platform that lets you answer questions for free gift cards. And with over 2 million members, it's one of the leading companies in the space.

But is Crowdtap safe and worth using? And how much does it really pay its members?

I checked out Crowdtap to find out. And this review is covering how it works, its earning potential, and other Crowdtap reviews from users so you can decide if it's right for you.

Want more money-making ideas? Checkout:

  • Branded Surveys: Get paid with gift cards and cash for sharing your opinion!
  • Kashkick: Play games and answer surveys to get PayPal cash!

Key Takeaways:

  • Crowdtap is a free survey app and lets you answer short surveys to earn points
  • Most surveys are 1 to 5 questions and pay around $0.05 to $0.20
  • You can cash out with free gift cards after earning $5 worth of points
  • Crowdtap is available in the United States if you're 13 or older

What Is Crowdtap?

Crowdtap is a U.S. survey site that began in 2009. Since its founding, the company has grown to over 2 million members, and it provides an easy way to earn money online by sharing your opinion.

The platform is completely free to sign up for and is available if you're 13 or older. This makes it a popular teen survey site, and signing up just takes a few minutes.

CrowdTapOverall, Crowdtap is similar to survey apps like AttaPoll and Branded Surveys. And if you're looking for a quick and simple way to get free gift cards in your spare time, it could be the right website for you.

Is Crowdtap Legit?

Crowdtap is legit, and the company has thousands of positive reviews with a 4.3 star rating on the Apple App Store and 3.7 star rating on the Google Play Store. There's also plenty of online payment proof, and Crowdtap is a popular and easy way to earn free gift cards in your spare time.

The main complaint people have about Crowdtap is that it takes a long time to cash out. So, keep the low earning potential in mind when trying out this side hustle.

Also note that using a VPN or trying to cheat Crowdtap gets you banned, so only use it if you live in the United States.

How Does Crowdtap Work?

You create an account on Crowdtap with your email address or by connecting your Facebook account. Once you're a member, you then complete a short profile questionnaire about yourself.

This questionnaire helps match you with more relevant surveys. Other companies like Survey Junkie and Swagbucks also do this, so don't be alarmed. From there, you can answer available surveys on your dashboard.

What's nice about Crowdtap is that surveys are usually very short and just involve answering a poll or short multiple choice question. In contrast, most gpt sites I've tested have surveys ranging from five to 30+ minutes, which is a real grind.

CrowdTap survey
One of the surveys on my Crowdtap account.

As you can see in the screenshot above, this Crowdtap survey is just a simple multiple choice question asking me if I've shopped at any of the pharmacy stores in the last six months.

Once you complete a survey, you earn a few points, and you can usually answer a survey or two per day before you run out of them.

Crowdtap also has sample and product testing gigs. However, I've never seen any of these opportunities in my account, so surveys are the main way to make money.

You can sometimes get disqualified from surveys. But overall, Crowdtap is a quick and snappy way to share your opinion to get paid. And you can complete additional “missions,” which are extra profile questionnaires, to unlock even more surveys and free product testing opportunities.

How Much Does Crowdtap Pay?

You need 1,000 Crowdtap points to cash out a $5 gift card, which means one Crowdtap point is worth $0.005, or half a cent. Most surveys pay anywhere from a few points to a few dozen points depending on how long they take.

This means most Crowdtap surveys only pay pennies, or maybe $0.10 to $0.25 if you get lucky. So, it's certainly not the highest paying survey site out there.

But keep in mind: most Crowdtap surveys only take a minute or even less to complete. So, it's the type of survey platform you can use on the side and occasionally cash out a free gift card. Overall, I'd expect about $5 every month or two from Crowdtap at most.

Reward Options & Cashing Out

At this time, Crowdtap only offers free gift cards, so you can't redeem PayPal money or get paid to your bank account. Some of the gift card options include:

CrowdTap gift cards

Gift card codes are sent electronically to your email once you cash out and usually arrive within one hour. A lack of cash prizes is a downside, but there are over a dozen gift cards to choose from, including ones to many major retailers.

???The Best Money Earning Apps With No Investment.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Easy to use platform
  • Surveys don't take long to complete
  • Low $5 cash out minimum
  • Available on Android and iOS as well as desktops
  • Also has occasional product testing gigs and user interviews that pay more

Cons:

  • Low earning potential
  • Only available in the United States
  • No sign up bonus
  • The referral program has been discontinued
  • Many reviews complain about new app glitches

Other Crowdtap Reviews

After researching Crowdtap, I think it's a legitimate survey site and an easy way to make money online. And I like how quick the surveys are to complete.

But one great way to tell if a money-making idea is worth it or not is to read testimonials from other users. And, thankfully, there are numerous Crowdtap reviews on the Google Playstore from users that provide some valuable insights:

  • Jennifer J says: “I LOVE this app. It is truly the best way to earn gift cards the fastest with no ads. I've consistently used this to pay for Spotify premium and many Amazon and Walmart shopping trips. I've noticed a lot of survey errors lately and this has never been the case.”
  • Zachary is hip says: “I love this app! I use it every day during my lunch break and if I have an extra few minutes throughout the day. Better than just scrolling through social media.”
  • Angie Orr says: “Up until recently this was my favorite app. It was a really easy, convenient app to use. The last month it started freezing up on me and then wouldn't let me log into my account, kept saying my session had expired.”

CrowTap reviews
A recent Crowdtap review on the Google Playstore.

Most other users seem happy with Crowdtap and have cashed out numerous times. However, a growing number of recent reviews claim the app is glitchy and surveys don't always pay.

This is a downside worth noting, so be prepared for a few hiccups and glitches if you use Crowdtap's app.

The Best Crowdtap Alternatives

Since Crowdtap doesn't pay too much and is a bit glitchy, I think mixing in other instant cash survey sites and apps is a good idea.

Thankfully, there are numerous Crowdtap alternatives you can use, including:

My video covers even more of my favorite survey sites and apps that you can use alongside Crowdtap to make some side cash. But I suggest starting out with Branded Surveys for mobile surveys and Freecash for more earning options.

Is Crowdtap Safe?

Crowdtap is safe, and you don't need to pay to use the app or enter your credit card information. It also anonymizes data to help maintain user privacy.

However, you need to be comfortable with sharing your opinions and data with Crowdtap. It's a market research platform, so it collects information from its users and shares this data with its partners.

Who Can Use Crowdtap?

You can sign up for Crowdtap if you're 13 or older and live in the United States. The platform is available on desktop as well as Android and iOS devices.

Crowdtap Customer Support

You can contact Crowdtap customer support by submitting a request form on its website or by using its live chat feature. Just note that customer support is available during the week from 9am to 6pm ET and isn't available on the weekend.

Final Thoughts

Crowdtap is worth it if you want an easy-to-use survey app to earn free gift cards in your spare time. And it's an excellent app to use alongside other survey apps like Branded Surveys.

In contrast, Crowdtap isn't worth it if you want to earn a full-time income. In this case, you're better off looking for legitimate online jobs or starting a higher-paying side hustle, like freelancing.

Ultimately, you can probably make $5 every month or two with this company. Hopefully, my Crowdtap review helps you decide if this survey platform is worth using.

