When it comes to making money online, GPT sites are one of the oldest methods in the book. These websites let you complete short online tasks like surveys or micro tasks to earn bits of extra cash.

Personally, I’ve been involved in this space since my college side hustle days when I first started phone farming and blogging.

In fact, I've probably made hundreds if not thousands of dollars from using numerous these sites over the last five years.? So, let's dive into some of the best sites and apps you can use to get started.

The Best GPT Sites

1. Freecash

Freecash is a newer rewards website that offers a variety of earning options and even greater reward variety.

For starters, it lets you make money by playing new games, watching videos, shopping, answering surveys, and more. And, you only need $5 to cash out, which you can earn in a day.

Freecash website

But I like websites like Freecash since it has numerous rewards. Options include PayPal money, dozens of gift cards, crypto, and even free Steam games and in-game skins.

The platform is also fairly global. And it only takes 30 seconds to sign up and begin earning.

Try out Freecash today!

2. Branded Surveys

Branded Surveys is a leading get-paid-to website that's available in the United States, Canada, and the UK.

After you sign up, you find a list of available surveys and their payout rates on your main profile page. Most surveys pay about $0.25 to $1 or $2.

Branded Surveys website

However, what makes Branded Surveys a bit different is its Branded Elite loyalty program.

With this program, you get placed into certain tiers depending on how many surveys and points you earn during the previous month. In short, the more money you make, the more free money you get at the end of the month, ultimately incentivizing you to spend more time on Branded Surveys.

If you’re a serious GPT fan, this loyalty bonus means you can earn some free money at the end of each month for your efforts, so it’s a unique selling point of Branded Surveys that’s worth noting.

3. Kashkick

If you want to make money by answering surveys and playing games, Kashkick is one of the best GPT sites in the United States that you can use.

With Kashkick, you can earn PayPal cash for sharing your opinion and answering short surveys. It also has a pay-to-play gaming section where you can earn money for trying new mobile games.

Kashkick

One thing I like about Kashkick as well is that it has a very high-paying offerwall where you can earn bonuses for trying various products and services.

Surveys and games are still the main way to earn, but overall, Kashkick is a pretty versatile and popular GPT website.

Start earning with Kashkick or read my?Kashkick review.

4. Survey Junkie

When it comes to online surveys, Survey Junkie is one of the most popular platforms around.

The platform is available in North America and Australia. When you sign up, you answer a demographic questionnaire to help Survey Junkie match you to relevant research studies and surveys.

SurveyJunkie

From there, you can begin to answer short or longer surveys for anywhere from $0.25 to a few dollars.

The main appeal of Survey Junkie is that you can cash out with PayPal or a variety of free gift cards once you earn $5. And I like how easy the platform is to use.

Cash Giraffe is one of my favorite Android money games and GPT apps, and it's a must-try app if you're a fan of mobile gaming.

With Cash Giraffe, you earn PayPal cash and various gift cards for downloading and playing new games. And you can cash out via PayPal at only $0.20!

My favorite part about Cash Giraffe is its game variety. Genres include options like action, strategy, puzzle, adventure, and word games. Plus, new games get added all the time.

You won't get rich with Cash Giraffe, but it's a fun phone side hustle if you spend time gaming on your Android.

7. Scrambly.io

One new site in the United States and Canada you can use to earn PayPal cash for free and gift cards is Scrambly.io.

Scrambly lets you make money by answering surveys, playing cash games, and by completing sponsored deals. You can cash out at just $1, and withdrawals are also instant, which is very rare to find.

Scrambly.io

I also like Scrambly since its team picks out paid offers for the community to complete; it doesn't just promote the same generic offers as a lot of reward sites.

My post on the best sites like Scrambly has even more alternatives you can check out as well!

8. Bingo Cash

If you're feeling competitive, one popular GPT app you can use to win money is Bingo Cash.

This iPhone money game lets you compete in cash tournaments of games of Bingo against other players to win cash prizes. Tournaments can pay $75 or even more, so there's lots of money on the table.

Overall, it's one of the more lucrative real money apps in this space. And I like Bingo Cash since it pays you right to your bank account or with PayPal cash if you win.

You have to pay small entry fees into tournaments, so I wouldn't download this app unless you deposit money to compete. But if you enjoy games that pay real money, this could be the app for you.

Try out Bingo Cash today!

Note that cash games aren't available in a few states, including: AZ, IN, IA, LA, ME, SC, MT, WA.

9. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is another leading GPT site, and it has paid out its members millions of dollars since its inception.

I also used Swagbucks a lot during my time in college and earned more than $70. And I like it since it has plenty of ways to earn and also has a nice $5 sign up bonus you can take advantage of.

Swagbucks sign up

On Swagbucks, you can earn SB, the platform’s currency, by:

  • Answering surveys
  • Playing games
  • Completing daily polls
  • Watching videos
  • Shopping online
  • Scanning barcodes and receipts
  • Referring friends

It’s really a mix between a reward app and a GPT site, and even though you can’t replace your job with the site, the versatility is pretty decent. Plus, rewards start at just $1 and include PayPal cash, a variety of free gift cards, and charitable donations.

10. MyFreeApp

MyFreeApp is another fun rewards site that pays you to install apps and fun mobile games.

It's similar to Scrambly and Freecash. And if you live in the United States and are over 18, you can create your account to start earning.

MyFreeApp

There are tons of offers to explore, including ones for iOS and Android. Plus, you can even get paid to shop by trying out different products and services.

Prime Opinion is a newer player in the survey space, and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites.

For starters, you pick your sign up bonus, which can be up to $5. And it also lets you cash out to PayPal or with dozens of gift cards after you earn $5.

This PayPal survey site also lets you earn with leaderboard rewards and its login streak system. And when i tested it, I found survey disqualification rates were low, which I love.

Overall, this is one of the highest paying apps in the gpt space, and the fact that you can cash out so quickly is what makes it belong on this list.

Sign up for Prime Opinion!

13. Mistplay

In the world of apps that pay you to play games, the Mistplay app is undeniably a fan favorite.

With Mistplay, you earn free gift cards for downloading and playing new Android games. If you’re a fan of gaming, this is probably the GPT app I’d try first.

Mistplay app

Plus, the game genre variety on Mistplay is pretty solid, and includes strategy, dice, board, simulator, and card games. You earn points for playing games for more time, unlocking achievements, and leveling up your overall Mistplay account.

The best part is that free gift card rewards start at just $0.50, so you can actually earn something for the time you spend playing. You can also check out similar apps like JustPlay, Rewarded Play, and Money Well if you like the sound of Mistplay.

Checkout Mistplay and make money while gaming!

14. InboxDollars

If you like Swagbucks, another excellent gpt website that's available in the United States you can try is InboxDollars.

This platform lets you earn cash and gift cards in a variety of methods, including surveys, gaming offers, and by watching videos. Plus, there's a free $5 sign up bonus for new members.

InboxDollars

This bonus helps you reach the first cash out requirement of $10 to $15 for most rewards. And the variety of earning options means there's plenty of ways to keep reaching additional cash outs if you put in a bit of time.

If you like this site, you can also check out its sister-website MyPoints for even more earning options.

Sign up for InboxDollars!

15. Pinecone Research

If you want a guaranteed payout of $3 per survey (which is high in this space), Pinecone Research (U.S. only) is absolutely for you.

This invite-only survey website is a fan-favorite in the GPT space since, like I just said, every survey you complete pays you $3.

Pinecone-research

The catch is you have to apply to join and enter a waitlist. Depending on your demographic info, Pinecone Research either accepts you immediately or will notify you via email when you can join the program.

Once you join, you receive email alerts when you qualify for a survey. After completing it successfully, you earn $3. This guarantee payout amount is the main perk of Pinecone Research, and you can cash out with PayPal or gift cards.

Sign up for Pinecone Research!

16. Ipsos iSay

Ipsos iSay is a market research company that has been in business for over 50 years. And these days, it lets you earn PayPal cash and gift cards for answering short surveys online.

Ipsos iSay

I really like Ipsos since it pays you points even when you're disqualified from surveys, which is pretty rare. Plus, you only need 500 points, or $5, to cash out. And some surveys can pay a few dollars, so getting your first rewards doesn't take too long usually.

17. Five Surveys

Five Surveys is yet another new player in the gpt space. And if you want a simple site with easy payouts, it's worth signing up for.

On Five Surveys, you earn $1 for every survey you complete. You then cash out with gift cards or PayPal money after earning $5.

Five Surveys site

Earning $1 per survey is one of the better rates in this space. And I like that you don't have to deal with confusing point systems and can cash out very quickly.

Try out Five Surveys!

18. AttaPoll

If you want to make money with your phone, then AttaPoll is a must-try GPT app.

This free Android and iOS survey app?is free to use and is available in over a dozen countries. And it lets you make money by answering short surveys in your spare time.

AttaPoll

What's nice about AttaPoll is that you can cash out various gift cards after earning $2.50, which doesn't take long. PayPal cash is also available once you earn $3. You can also earn referral bonuses, and overall, AttaPoll is a quick and easy way to earn some free rewards while you're on your phone.