Methodology

For this Crowdtap review, I signed up for the platform to learn how it works and to begin making money with it. I haven't completed enough surveys to cash out yet, but I'll be updating this review when I do.

This review also relied on third-party data like other reviews from users, Trustpilot scores, and app store reviews. The main factors our team considers when reviewing survey sites and money-making applications include:

  • Ease-of-use
  • Earning potential
  • Ease of cashing out
  • Reward variety

You can read our Editorial Guidelines page for a breakdown of the review methodology we use as well. If you have questions about this review or have experience with using Crowdtap yourself, you can also let us know in the comments.

Do you want to make money in your spare time without having to spend money? If the answer is yes, then these money making apps without investment are up your alley.

I've been testing out ways to make money with phones for years at this point. And in this post, I'm sharing 12 of my all time favorite ways to make money with your phone without investment.

The Best Money Earning Apps Without Investment

1. Surveoo

Surveoo is one of my favorite instant cash survey sites that lets you earn money online without spending a penny.

It's also available in 100+ countries, making it a popular international survey site. And surveys you complete payout anywhere from $0.10 to $5 or more.

I like Surveoo because it generally has dozens of surveys you can complete, so opportunities don't run out. You also get to cash out right to PayPal or with 10+ free gift cards in many countries.

?? Start earning with Surveoo!

2. Branded Surveys

Branded Surveys is a leading survey website that's available in the United States, Canada, and the UK. And it has a new mobile app that lets you answer surveys while on the go.

Surveys pay anywhere from $0.25 to $1 to $2. You only need $5 to cash out, however, so it's a nice way to get quick cash without spending your own.

Branded Surveys website

Branded Surveys lets you cash out with a variety of gift cards and PayPal cash. And you can earn bonus cash each month through its Branded Elite loyalty program.

There's also a $1 sign up bonus going on right now, so it's a perfect time to try out this leading survey app.

Get $1 from Branded Surveys!

3. Freecash

Freecash is a new rewards platform I've been testing out for the last couple of months in my spare time.

I've already earned over $80 with just a bit of testing. And my favorite part about Freecash is that is has 100+ ways to earn at a given time.

Downloading apps, watching videos, answering surveys, and playing real money games are just a few examples. The team also adds new offers all the time to keep things fresh.

You can sign up for free with your email. Freecash has a website version as well as a free Android app. And when you cash out, you choose between PayPal cash, crypto, and free gift cards.

Try out Freecash!

4. Capital One Shopping

Tired of overspending when you shop online? Then you need to try Capital One Shopping.

This is the best earning app without investment for online shoppers in my opinion. And that's because Capital One Shopping automatically applies available coupon codes at 30,000+ stores when you shop online.

Venmo 10 sign up bonus

All you need to do is download its free shopping extension to get started. You can then save money on autopilot by having Capital One Shopping on your side.

It even has an Amazon price-comparison tool to help you find the lowest prices. Plus, you can earn rewards that are redeemable for gift cards if you shop at partner merchants.

Start saving with Capital One Shopping or read our Capital One Shopping review for all the info.

Note: Capital One Shopping compensates us when you sign up with the provided links.

5. Cash Giraffe

Cash Giraffe is an Android gaming app that lets you make money by playing new games.

What's unique about this app is that you can cash out at only $0.20. And when I tested out Cash Giraffe, it was one of the easiest win real money apps I've ever used.

The game variety is also a selling point, and Cash Giraffe has plenty of genres to choose from. Plus, the team adds new games all the time to keep things fresh.

Try out Cash Giraffe!

6. Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie is another money making app without investment I've used over the years. And let me tell you, this app is super simple to use.

All you have to do is create a free account with Survey Junkie and then answer some questions about yourself. From there, you answer additional short surveys to begin earning.

SurveyJunkie

Surveys can pay upwards of $1 to $3, making it one of the highest paying survey companies in the business. And my favorite part is you only need $5 to cash out.

In terms of rewards, dozens of gift cards and PayPal money are available. So, most people can cash out in just a day or two of using the app.

Try out Survey Junkie!

7. Rewarded Play

If you have an Android phone and enjoy mobile games, then Rewarded Play is for you.

This is one of the leading ways to earn money by playing games. All you have to do is download Rewarded Play and then look through its library of games you want to play.

Rewarded Play app

From there, Rewarded Play pays you with coins as you discover and play new games. You can then cash out with a range of free gift cards at only $5.

In my experience, this is a nice way to snag a few gift cards each month while checking out new games. And I like that you can cash out quickly at only $5.

If you have an iPhone, don't fret! Instead, check out our post on the top iPhone money games that pay.

Start earning with Rewarded Play!

8. Scrambly

Scrambly is a new rewards website and Android app I've been testing out the last few months. And it's a must-try if you live in the United States or Canada.

It's similar to Freecash and pays you to download different games, answer surveys, shop online, and more. But some of its offers pay $25 to $55+ right now, so it's extremely competitive.

I've already earned over $400 with Scrambly since getting started. And I love that you can cash out with PayPal at only $1. Free gift cards to Amazon, Spotify, Apple, Walmart, and Google Play are also available.

Start making money with Scrambly!

9. Prime Opinion

Prime Opinion is an international survey site I've also been using lately. And like other survey companies, it's an easy way to get paid for your opinon and without having to spend money yourself.

I like Prime Opinion in particular since its website is very easy to use. In contrast, a lot of survey sites I've tested are glitchy and irritating to use.

Surveys pay you anywhere from $0.10 to $1 to $3, or even more if you get lucky. You can cash out with gift cards and PayPal cash at only $5 as well.

Sign up for Prime Opinion!

10. InboxDollars

If you live in the United States, another leading money app without investment you can test out is InboxDollars.

This popular rewards website has a lot going for it. For one, you get a $5 sign up bonus right off the bat. You can then make money by completing surveys, watching videos, reading emails, shopping online, and more.

InboxDollars

You need $15 to cash out the first time, which is the main downside in my opinion. But future cash outs only take $10. For rewards, PayPal cash and a wide range of gift cards are available.

Get $5 from InboxDollars!

11. Five Surveys

Are you tired of confusing survey sites with low payouts? Then Five Surveys is for you.

This free site pays you to answer short surveys in your spare time. And you earn $1 for every survey you complete, which is a pretty competitive rate.

Five Surveys site

My favorite part is that it only takes $5 to cash out. So, there's no waiting around for ages to cash out, and you're not dealing with a confusing points system.

As for rewards, Five Surveys lets you redeem PayPal cash and gift cards to companies like Amazon, Nike, iTunes, Starbucks, and Target.

Start earning with Five Surveys!

12. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a leading money-making app that you can use to earn cash and gift cards in your spare time. And I've been using this platform for the last 5+ years and have cashed out dozens of times.

With Swagbucks, you can earn with surveys, gaming offers, shopping online, and by watching ads. You can then cash out with dozens of gift cards at only $1.

Swagbucks sign up

PayPal cash is also available at $5. And Swagbucks has even more options to earn like scanning receipts, answering daily polls, and referring your friends to join.

Its app is also available on both Android and iOS. Overall, it's one of the most popular ways to make money with your phone without investing out there, and for good reason.