19. YouGov

Like other paid survey sites, YouGov is a popular way to share your opinion to get free money.

The main way to make money with YouGov is to answer surveys. But you can also sign up for YouGov Pulse, a passive data collection app, to earn about $50 per year in free income.

YouGov-Surveys

YouGov lets you cash out for gift cards to companies like Amazon, CVS, and Target once you earn $15 worth of points. This can take a while since surveys aren't unlimited. But YouGov pays pretty well per survey versus most gpt sites.

Sign up for YouGov!

20. Toluna

If you like GPT sites like Swagbucks, then Toluna is another global website to have on your radar.

This website lets you win money by completing tasks like paid surveys, trying new games, and answering daily polls. You can then cash out with PayPal money or dozens of gift cards starting at only $10.

Toluna

What makes Toluna popular is that it's also available in over 70 countries. Plus, it has a mobile app, so you can make money on your phone while you're on the go!

Sign up for Toluna!

21. Prolific

Out of all the GPT companies on this list, Prolific is probably the one with the highest rating and earning potential. On Prolific, you get to take part in research studies with researchers from around the world.

This is different from just answering marketing-based surveys about your consumer preferences; the researchers on Prolific are often interested in hearing from a very specific demographic.

Prolific-website

Prolific requires a minimum hourly rate of at least $6.50, so if you qualify for a study, you’re going to make more than pretty much any other alternative website. Prolific pays through PayPal, and I think it’s worth creating a profile to see if you ever qualify for a study!

22. PrizeRebel

It’s impossible to write a post on the best GPT websites without mentioning PrizeRebel.

PrizeRebel is actually one of the most popular platforms and is very well respected by the Reddit Beermoney community. In fact, the owners of PrizeRebel run regular giveaways and actually interact with their users, so it’s a legit company that also treats users well.

PrizeRebel

Anyway, you earn money by answering online surveys on PrizeRebel, so it’s another useful site if you don’t mind this money-maker.

Redemption minimums start at $5 and rewards include PayPal cash, direct deposit, and free gift cards. I recommend checking out the Beermoney community online and also trying PrizeRebel if you want a global GPT option that’s legit!

23. ySense

One global GPT site that is also a long-term player in the space is ySense.

Unlike many GPT platforms that are restricted to North America and Europe, ySense is a global survey site which is pretty neat.

ySense

It’s one of the lower-paying sites out there, and as usual, don’t expect to make serious cash with any site on this list. However, ySense is versatile, and you can make money by:

  • Completing surveys
  • Downloading apps
  • Signing up for newsletters and paid emails
  • Referring friends

Payout options include PayPal money and various gift cards, and you only need $3 to begin redeeming some of the reward options.

What Are GPT Sites?

Get-paid-to websites, also known as GPT websites, are sites where you can earn small amounts of money for completing short online tasks.

GPT sites let you make money by completing short gigs like:

  • Answering online surveys
  • Downloading apps for money
  • Shopping online to earn cash back
  • Watching videos and advertisements
  • Receiving paid-to-read emails
  • Entering sweepstakes
  • Entering reward codes

Some websites have even more niche offerings, like searching the web to earn money or even clicking on advertisements you see online.

Tips For Making More Money

If you’re still serious about trying this digital side hustle idea to earn some quick cash and gift cards, there’s a few tips I want to share as well.

I've been using these types of websites for years. And here are some of the main tips you can implement to help boost your hourly earnings:

  • Don’t Use A VPN – While it might be tempting to use a VPN to sign up for a GPT website if your country is restricted, this is a surefire way to get banned.
  • Mix It Up – Trying several websites and apps can help you identify the highest-paying opportunities and shuffle between what’s working best for the day.
  • Get On Redditr/Beermoney is a wealth of information where you can find various GPT reviews, ask questions, and learn if specific companies are legit or not.
  • Cash Out Early – As soon as you can redeem a reward, do so. It sometimes pays to hold out for $5, $10, and $20 rewards, but this can be a risk if your account gets banned for some reason and you lose all your earnings.
  • Refer Friends – If your friends also want to make money online, have the sign up with your referral earnings and split the rewards later on.
  • Track Your Hourly Earnings – Monitor how much time you spend answering surveys and completing offerwall tasks so you know if GPT sites are worth your time.
  • Turn Off Adblockers – This is another way to mess up how a website functions or even get banned, so turn off your adblock extension if you’re running one.

Final Thoughts

I hope my list of the best GPT sites and apps helps you decide which platforms are right for you. Ultimately, you can use these websites to make some extra cash or earn free gift cards in your spare time.