Start earning with Swabucks!

13. Nielsen Panel

Do you want to earn even more passive income? If the answer is yes, then the Nielsen Mobile Panel is one of the top money earning apps without investment you should use.

Nielsen is a massive market research company that's willing to pay for your data. All you do is download its mobile panel app, register your device, and then you earn as you share data about how you browse the web.

nielson panel passive income

The panel pays $50+ per year in free money, all for just sharing your data. And you can enable it on your desktop or laptop as well for additional cash sweepstake entries.

I used Nielsen Panel during college, and it's an easy way to earn money each month without having to invest or lift a finger.

Try out the Nielsen Panel!

14. Honeygain

Passive income apps are one of my favorite categories of money earning apps without investment. In fact, I've tested out dozens of these apps over the years ever since my phone farming experiments.

And out of all of these apps, Honeygain is one of the easiest to use. It lets you sell your internet bandwidth to other people, turning your smartphone or laptop into a node in a VPN network.

Honeygain website

Honeygain pays you with small amounts of passive income as you share your bandwidth. All you have to do is let the app run in the background, so it's perfect for a spare device.

I like Honeygain since it's globally available. You can also cash out with PayPal at $20 or with JumpTask, a new crypto platform, anytime you want.

Also, if you like Honeygain, make sure you check out Pawns as well. It also lets you earn money without investing since you can share your internet or answer surveys to earn.

15. MyFreeApp

MyFreeApp is available in the United States and also lets you try new apps and games to earn. It has dozens of offers to choose from, and the gaming offers are what I love the most.

MyFreeApp

For example, you can get paid to play a wide variety of game genres. Word, action, Bingo, strategy, and puzzle money games are all available. Plus, new offers get added daily.

As for rewards, PayPal cash is available at only $1. You can also cash out with a range of gift cards. And if you use our promo code WEBMONKEY, you get a nice $1 bonus after making your first cash out of at least $3.

16. Money Well

If you like the idea of playing video games to make money, then Money Well is for you.

Like Cash Giraffe, Money Well lets you earn cash and gift cards by playing games. All you do is download Money Well and then choose additional games you want to play from its library.

Money Well app

You can redeem your earnings for PayPal cash at just $0.50, which is a low cash out threshold. And I like using this money making app since it has a decent mix of game genres.

Personally, I stick with puzzle, strategy, word, and action games the most with Money Well. But there are dozens of games to try at a given time.

Start earning with Money Well!

17. Mistplay

Mistplay is yet another popular way to play Android games for cash and gift cards. And this is actually one of the first money earning apps without investment I've ever tried.

The app is similar to Cash Giraffe and pays you to try out new games. The best part is how extensive Mistplay's gaming library is, so there's always new games to try.

Mistplay app

I like apps like Mistplay in particular since you can cash out at only $0.50 for prizes like Amazon gift cards. The company also added PayPal rewards recently at $10.

Start earning with Mistplay!

18. Cash-Back Apps

One final category of ways to make money with your phone without investment I want to cover are reward apps.

Now, these types of apps do require you to spend money on purchases to earn cash back. But if you have to buy everyday essentials anyway, why not get paid to shop?

Some of the top cash-back apps I've used for years and suggest checking out include:

With just a few apps, you should be able to earn a steady stream of passive cash and gift cards. And again, you can earn these rewards for buying products you normally buy anyways.

?? Earn passive income with Bridge Money!

What Are The Best Money Earning Games Without Investment?

Some of my favorite money earning games without investment requirements include:

Just note that some of these platforms also have game offers that pay you for spending money or reaching a certain in-game milestone. These offers tend to be more lucrative than completely non-investment offers. However, you can stick to free offers if you want to keep things simple.

Our post on the best free online games to win real money with no deposit has even more options for you to try.

How Much Can You Earn?

In my experience, making $10 to $50 a month with these no investment money apps is realistic. You can earn more if you spend more time with surveys and cash gaming apps, but this isn't a full-time income opportunity.

At the end of the day, these types of apps are an easy phone side hustle anyone can start. But you should have realistic expectations about earning potential. Additionally, stick with passive earning apps if you don't want to spend more time on your phone each day.

Kashkick is a legit rewards website that lets you earn by answering surveys and downloading new apps and games. And it's giving larger sites a run for their money with low payout thresholds and a diverse range of money-making offers.

But is Kashkick a scam or a real way to make money online? And how much does this site really pay?

I signed up and tested it out to find out the truth. And my Kashkick review is sharing how it works, its pros and cons, and other reviews from users to help you decide if this website is worth using.

Key Takeaways:

  • Kashkick is a rewards platform that's available in the United States
  • You make money by answering surveys, downloading apps, and trying new games
  • Kashkick lets you cash out to PayPal after you earn $10
  • New offers get added daily and Kashkick also has a mobile app

Is Kashkick Legit?

Kashkick is legit and pays you real money for answering surveys and completing offers. It also has a 3.8 star rating on Trustpilot, and there's plenty of payment proof online from other users.

is Kashkick legit or scam?

I was also able to sign up for the website and complete surveys without any issues. Overall, it's very easy to use and is a reputable company.

Some offers require spending money to earn, but there are free offers too. And it's one of the best free ways to make money online, and I was able to make money with the platform quickly after signing up.

What Is Kashkick?

Kashkick is an online rewards platform that pays you for taking surveys?and playing video games. It's completely free to sign up for, and it's available in the United States.

It has a wider variety of money-making tasks compared to a lot of survey sites. And it's most similar to competitors like Freecash and MyFreeApp.

Kashkick

Kashkick even has other offers to make money, like earning money by shopping online, playing games, and more.

If you're a fan of gpt websites like?Swagbucks and Branded Surveys, Kashkick is going to feel very familiar and is worth adding to your list of money-making websites.

How Does Kashkick Work?

I created an account with Kashkick to learn how the platform works before writing this review. I found the site quite easy to use, and Kashkick works in just seven simple steps:

  1. Sign up for Kashkick
  2. Complete your profile
  3. Answer paid surveys
  4. Complete paid shopping offers
  5. Play games
  6. Refer friends
  7. Complete extra cash offers

1. Sign Up

To sign up for KashKick, head over to www.kashkick.com and fill out the small form at the top of the page.

You just need an email and password to sign up. I was able to sign up for Kashkick in a minute or two when testing it out.

sign-up-for-Kashkick

After you sign up, Kashkick sends you an email confirmation you need to click on to activate your account. Just note that you have to be 18 or older and live in the United States to join Kashkick.

2. Complete Your Kashkick Profile

Like other survey websites, you have to fill out additional information to complete your profile.

This helps Kashkick serve you surveys that are more relevant to your lifestyle. And Kashkick actually pays a $1 sign up bonus for completing this step, which is nice.

Kashkick-surveys

In your profile survey, Kashkick asks questions about your:

  • Age
  • Ethnicity
  • Household composition
  • Education level
  • Income
  • Zip code

profile-questionnaire-Kashkick

As you can see in the screenshot, Kashkick asked me about my household composition for one of the questions.

Again, Kashkick asks these questions to match you to relevant surveys and so survey panels actually know who is answering their questions. Other survey sites we've tried like Prime Opinion and Scrambly do the same thing, so don't be alarmed.