I’ve been involved in this space since my days in college, and it's a great way to make money online as a beginner.

Did any get-paid-to website ever make me rich or change my life? Absolutely not.

However, you can get into a rhythm and learn what works in your country. With some practice, I think the world of GPT sites has about $25 to $200 per month in earning potential.

Clickworker

Popular jobs on Clickworker include data categorization, proofreading, editing, answering questions for money, app testing, and content moderation.

Out of all microtask platforms, websites like Clickworker are one of the most popular and sort of set a standard for what you should look for!

2. Freecash

Freecash is a new platform I've been testing out. And it's one of the more fun options on this list due to the variety of earning options.

Swagbucks sign up

I like Swagbucks since it has numerous ways to earn, including answering surveys, downloading apps, shopping online, and?playing games for money.

5. Branded Surveys

Branded Surveys is a leading survey site with millions of members, and you can sign up for free if you live in the United States, Canada, or the UK.

I've been using Branded Surveys for the past few months. And I like how easy it is to use and the fact that it pays competitive rates for its surveys.

Branded Surveys website

Once you create your profile, Branded Surveys pays you for answering short surveys. Most surveys pay $0.50 to a few dollars, and you can cash out through PayPal or for free gift cards once you earn at least $5.

What I like about Branded Surveys is that it also has a program called Branded Elite. This pays you with bonus cash every month if you complete enough surveys, making it higher-paying for consistent members.

Start earning with Branded Surveys!

6. Amazon MTurk

Amazon Mechanical Turk, or MTurk, is another way to earn some extra money whenever you're in front of your computer.

Jobs on MTurk are similar to Clickworker. The MTurk marketplace is full of tasks including identifying objects in videos, data deduplication, transcription work, and search engine evaluation.

amazon-mturk

MTurk jobs are known as ‘hits,' which stands for ‘Human Intelligence Tasks,' and the premise behind Amazon MTurk is to have workers help solve problems that AI isn't capable of figuring out.

Using systems like MTurk HIT catcher is a great way to increase how much money you make with sites like MTurk, although some people treat this micro job a lot more seriously than simple beermoney.

According to this this Reddit thread, some Amazon MTurk workers have made more than $50,000 from the platform. While this isn't typical, it does show there's plenty of opportunity if you put in the time.

7. Microworkers

Microworkers is a microtask site that currently has more than 1.4 million workers who have completed more than 42 million tasks.

Popular jobs on Microworkers include categorization, completing surveys, data mining/entry, and ads monitoring on social media platforms like Facebook.

microworkers

You get assigned a star rating as you complete tasks, and higher ratings will allow you to access a wider array of jobs.

Microworker pays out through Dwolla, PayPal, and Transpay, but you must earn at least $9 before cashing out. Payments are sent twice a week.

8. Kashkick

Kashkick?is another site I've been testing for the last few months to make money. And it's one of the highest-paying options if you live in the United States.

On Kashkick, you make money by completing various micro jobs like online surveys, playing games, and downloading apps. It's free to sign up?if you're 18 or older.

Kashkick

Surveys are the main way to make money, but there's also a lucrative download section where you can earn $5 to $50 for trying different apps and services. Kashkick pays you with free PayPal money, and you can cash out once you earn $10.

Read our Kashkick review for all the details!

9. CrowdTap

If you think you should get paid for your opinion, Crowdtap is another platform you should check out.

Crowdtap presents users with questions every day, and you can gradually earn points for sharing your opinion. You can redeem points for various rewards like gift cards to Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other major brands.

CrowdTap

Most $5 gift cards require 1,000 Crowdtap points to cashout, and trust me, it will take a bit of time to get there. However, if you want to earn free gift cards over time by taking a few seconds to share your thoughts, this is a great option to turn to.

Try out Crowdtap!

10. Appen

I've mentioned Appen before on WebMonkey, and it's by far one of the highest-paying sites in this niche.

Appen jobs are pretty similar to other crowdsource-based platforms. However, on Appen, you apply to a specific category of work, which includes rating jobs, language based jobs, or micro tasks.

appen-jobs

Appen is legit, and has plenty of strong reviews on websites like Indeed. The pay range is also above traditional micro work, and some Appen jobs pay as high as $14/hour. However, Appen is considered beermoney for most people because it can be hard to fill a 40 hour week with this platform.

Payments are made via PayPal or Payoneer. You can check out our post on other sites like Appen for more ideas to make extra cash!

11. Survey Junkie

A long time player in the paid survey game, Survey Junkie is another option to make money with surveys.