Completing your profile takes around three minutes. Just remember to answer honestly since your answers impact your future survey eligibility.

3. Answer Surveys

Once you complete your profile, Kashkick notifies you when you match for a paid survey. You can find available surveys under the surveys tab.

Like Survey Junkie, another paid survey site, you only get invited to surveys you can answer immediately and are a good match for.

Kashkick-answer-surveys

This invitation requirement means you don't have to answer a bunch of questions, only to find out you're not eligible for a survey and that you face disqualification.

The first survey I could take paid $0.75 and took about 5 minutes to complete. Time and pay increases from there, but expect most surveys to be around $0.75 to $2 or so.

As you can see on my Kashkick dashboard, these surveys pay $1.75, $1.94, and $2 upon completion. Just make sure you complete the profile questions because you will be locked out of taking surveys if you don’t.

4. Complete Paid Offers

At the top of the KashKick menu, there's an “Offers” button that lets you complete different offers to earn cash.

In a nutshell, you sign up for an account with certain companies and earn cash rewards for doing so.?Some of the most popular offers include:

Kashkick-offers

For example, if you sign up for a new account with Credit Karma, you earn $2 as a reward. Kashkick partners with numerous financial companies, streaming services, mobile games, and even passive income apps like MobileXpression and pays you for trying new products or services.

These rewards range anywhere from $1 all the way up to $40 just to sign up for an app or website.

5. Play Games For Money

Kashkick also pays you to play games and has numerous mobile games you can download, level up, and earn cash from.

Some popular games on Kashkick include:

Play-games-Kashkick

You usually have to reach a certain level or in-game achievement to get paid for playing mobile games, so this system is similar to other paid gaming apps like Mistplay and Rewarded Play.

Some of the games have pretty high requirements and even encourage you to make in-app purchases to reach the requirement faster. But it's not a requirement to spend money to level up. And?if you play mobile games anyway or are going to use some of Kashkick's partners, you might as well get paid for doing so.

If you want even more legit cash gaming options, I suggest reading our post on the best iPhone games for money and the best Android games that pay.

6. Refer Friends

Kashkick's referral program pays you?25% of all earnings from the people you invite to the platform. This can help you make money on autopilot, and the fact it's a lifetime referral bonus is pretty nice.

7. Complete Extra Cash Offers

This is a new Kashkick feature, and the company has recently started working with RevU and AdGem to bring even more earning opportunities to members.

With each of these offer walls, you can get paid for completing tasks like:

Kashkick cash offers

Many of these extra cash offers pay $2 to $10. But there are some with $50 sign up bonuses or even higher payouts. Plus, my Kashkick account has dozens of offers. If you run out of surveys to answer, this is an excellent section to take advantage of.

Kashkick Rewards & Cashing Out

Kashkick pays users with PayPal cash and there's a $10 withdrawal minimum. You can't redeem free gift cards at this time, but you're earning real cash, which I like.

I also like that Kashkick tells you exactly how much tasks like answering surveys or completing gaming offers pay, so you know what you're getting into.

Kashkick-rewards

You can withdraw the money you’ve made by heading to “My Account” and then “Withdrawals”.

A $10 redemption minimum is?decent?for a paid survey website. Leading websites like Branded Surveys and Survey Junkie just require $5, and Swagbucks and Freecash have?rewards starting at $1, so keep this in mind.

How Much Does Kashkick Pay?

You can expect to earn between $5 – $50 per month as a casual KashKick user who answers a few surveys. But you can earn $50 to $100 or much more if you complete some of the download and gaming offers.

Kashkick has offers paying $50 to $100+ upon completion. But again, some of the more lucrative offers require spending time or money to complete them.

Ultimately, I think Kashkick is a reliable side hustle. Just don't expect to quit your day job or make $5,000 a month with this website.

Extra Reading – 10+ Game Apps That Pay PayPal Cash.

Other Kashkick Reviews

I tested out Kashkick to learn how it works and to see how much it pays. Overall, I think it's a legit survey site that has some decent offers and bonuses as well.

But my favorite thing to do when deciding if a platform is right for me is to check what real users are saying about the platform. That way, you don’t have to take Kashkick’s word for it (or even my word for that matter).

Here’s are some other Kashkick reviews from real online users on Trustpilot:

  • “Easy to navigate and easy to make money and a variety of ways to make money.”
  • “Perhaps it works for others but for me, it took me close to a month to get $10 dollars and after requesting a payout, I found out that my account was deleted with no explanation. 1 month later, still no money.”
  • “Idk other reviews are saying I’ve cashed out 5 times on the site…”

Kashkick reviews

There are some mixed reviews. But overall, most users are happy with Kashkick and agree that it's legit and pays out on time. Some users report that it takes a while to earn $10. But if you actually take advantage of all of Kashkick's earning opportunities, not just paid surveys, you should be able to make $10 fast and consistently.

Again, Kashkick isn't a way to get rich and is just an easy hustle to get money quickly. However, there is Kashkick payment proof and some users state they can cash out regularly, so it's a pretty reliable money-making platform in my opinion.

Extra Reading – How To Make Money In One Hour.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Reasonable $10 payout threshold
  • Easy to sign up
  • Great referral program
  • Can take any survey you receive
  • Rewards are in dollars (no points)
  • Earn real PayPal cash, not gift cards or sweepstakes
  • Some?passive income options like watching ads for cash

Cons:

  • It's hard to reach payout minimum for many users
  • Low earning potential
  • Only available in the United States

The Best Kashkick Alternatives

When testing out Kashkick, I found that the site is easy to use and has a nice variety of ways to earn. And some of the gaming and download offers are also quite lucrative.

But if you're a fan of paid survey websites, you know it's helpful to have several legit websites in your arsenal so you can cherry-pick the highest paying surveys.

So, if you're looking for some legit websites like Kashkick, you can try:

I also made a video on different reward platforms that pay you to try new apps, and this video includes Kashkick. And you can stack several of these apps to earn as much as possible.

???Try out Freecash!

Is Kashkick A Scam?

Kashkick isn't a scam, and there's plenty of positive reviews and online payment proof for this survey site. I was also able to sign up and use the site without any issues, and it's a very beginner-friendly way to make money online.

You won't get rich by using Kashkick, but the site doesn't claim that you will, so it's not scammy whatsoever in my opinion.

Is There A Mobile App?

Kashkick recently came out with an Android and iOS app. This is a massive improvement for the platform, and you can now hustle with your phone while you're on the go.

You can also check out some alternatives. High paying apps like Swagbucks or Mistplay are some of my favorite phone-based apps. And you can read our post on the best survey apps for opportunities to earn while on the go.

Is There Customer Support?

You can contact Kashkick's customer support team by emailing [email protected]. This is especially useful if you run into issues cashing out or if an offer doesn't pay you properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who Can Use Kashkick?

Anyone who lives in the United States and has a valid Paypal account can use Kashkick. You must also be at least 18 years old to use the platform. Don't try to use Kashkick with a VPN since this is a surefire way to get banned, as with other survey sites.

Is Kashkick Safe?

Yes, Kashkick is safe and lets you make money in your spare time. It just asks for your email address and to create a password when you sign up, and you don't have to enter payment information or download anything to use this website.

You have to answer a demographic questionnaire to complete your profile, but you don't need to add banking information and anything besides your PayPal email address.

How Long Does Kashkick Take To Pay?

Kashkick pays members twice per month. So, if you reach $10 within a few days, you have to wait about one week for Kashkick to process another round of payments and for money to deposit in your PayPal account.

?? The Best Earning Apps Without Investment.

Final Thoughts

At the end of the day, this KashKick review didn’t surprise me. It’s really another standard money-making website that has a few ways to make money.

In my opinion, it's a reliable, legit website that lets you earn PayPal cash in your spare time. And I enjoy using it alongside sites like Prolific,?Branded Surveys, and Swagbucks.

I also like?Kashkick since its offer wall has some high-paying sign up bonuses. And the company keeps adding ways to earn, so there's usually something new to test out.

Of course, options like freelancing online or various gig apps can pay more than any reward app. But for a flexible way to make money in your spare time, I think Kashkick is worth trying out.

How To Make Money With A Laptop

1. Try Freelance Writing

In 2020, I left my office job and went all-in on freelance writing while living in Colombia. At the time, I was still somewhat new to freelance writing. I had a few clients, and I was earning anywhere from $0.05 to $0.10 per word for the various contracts.

Colombia Trip

All-in-all, I was earning about $2,000 a month from freelance writing, and the rest was all blogging income.

But what I love about freelance writing is that you can gradually increase your rates as you become a better writer, land more clients, and specialize in a niche.

After about a year and a half, I had a few more clients and was earning $0.15 to $0.25 per word with some of them.?At this point, I was making about $4,000 to $6,000 per month from my freelance writing.

And this is the perfect way to make money with a laptop since you don't need a fancy setup or even a massive desktop screen to work efficiently. Plus, you can always post up in a cafe, coworking space, or your Airbnb if you decide to hit the road and get work done.

Pro Tip: Check out my new course, Freelance Writing For Freedom, for the exact game plan I used to go from $0 to $100,000+ in writing income!

2. Answer Paid Surveys

Want an easy laptop side hustle? You can always try using paid survey sites to make some extra cash.

This isn't a very lucrative side hustle. But it's a reliable way to snag some free money and gift cards in your spare time. A few of my favorite sites that I've tested out include:

Branded Surveys website

These sorts of GPT sites won't make you thousands of dollars. But if you just want some part-time pocket change, these sites can make a few dollars per hour.

???Start earning with Branded Surveys!

3. Start A Blog

Another awesome way to make money with a laptop is to start a blog. This is a similar idea to freelance writing, except you're making content for your own business, not a client.

I started WebMonkey in 2018. And in its first year, it only made $1,700. But fast forward a few years, and WebMonkey made $272,000 in 2022, which just goes to show how profitable blogging can be.

Mediavine Income report
My all-time Mediavine income and rpm.

It took a few years to get here. But all of this started out with my trusty Acer laptop, some basic WordPress hosting, and an inexpensive blogging theme.

What I really like about blogging is that you have a lot of ways to generate revenue, including display ads, affiliate marketing, sponsorships, and selling your own courses or products. For example, a lot of bloggers make money by selling ebooks or offering coaching programs and online courses.

And a lot of this can turn into passive income as well. For example, WebMonkey earns $400 a day approximately just from Mediavine ads alone.

Again, this all took hundreds of articles, learning SEO, and a lot of trial and error. But it's an amazing way to make money from your laptop, and the income ceiling is practically endless.

4. Invest For Income

This is a decent passive income side hustle that anyone can start these days thanks to the power of technology. And you have lots?of options if you want to begin investing for income.

For example, some popular investing options include:

  • Investing in real estate with crowdfunding companies like Arrived
  • Investing in dividend stocks and ETFs
  • Buying artwork with companies like Masterworks
  • Opening a high-yield savings account (companies like Current pay 4% APY and have a $50 sign up bonus)
  • Bonds and CDs
  • Buying alternative assets like sports cards, gold and silver, or other collectibles

Arrived real estate investing

There's no single right or wrong answer for how to get started. And your investing timeframe, goals, and risk tolerance all influence what's right.

If you have questions, it's wise to speak with a financial professional. But I do love the fact that just about anyone can start putting their money to work with their laptop and without needing a fortune.

5. Make Money With Online Freelancing

One of the best parts about working with your laptop is that you can gain location independence.

In fact, I'd say most people I've met during my digital nomad travels were remote workers. Some popular remote-friendly jobs people had included:

  • App developer
  • Computer programmer
  • Digital marketing
  • Graphic designer
  • Photography
  • Software developer
  • Social media manager
  • SEO expert
  • Translator
  • Transcription and typist jobs
  • Video editor
  • Virtual assistant
  • Web designer

Colombia was full of programmers when I lived there for example. And if you travel in a similar time zone to where your work is based, you really don't have to adopt a crazy schedule. Plus, coworking spaces are?everywhere?these days, so you can find reliable, fast Internet while making money with a laptop.

If you need a helping hand finding your next remote job, you can try looking for Upwork jobs or using different remote job websites. You can also use FlexJobs to find flexible and high-paying remote gigs, even as a complete beginner!

6. Become An Online Tutor

If you enjoy working with kids or helping people learn new skills, online tutoring is another gig worth considering.

People commonly do this by teaching English online. Once again, I met many online ESL teachers while living in South America and over in Dubai.

The main attraction of online tutoring gigs is that they often pay $15 to $25+ per hour, so you can make very decent money. And all you need is a laptop, webcam, and decent WiFi.

Some popular online tutoring gigs you can apply to include:

  • BookNook: This company pays you to tutor English or Math to students in the United States.
  • Qkids: One of the more popular online ESL tutoring platforms.
  • Studypool: This platform lets you make money as a tutor but also lets you sell notes for cash.

Tutoring platforms often require you to have an undergrad degree or some type of teaching experience, so this is the main downside. However, tutoring is still a great way to make money with your laptop, and it's a great job for retired teachers, current students, and recent grads.

7. Use Microtask Websites

Micro task websites?pay you for completing short online tasks like data entry work, social media moderation, AI training help, and other similar jobs. I used a bunch when I was trying to make money in college. And even though you only make a few bucks per hour usually, you don't need any skills to start.

Three popular micro task sites you can use include:

  • Clickworker: A leading micro task site that pays you with PayPal cash for completing various tasks.
  • Appen: Has a range of part-time jobs and micro task work you can apply for.
  • Amazon MTurk: A popular site from Amazon that pays you with direct deposit or Amazon gift cards.
  • Remotask: Another easy way to make a bit of side money by completing short tasks.

Clickworker

Sites like Appen are best if you're looking for a steady schedule. But you can always apply to a variety of micro task sites and cherry-pick the highest paying gigs going around.

8. Start A YouTube Channel

Now I know what you're thinking: making money on YouTube is impossible, and you have to be an amazing filmmaker to even try.

Well, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, I started my own YouTube channel back in 2020 with a pretty budget Sony camera and cheap USB microphone. It now has over 30,000 subscribers and makes $1,500 per month in advertisement revenue.

my YouTube income
My YouTube income so far for 2023.