Survey Junkie lets you cash out at just $5, so this is at least one of the more legitimate platforms around. And I've also used it since college to make some extra cash on the side.

SurveyJunkie

Signing up for Survey Junkie is free, and the site is completely geared towards surveys unlike many other GPT websites.

Points are redeemable for a variety of popular gift cards or PayPal cash, and the platform is open to members from Canada, Australia, and the United States.

12. Lionbridge

Lionbridge is another microtask website that's similar to Appen and offers the same sort of micro task marketplace for people to make extra money.

If you want to try search engine evaluation, website testing, quality rating, or getting paid to type and have had difficulty getting into Appen, Lionbridge is a solid alternative.

lionbridge

Just note, it is technically against TOS to work for Appen and Lionbridge simultaneously. You can sort of get away with it, but it seems fairly random in terms of who is allowed to skirt the rules.

Pay rates range from $8-$14 per hour depending on the job you're working on, but hours are also volatile as with Appen.

13. Remotasks

Remotasks is a newer entrant to the world of micro jobs, and it also pays less on average than companies like Appen or Lionbridge.

However, if you can't make it into other platforms but want to make some extra beermoney, Remotasks might help hold you over until you can find better work.

remotasks-work-online

Popular jobs on Remotasks include image annotation, data collection, identifying spam, transcription, and moderating content.

Payments are made via PayPal, but you will probably earn under $10/hour on this platform so keep that in mind. And if you're looking for websites like Remotasks, your best bet is probably Clickworker, Appen, or Amazon MTurk.

Extra Reading – Is Remotasks Legit?

14. iSoftStone

If you're looking for a global opportunity to earn some beermoney, iSoftStone is a great option to consider besides companies like Appen or Lionbridge.

iSoftStone

iSoftStone is currently hiring for these micro jobs:

  • Ad evaluators
  • Linguists
  • Transcribers
  • Speech data collection

iSoftStone also recruits people from around the world.?Pay ranges from $8-$11 per hour and you are able to set your own hours. Bonuses are rarely paid out as well for consistent, high quality work. iSoftStone payments are made via PayPal.

15. JumpTask

JumpTask is a new crypto-based rewards platform I've been testing out. And it's an excellent option if you want to earn $JMPT, a unique crypto token by completing different micro jobs.

With JumpTask, you can make money with a variety of offers, including surveys, downloading apps, and playing games. It also lets you make money by sharing your bandwidth with its partner Honeygain.

JumpTask

JumpTask is also building out its microtask options right now, so more ways to earn are on the way. And I like that it pays you with crypto that you can then go and stake to earn even more.

Try out JumpTask!

16. Zeerk

Zeerk brands itself as a micro job and freelance portal where you can offer or browse gigs ranging from $3 to $200.

In other words, Zeerk is an alternative to Fiverr that focuses on micro tasks. This is the platform where people buy likes, followers, upvotes, social media accounts, and other semi-questionable online transactions.

zeerk-marketplace

If you've ever tried to make money on Fiverr with these sorts of offerings but find the marketplace is saturated, Zeerk might be less competitive.

I've tried finding freelance writing gigs on Zeerk in the past. And while I prefer other online job boards, it's still a decent place to find gigs.

17. Premise Data

If you want to try a micro task app to make extra money on the side, Premise Data is for you.

Premise Data uses crowdsourced data to help its clients get the data it needs to make informed decisions. So, as a Premise Data contributor, you can make money in your spare time by completing various odd jobs in your? city and sharing your insights.

Premise-Data-contributor

With the Premise Data app, you can get paid for completing tasks like:

  • Answering paid surveys
  • Sharing your opinion
  • Taking photos of things in your city
  • Completing short tasks

Tasks can also include gigs like taking a photo of a nearby pizza place, or verifying what brands of cereal a supermarket sells. You get paid with PayPal cash, Payoneer, or even with Bitcoin, so it's also a versatile micro task app.

I also suggest checking out Field Agent, TaskRabbit, and GigWalk if you like Premise.

18. ySense

ySense is a weird mixture between a survey site and a micro task marketplace.

On ySense, users can make money through surveys, download offers, watching videos and ads, or by completing jobs like the ones posted on Figure Eight.

ySense

ySense was formerly known as Clixsense, another popular GPT website, and the platform is under the parent company Prodege, who operate sites like InboxDollars and Swagbucks.

Users can cash out with dozens of gift card options or through PayPal, and the lowest rewards are $3. ySense is also available in dozens of countries.

19. UserTesting

UserTesting, like TryMyUI, is another micro job website that pays testers $10 for completing a website or app testing session.