In fairness, it takes a while to monetize a YouTube channel since you need 1,000 subscribers and at least 4,000 hours of watch time. But once you achieve this and get a steady stream of organic traffic to your videos, you basically make money on autopilot!

And again, you can film content on a budget camera or even your phone. Then all you need is a decent laptop to edit, render, and upload your videos to run a channel.

People do the same thing by starting podcasts too, or becoming social media influencers. The entire idea is to build an audience by creating value and to then monetize that audience.

9. Play Games For Money

Do you spend time gaming? If so, you can start earning with your laptop by playing video games for money.

In fact, there are numerous paid gaming apps and websites you can use, including:

  • Freecash: A fun way to make money downloading games and apps.
  • MyFreeApp: Another discovery rewards website I love using.
  • Buff: Earn passive rewards for playing leading PC games like League of Legends and Valorant!
  • Gamehag: Enjoy free Steam games, gift cards, and in-game prizes for playing games with Gamehag.
  • Scrambly: One of my favorite discovery rewards platforms that also has games.
  • PlaytestCloud: One of the best ways to find user-testing gigs that pay you for testing new apps and websites.
  • Earnweb: A new rewards website from the same company that runs Gamehag.

You won't earn $1,000 a day or anything even close with these websites. But if you spend time gaming?anyway, you might as well get paid.

???Start earning with Freecash!

10. Launch A Print On Demand Business

Launching an ecommerce store is an amazing business you can try to build real wealth. But many ecommerce businesses involve logistics and in-person fulfillment sometimes, defeating the purpose of just working with your laptop.

However, a print on demand business (POD) is an online business you can run with just a computer. That's because POD companies manufacture and ship your merchandise for you. This means you just have to worry about designing products and marketing your store.

This is a similar business model to dropshipping. But I like it more since you can create your own brand rather than just reselling cheap products from overseas.

I actually tried selling POD products on Etsy back in college. My goal was to make money selling meme mugs, and even though it didn't work, I ran everything from my laptop.

Etsy-items-in-shop
These were the meme mugs I sold!

There are lots of Etsy POD providers you can use, although I used Printify?for my merchandise. The quality was high, and it has a great design tool, so it's perfect for beginners.

Of course, Etsy is just one sales channel as well. You can also upload your designs to websites like Redbubble and Society6 to reach even more customers.

You need some graphic design skills or very clever ideas for POD businesses. But you can manage everything from anywhere in the world with just a laptop!

11. Sell Your Internet Bandwidth

Did you know that you can get paid just by sharing your internet bandwidth with other people?

That's what companies like Honeygain and Pawns do. They let you turn a device like your laptop into a node in their VPN networks. The more bandwidth you share, the more you earn.

Honeygain website

I tested out both of these apps during my time in school and afterwards. And while they won't make you rich, apps like Honeygain and Pawns can run completely on autopilot. So, this is an easy way to turn your laptop into an income stream, all on autopilot.

12. Sell Stuff For Money

Starting a resale business is another idea worth considering. And people do this all the time by flipping things for profit on various online marketplaces like eBay, Poshmark, or the Facebook Marketplace.

Shoes, clothing, collectibles, vintage items, and plenty of other items are popular resale items. And you can buy items at clearance stores or garage sales to then resell online for a profit.

This is basic retail arbitrage. And while it takes some money to get up and running, a resale business can scale into a serious income source.

Tips For Getting Started

Now that you know how to make money with your laptop, here are a few tips you can keep in mind to increase your odds of success!

  1. Play To Your Strengths: I chose freelance writing and blogging because I enjoy writing. Pick some skill or interest of yours, and see if you can apply it to making money online.
  2. Set An Income Goal: Are you looking for beermoney, or a full-time job? Different hustles have different income potential, so pick one that makes sense.
  3. Take Advantage Of Location Independence: My favorite part about earning money with a laptop and remote side gigs is the fact that I can travel. This helps me see new places around the world, but I can also keep costs low by living in certain areas where my dollar goes farther.

Final Thoughts

I hope this guide on how to make money with your laptop inspires you to make the leap and begin earning an online income.

I know from personal experience that it can be freaky to jump ship from an office job and go fully online. But in my experience, I think the freedom and higher income potential is worth the risk.

And who knows, you might find that this sort of laptop nomad lifestyle is what you've been missing and never go back!

FocusGroup.com is a legit market research company that lets you make money with focus groups, paid studies, and online surveys.

But how much money can you make with this site? And does it really pay members?

Our FocusGroup.com review is covering how it works, its earning potential, and testimonials from members to help you decide if it's worth your time.

  • You can also answer surveys for money
  • Cash out with free gift cards after earning just $1
  • Free to sign up for and available if you're 18 or older

Is FocusGroup.com Legit?

FocusGroup.com is legit and lets its members make money by participating in focus groups, remote studies, and by completing online surveys. It has a 4.2 star rating on Trustpilot and over 1,300 reviews, making it one of the more popular focus group companies in the industry.

The parent company of Focus Group is SAGO, formerly known as Schlesinger Group. This research firm was established in 1966. Today, it has 15 offices around the United States and 10 in Europe.

Overall, this is a reputable company and exciting side hustle opportunity. But it's unlikely to be consistent income since you won't always qualify for focus groups and studies.

What Is FocusGroup.com?

FocusGroup.com is a market research platform that promotes online and in-person focus groups. It also lets members earn by answering online surveys or taking part in various studies.

If you've used platforms like User Interviews or Respondent before, FocusGroup.com should feel easy to use and familiar.

Getting started is quite easy and you can sign up with your email. You have to enter some basic information, like where you live and what your job is, and this takes a few minutes. But this is how FocusGroup matches you to the most relevant studies.

Just note that you have to submit photo ID like a passport or driver's license to verify your identity when creating an account. FocusGroup.com doesn't always accept new members from certain areas either.

If you apply and get denied, check out our guide on ways to make money online for free for some easy alternatives.

How Do You Make Money?

There are three main ways to make money once you're a FocusGroup.com member.

1. Interviews & Focus Groups

Taking part in focus groups is the best way to make money. And you can take part in online or in-person focus groups too. Online ones also include Zoom, phone, and webcam sessions.

These opportunities can often pay $50 to $150 per hour or session. However, they're not always available. And focus groups often look for very niche groups of individuals, like people with a certain occupation or medical condition.

The key to finding these opportunities is to check your email every day (and make sure to opt into email marketing). You want to look for emails from SAGO, which is the parent company of Focus Group, for invitations to various interviews and focus groups.

I've been a member of this website for about 3 months now and haven't qualified for any focus groups. Ultimately, this isn't an online job or stable income source, so keep this in mind.

2. Surveys

Answering cash surveys is another earning option. You can find available surveys under the “Surveys” tab once you're logged in.

Surveys all display how many points they pay, a time estimate, and the industry they're for. You can find surveys for topics like automotives, finance, health, entertainment, and similar topics.

Once you complete a survey, the points deposit in your account. However, like other survey platforms, you can get disqualified at the start of a survey or even partway through, which can be frustrating.

One feature I like is that surveys have a conversation bubble icon on them. Clicking on this shows you feedback from other FocusGroup.com members, which is useful for dodging bad surveys.