Testers are required to record their thoughts/screen as they navigate a testing environment, but most sessions take 10-20 minutes. Rarely, testers may qualify for a live test session with a client, which pays up to $60.

usertest

User Testing is fairly global, and payments are made 7 days after a testing session via PayPal.

Ultimately, websites like UserTesting are a good fit if you have attention to detail and don't mind quality assurance work. You can also try PlaytestCloud and Userlytics if you like this idea.

20. Fancy Hands

I mention Fancy Hands in my post on gig economy apps. It's one of the most popular platforms out there for finding work as a virtual assistant.

Popular virtual assistant tasks on Fancy Hands include making phone calls on someone's behalf, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements, and data entry.

fancy-hands

Fancy Hand tasks pay $3 to $7 to start, but you can earn more as you work with the same client or if you are promoted to a managerial position and manage other virtual assistants.

Being a virtual assistant is probably one of the higher paying phone jobs possible. And you can also scale your income higher than a lot of these websites if you find the right businesses to work for.

21. Respondent

Respondent.io offers a variety of surveys and research panels, with an average hourly pay of $140 according to their website.

Many surveys are just 10-30 minutes long, but even so, Respondent is undoubtedly one of the higher paying micro jobs around.

respondent

Getting started with Respondent is easy. Simply make a profile, fill in some basic demographic information, and get matched to research studies. If you live in a major city, you should find numerous paid gigs.

Note, based on what researchers are studying, you may not qualify for every survey. This fact makes Respondent a nice micro job website to find occasional, high paying work. However, I wouldn't rely on this site for steady work.

How Do Microtask Sites Work?

Like the name suggests, Microtask websites pay you for completing short online tasks in your spare time. Examples of common tasks you might encounter include:

  • Captioning videos
  • Data entry
  • Testing apps and websites
  • Helping with machine learning tasks
  • Monitoring social media
  • Search engine evaluation
  • Quality rating gigs
  • Business listing verification
Clickworker-jobs
Examples of jobs you'll find on websites like Clickworker.

As you can see, it's quite a diverse space, and some of the leading microtask sites like Clickworker and others let thousands of people make extra cash on the side.

Pros & Cons

Microtask Pros:

  • Low barrier to entry
  • Wide variety of jobs
  • Can earn real cash
  • Numerous companies to work for
  • Global income opportunities

Microtask Cons:

  • Low hourly earning potential for many websites
  • Jobs can get dull after a while
  • Doesn't really advance your career in a meaningful way

Who Should Use Microtask Websites?

If you want an easy way to make money from home in your spare time and don't want to look for a remote job that requires a lot of work experience, microtask sites are for you. But, don't expect to earn thousands of dollars per month with microtask websites.

In my experience, you can even earn a few hundred dollars per month with this type of side hustle, but don't expect to quit your day job by using these types of websites.

Final Thoughts

At the end of the day, you can always turn to the power of the internet if you are in need of some quick cash.

Personally, I don't recommend using micro jobs as a way to sustain yourself. I also don't recommend these platforms for a long-term solution unless your only goal is to make some beermoney every month.

If you're genuinely looking to make some significant money online, you can consider a variety of legit online jobs that pay higher hourly wages or other side hustles within the gig economy.

3. Current

While high-yield savings accounts might seem boring, they're one of the most common ways to earn passive income without lifting a finger.

And, out of all the high-yield savings accounts out there, one of my favorites right now is Current, a new digital financial tech company.

Current Bank

With Current, you earn 4% APY on up to $6,000 of savings. This makes it a popular place to park an emergency fund or a bit of idle cash so it earns something.

And I like Current since right now, new members can take advantage of a $50 sign up bonus with a qualifying direct deposit. Plus, Current helps you build your credit and even get paid up to two days faster.

The company doesn't have a minimum balance requirement or fees either. Overall, it's an excellent platform to build your savings and credit together.

Swagbucks sign up

For starters, Swagbucks has a lot of ways you can earn including answering paid surveys, shopping online, and playing games.

And, Swagbucks also lets you watch ads and videos to earn small amounts of points through its Swagbucks Watch feature. I've used this feature ever since I was phone farming in college, and it's let me cash out plenty of gift cards over the years.

5. Pawns.app

Another passive income app you can use to get PayPal cash and Bitcoin is Pawns.app.

This rewards app and website lets you sell your unused internet bandwidth for cash. You earn $0.20 per gigabyte of data you share, and you can cash out once you earn $5.

Pawns.app

According to Pawns, members make $5 to $140 dollars per month on average. How much you earn really depends on how much bandwidth you share and where you live.

But what I like about Pawns is that you can also answer surveys for cash. So, if you're close to cashing out, you can complete a few surveys to reach the $5 minimum.

If you spend time playing games on your Android phone, one fun passive income app you can try is Mistplay.

7. Mobile Performance Meter

I included Embee Meter CX, known as Mobile Performance Meter, in my phone farming guide, and it truly is one of the most consistent earners around.

Mobile Performance Meter runs in the background of your phone and collects data on phone connectivity to wireless networks. In return, users can earn between $0.10-$0.30/day.

This Android app is more specific as to what devices are accepted into the program, although I currently have 2 Moto G phones running the application and each device earns $0.1/day.

The payout threshold begins at $5 and is exclusively done through PayPal. As you can see from the screenshot above, this app also pays and is legit.

The app always pays me on time, so I know it's completely legit. It isn’t a lot of money, but this is a simple passive income app that can earn $5-$10/month without any work!

8. Fundrise

If you want to invest in real estate, Fundrise is definitely worth trying out. This real estate investing platform lets you invest in income-generating real estate with only $10.

Fundrise pools money together from numerous investors to purchase real estate properties. Usually, these properties are multi-family homes or commercial real estate that generate income from rental payments.

invest-with-fundrise

With a $10 minimum, Fundrise makes it very easy to diversify your portfolio with real estate. And the platform often has a $10 sign up bonus for new customers as well.

Plus, Fundrise has historically returned around 8% annually. You pay 1% annually in management fees which is pretty standard for the world of real estate.

This isn't the most traditional passive income app out there. But if you're curious about real estate investing, definitely Check out Fundrise!

Disclaimer: This is an endorsement in partnership with Fundrise. We earn a commission from partner links. All opinions are my own.

9. Worthy Bonds

Bonds are a popular fixed-income investing strategy people use to earn money on autopilot. And the great news is you can now easily earn 7% APY with the Worthy Bonds app.

This investing platform lets you buy bonds starting at only $10. It pays 7% APY for a limited time, and interest compounds daily.

Worthy Bonds

The best part? There aren't any platform fees or maintenance fees. Plus, Worthy Bonds doesn't charge penalty fees if you want to sell your bonds early.

10. MobileXpression

I’ve covered MobileXpression in my phone farming guide, and it is one of my favorite passive income apps. It works the same way as Embee Meter and rewards you for selling your data.

MobileXpression doesn't accept every smartphone into the service. If you're eligible, MobileXpression is a great way to earn another $5/month without any work.

MobileXpression

Brand new users of MobileXpression will also receive a $5 Amazon gift card after 1 week of running the app in the background of their smartphone. Points can be redeemed for Amazon, Starbucks, or Best Buy gift cards.

I've been using MobileXpression to earn passive income for more than a year, and I redeem a Starbucks or Best Buy gift card every month and a half.

Try out MobileXpression!

11. Survey Websites

Survey sites are an easy method to make money online. And a lot of the top sites have options to earn passively, like video reward portals, shopping extensions, and more.

Some of my all-time favorite survey platforms you can check out include:

Branded Surveys website

Answering surveys is a nice active way to earn. And many of these sites have passive earning options that you can use by setting up an old laptop or using your main computer or phone.

12. HealthyWage

I’ve covered HealthyWage before in my list of fitness apps that pay. And this app is awesome because it pays people up to $10,000 to lose weight.

That's right: with HealthyWage, you place a bet on yourself to reach a certain weight loss goal. If you reach that goal in time, you get your wager back plus a cash prize for your efforts.

Once you make your wager, it's a fun way to start earning some passive income and to make money by walking and working out. Plus, there's some serious cash on the line, and even team games you can join too.

And you can try similar apps like Sweatcoin, CashWalk and WeWard to earn even more while you get your sweat on.

13. Mode Earn

Mode Earn is one of the newer Android apps in this space and lets you make money by listening to music. And you can also make money by completing easy tasks like online surveys, playing games, watching videos, and more.

The app used to be called Current Rewards. But even with its rebrand, it's a fun way to earn money while exploring new radio stations.

Mode Earn

For rewards, PayPal cash starts at only $1. You can also redeem tons of gift cards at $5 to companies like Amazon, Target, Walmart, Google Play credit, Starbucks, and free Steam codes.

14. Acorns

Another leading passive income app that's great for young adults is Acorns, a leading micro-investing app.

With Acorns, you can round-up your spare change from daily purchases and invest that money into a variety of ETFs and funds that match your investing goals and risk tolerance. This helps you grow wealth over time, and it's a nifty way to make money by doing nothing.

Acorns-app

I like Acorns since it has a variety of portfolios to choose from, so there's something for everyone.