However, if you just want to answer surveys for money, we suggest sticking with survey-only platforms. Branded Surveys and Survey Junkie are two of our favorites.

?? The Highest Paying Survey Websites.

3. Other Paid Studies

These are the same as the paid surveys. We’re not really sure why there is even a separate tab since it makes the dashboard a bit confusing.

Cashing Out & Reward Options

It takes 100 FocusGroup.com points to equal $1. There's also a low $1 redemption minimum, and you can cash out with free gift cards to companies like:

Unfortunately, there's no option for PayPal transfers or ACH-style deposits. However, the point system is simple and a $1 cash out minimum is quite low. And there's sometimes a physical USD Visa gift card option too, which is basically like getting free cash.

Just note that there have been complaints on the Better Business Bureau website about slow and/or lagging payments for surveys and focus groups. Don’t count on Focus Group to cover you in a pinch with quick money. However, for what it’s worth, we did see (on the BBB website) that Focus Group has responded to many of the complaints in the comments and does put effort into customer service.

?? The Best Apps To Earn Free Gift Cards.

Earning Potential

How much you make with FocusGroup.com largely depends on how many focus groups and studies you qualify for. A single study can pay $100 to $200 or more depending on what's involved. Some months, you'll make $0, while others you might make $50 to $200 or more.

In the first month I was signed up for Focus Group, Sago sent us opportunities for:

  • $300 for an in-person 6-hour interview on social issues ($50 per hour)
  • $350 for an all-day interview about social issues (potentially $35 to $70 per hour)
  • $300 for a web session and a 5-day diary on a certain illness

Like I mentioned, I haven't qualified for any focus groups or interviews in the 3 months I've been a member so far. But this is just the nature of paid focus groups.

But what about the paid surveys? Well, it's all about calculating your hourly rate in this case.

For example: we saw a 12-minute survey for 120 points and a 25-minute survey for 190 points. Surveys fill up quickly. Which one should we take? Isn’t it better to snag 190 points over 120?

As it turns out, the survey paying fewer points has a better “hourly” rate if you do the math ($6 versus $4.56.) So, it pays to be selective with the surveys you complete and to do some quick math.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Free to sign up for
  • Low $1 minimum cash out requirement
  • Offers high-paying online and in-person focus groups
  • Survey rates are also competitive
  • Variety of gift card rewards

Cons:

  • It can take a long time to qualify for a study or focus group
  • You can't redeem points for PayPal money or cash transfers
  • FocusGroup.com isn't always accepting new members
  • Survey disqualification rates can be high

Other Sites Like FocusGroup.com

Since you won't always qualify for studies and focus groups, we recommend using several sites like FocusGroup.com at a time to maximize your earning opportunities.

Some of our favorite FocusGroup.com alternatives include:

PrestoExperts

Of course, you can also try out various get-paid-to sites that offer more consistent earnings. But try out a few of these focus group and survey panels to at least get the ball rolling.

Other FocusGroup.com Reviews

Since I haven't qualified for a study quite yet, I looked up some other FocusGroup.com reviews and testimonials from longtime members.

Here's what some recent reviews have said from TrustPilot, Reddit, and Quora users:

  • Milton Schachter says: “participated in 2 video interviews within 3 weeks of each other. I was promised I would be paid $400 for one of the interviews and $300 for the other. Both wee supposed to be paid within 7-10 business days. It's now 6 weeks later and no payment. When I tried to reach out to them I could not reach anyone.”
  • techclubmaster says: “Another vote for legit. I’ve had some great interviews with them. They pay well and quickly.”
  • emphasisx says: “Legit. Did an in person study and got paid like 3 hours late.”
  • Breezybaby79 says: “It’s legit much better now have earned like 600 dollars last year or a bit a more and this year I have earned 300.”

As you can see, several members are quite happy and report getting paid on time. But one negative Trustpilot reviewer claims they never got paid and couldn't get in touch with customer service.

?? How To Make Money Without A Job.

Who Can Sign Up?

You can sign up for FocusGroup.com if you're 18 or older. However, SAGO isn't looking for new members all the time. You might get put on a waitlist or blocked when signing up depending on where you live and your demographic information.

If signing up doesn't work out, check out our guide on the best international survey sites for more friendly options.

Is There Customer Service?

Yes, Focus Group has customer care. You can email [email protected] or leave a message on their voicemail: 855-244-0886. Focus Group does not provide word about how long their response will take, but Reddit comments indicated 24-hour response times.

Final Thoughts

Our Focus Group review has found the site to be legit. However, there are some considerations. It can be frustrating for some users that they only pay in gift cards. Some members also report that it takes a while to get their paid.

However, this site is one of the top ways to find paid focus group opportunities. And while it might take months for you to qualify for a study, the hourly pay is pretty enticing.

If anything, you can add this site into the mix of your other online side hustles and hope you get lucky eventually!

Clickworker is a legit microtask website that's one of the most popular companies in the industry. It lets people from around the world make extra money in their spare time, all from the comfort of their own home.

But is Clickworker real or fake? And how much money can you actually make with this platform?

I created a worker profile to learn more about how this platform works. And my Clickworker review is also sharing testimonials and reviews from other Clickworker users so you can decide if this website is worth your time.

Looking for other quick money-making ideas? Checkout:

  • Swagbucks: A fun way to earn gift cards and PayPal cash!
  • Branded Surveys: Share your opinion to get cash and gift cards!

Key Takeaways:

  • Clickworker pays you to complete microtasks like data entry and transcription
  • You can sign up for free in dozens of countries
  • Most workers can earn $2 to $7 per hour at most
  • You get paid after earning $10 via PayPal, SEPA or Payoneer

Is Clickworker Legit?

Clickworker is legit and lets you make money online by completing a variety of micro jobs. The platform also has over 3.6 million freelancers from around the world and a 4.3 star rating on Trustpilot, with over 2,800 reviews.

I found the Clickworker site was very easy to use and understand as well. And the fact it accepts freelancers from around the world is a massive selling point.

The main reason people don't like Clickworker is that it can take a while to get paid. So, if you're looking for a same-day pay job, Clickworker isn't the best online side hustle idea out there.

But once clients approve your work, the money appears in your account and you can cash out if you have at least $10. And I like that Clickworker pays you with real money and not just free gift cards.

What Is Clickworker?

Clickworker is an online micro task platform that lets people make money by completing short tasks and for answering surveys. It currently has over 3.6 million freelancers on its platform, who are known as Clickworkers, from all around the world.

Clickworker

For clients, Clickworker provides a team of human workers who can assist with specialized tasks in areas like:

  • Data entry work for machine learning
  • SEO work
  • Image/data categorization and tagging
  • Surveys and web research
  • Transcription
  • Product data maintenance

The platform operates in 45 languages and over 70 countries as well. This makes it a global, flexible way to make money online and a comprehensive solution for businesses looking for human help with online jobs.

In short, Clickworker fills a niche where companies can hire for various small tasks that can be completed online. Whether these jobs take minutes or hours, they find individuals who are a fit and match them with these opportunities.

How Does Clickworker Work?

Getting started with Clickworker is very straightforward. And, the fact the platform is so global is great news if you want an online job that's flexible and pretty much always looking for new freelancers.

In fact, getting started with Clickworker just takes four simple steps:

  1. Sign up
  2. Complete micro tasks
  3. Complete UHRS tasks
  4. Cash out

1. Sign Up

If you want to make money with Clickworker, you sign up under the “Clickworker” section of the website, not the client section.

You can create an account and register online. There's also a free Clickworker app for Android and iOS that you can use.

When you register, you provide information like your country of residence, name, address, and email. You have to verify your phone number as well, so you need a working SMS phone that can accept texts.

Just note that you must be 18 or older to start making money with Clickworker.

Finally, you verify your email to complete registration. Afterwards, you can explore the Clickworker workplace to find open jobs you can complete for some quick cash.

2. Complete Micro Tasks

As a new Clickworker, you spend a bit of time answering some profile questions about your previous work experience. You can also complete short assessments to help Clickwoker understand more of your skills.

From there, you can claim and complete open jobs in the workplace to make extra money.

Examples of common Clickworker jobs you can complete include:

Clickworker-jobs
Examples of jobs you'll find on Clickworker.

Most tasks only pay $0.10 to $0.50 or so, although they only take a couple minutes to complete. And more complex tasks can pay a few dollars depending on what's involved.

Note that according to Clickworker, the “tasks available may vary from Clickworker to Clickworker based on qualification assessments, previous work assessments, education, language abilities, and interests. Depending on your total profile and qualifications you may be offered some projects or may be excluded from others.”

In other words, previous work experience or completing a certain type of task can help you get more job opportunities in that category. Over time, this helps more experienced workers qualify for more gigs and make more money.

3. Complete UHRS Tasks

The main way to make money on Clickworker is to complete open micro tasks you find in the workplace. However, Clickworker also partners with UHRS to offer even more job opportunities.

UHRS stands for?Universal Human Relevance System. They partner with Clickworker to offer opportunities and payment is made via user Clickworker.

While the number of opportunities through Clickworker may be limited, their partnership with UHRS greatly expands the job opportunities for users.

Tasks through UHRS do typically require assessments and require users to qualify. Not all users will be eligible and the qualification tests are typically unpaid.

However, you can make much more money per task with UHRS tasks than regular Clickworker tasks. So, explore UHRS jobs if you really want to maximize your earnings with this side hustle.

Cashing Out With Clickworker & Payment Methods

You get paid to your Clickworker account once the task is approved. Clickworkers are automatically paid during their weekly or bi-weekly payment cycles. Payment is made via PayPal, SEPA or Payoneer.

There's a $10 USD or EURO minimum requirement to get paid, so you might have to wait a week or two for your first payment depending on how much you work. You also have to enter a payment method and your tax information to get paid.

If you have reached the minimum payout amount, you will automatically receive payment as well as an invoice of what was paid out for your completed jobs.

The fact Clickworker pays you with PayPal cash or other payment processors is a plus. Many get-paid-to websites pay in free gift cards, so earning actual cash is a selling point.

How Much Does Clickworker Pay?

How much Clickworker pays depends on the tasks you're completing. Some activities may pay multiple dollars, while others pay just a few cents. Usually, surveys can pay a few dollars while the shorter data-entry type tasks might pay a few pennies or $0.10 to $0.50.

On average, you're probably earning about $5 to $9 per hour depending on your skills, experience, and efficiency.

However, some people report earning $10 to $15+ per hour on Clickworker, although I don't think you should expect this average. And just like with sites like Appen, Lionbridge, Amazon MTurk, and others, working efficiently is very important to earn more money.

As you can see in the Clickworker dashboard below, many tasks pay $0.10 to $0.20, but there's one survey for $3.75 that takes about 20 minutes.

Clickworker Tasks
Examples of some tasks on Clickworker.

Also note that tasks can take a while to get approved. This means it can take a few weeks for money from a task to actually reach your Clickworker account.

Don't fret; this is just how the platform works, and Clickworker's clients need time to verify tasks. If you do a job, you will get paid and can cash out.

In addition to completing tasks on Clickworker, you can also earn referral income. Users can earn $5 for each new Clickworker that they refer to the platform. This new user referral needs to earn at least $10 through Clickworker before this referral bonus is paid.

Is Clickworker Real Or Fake?

Clickworker is a real microtask site that pays its members and isn't fake. It's also one of the largest companies in the industry, with millions of Clickworkers around the world.

However, your hourly earnings might be quite low in the beginning as you get the hang of things. And this?isn't?a full-time job opportunity, so set realistic expectations.

Other Clickworker Reviews

After researching Clickworker and creating an account, I think it's a legit platform and decent way to earn money online if you're a beginner.

However, it's also good to see what other uses have to say to help inform your decisions. Thankfully, there are plenty of Clickworker reviews on forums like Reddit where current and former Clickworker freelancers share their experiences:

  • KardamonLotta says: “I'm signed up and earned approx 100 euros but it's very dry in my opinion and a lot of tasks have been recently broken for me.”
  • Effective_Bobcat7348 says: “I'm new so I don't have a ton of experience, but I was able to make more money quicker than Mturk right off the bat.”
  • axiomskylark says: “Haven't used Clickworker for a couple of years, but when I did work I'd make a couple solid hundred bucks a month. They ask for a lot of info but any normal job would too. They take something like 4-5 weeks to pay your first check, but you do get paid weekly after the fact based on the earnings on that rotation
  • One user says: “I mostly get offers to take videos of myself and upload them. If you’re comfortable with that kind of thing then it’s fine. If you’d rather keep things a little more anonymous then it’s not for you.”

As you can see from these Clickworker reviews, some users report making about $100 a week with the platform. But common complaints include long processing times on your first payment and a lot of personal information requirements when signing up.

This Clickworker review from YouTuber Free To Be also provides an excellent overview of how the platform works and what you can expect in terms of hourly earnings.

In his review, Free To Be explains how he was able to make about $9 in one hour on Clickworker. The survey offers paid the most, and many data and AI tasks paid him about $0.80. His complaint was that again, the money can take up to 30 days to reach your account since clients have to approve your work.

Overall, it seems like Clickworker is a nice, reliable source of beermoney. But it won't make you rich or replace your day job.

Clickworker is a leading micro task site that's ideal if you want a flexible schedule and range of tasks to complete. However, it's always good to have a few sites in your toolkit so you can chase the highest-paying offers.

Final Thoughts

It seems from general consensus on various reviews and forums like Quora and Reddit, that opinions on Clickworker are mixed. Some users are convinced that this microtask website is a scam, and others have had positive experiences on the site.

Those who have made money on Clickworker do seem to agree, that while you can earn income, the pay is overall extremely low. However, it's an easy way to boost your income while working from home.

Personally,? I’m not fully comfortable with the fact that they are based outside the United States, and some of the information they are requesting seems too private.

For example,? I’m not comfortable giving my Social Security number (which is required for U.S. users) and some tasks appear to require additional personal information as well.

Some users report also being asked to share copies of their driver’s license, passports, and even photos of their children, which is a red flag for me.

At the end of the day, Clickworker pays users who complete tasks, and it's one of the most popular micro task sites out there.