Plus, it has other passive earning methods, like a browser extension and cash-back rewards platform. And there's often a sign up bonus for new members as well.

15. Pogo

One newer app that pays you to shop is Pogo, a free Android and iOS app that's available in the United States.

With Pogo, you earn tiny amounts of PayPal money for sharing your purchasing data. All you do is download Pogo, securely connect your bank account to the app, and then automatically earn points for every transaction.

Pogo app

Typically, Pogo only pays around $0.02 to $0.05 worth of points per transaction. However, the process is completely passive, and you don't need to manually scan receipts or enter transactions to earn.

And I like Pogo since you can cash out at just 3,000 points, which is worth $3. And reward options include Venmo and PayPal so you're getting real money.

Start Earning With Pogo!

16. Neighbor

Do you have unused storage space at your house? If so, one of the highest paying apps in this category you can use is Neighbor.

Neighbor is essentially the Airbnb of storage space. It lets you rent out unused space on your property to people in your city in exchange for monthly payments.

Become-Neighbor-Host

What I like about Neighbor is that it lets you rent out a variety of spaces, including attics, basements, driveways, garages, and spare rooms.

You get to set the monthly rental rate and rules for when renters can come by to pick up their things. And Neighbor provides comprehensive insurance to protect everyone.

17. Investing Apps

These days, pretty much every broker has a mobile app. And there are plenty of standalone investing apps you can use to begin earning passive income:

Stash app

These apps are all commission-free ways to start investing1, so you can explore a range of stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, CDs, and more. Just make sure you speak to a financial professional if you have questions or need advice.

18. Honeygain

If you want to make money selling your internet bandwidth, then Honeygain is another app worth considering.

Honeygain turns your phone into a node in a VPN network, letting Honeygain's clients use your IP address from wherever they are in the world.

In exchange for selling your bandwidth, Honeygain pays you bits of honey. Once you sell 200GB of bandwidth, you can cash out with $20 of PayPal cash. And it's a great way to make money while you sleep with a spare device.

If you like Dosh and have an iPhone, we also suggest checking out the Caden app and Gener8 for even more earning potential.

20. Rakuten

Another popular passive income site you can use is Rakuten, a leading cash back extension and website.

On Rakuten, you earn cash back for shopping through its platform at partnered merchants. Rakuten partners with some of the largest retailers and ecommerce platforms, including Amazon, Walmart, Macy's, and thousands of other stores.

To date, I've earned $1,200 from using Rakuten and referring some friends:

My total Rakuten earnings.

From there, Rakuten pays you your cash back quarterly via check or PayPal. And it partners with thousands of companies, with cash back rates often ranging from 2% to 10% or even more.

And right now, new members can get a $30 sign up bonus if they sign up for Rakuten and spend at least $30 on a qualifying shopping offer.

If you regularly shop online from your phone, then Drop belongs on your phone.

This is also a reward app that I've been using for years, and it's an excellent way to earn free gift cards for shopping at your favorite brands.

Drop reward app

There are plenty of stores where you can earn cash back. You usually earn 0.5-1.5% cash back in the form of Drop Points for your purchases. These points can then be redeemed for gift cards to stores like Starbucks, Amazon, and more.

Sign up for Drop today and earn $5!

22. S'Mores Lockscreen

I’ve mentioned S'mores in my post on lockscreen apps that pay, and it’s truly the best passive income app in that entire category.

S'mores is an Android-based app that changes the lockscreen of your smartphone to display an ad in the background. You can completely ignore the ad and unlock your phone as you normally would, so users aren’t forced to click anything.

Smore-lockscreen-app

S'mores pays U.S. users $0.10/day for unlocking their phone, and points can be cashed out for Amazon gift cards once you reach $1.

How Do Passive Income Apps Work?

Generally, passive income apps pay you for your data or for completing some kind of task or offer. The three main categories of apps are:

  • Data collection apps: Get paid for sharing your data with marketing companies.
  • Cashback apps: Earn cashback automatically when you shop at various stores.
  • Video reward & lockscreen apps: Get paid for watching videos and ads.

Tips For Using These Apps

I wanted to end this post with a final few pieces of advice you should keep in mind. This is especially true when using apps that pay you for data collection since you need to know what you're giving up in exchange for rewards:

  • Don't Use A VPN: These companies detect VPN usage and will ban you quickly!
  • Use A Burner Phone: I rarely use data collection apps or other apps on my main phone since they can drain the battery overtime and I don't want my phone running 24/7.
  • Have Realistic Expectations: None of these apps or websites will ever let you pay your rent or quit your day job, but they are a fun source of extra cash and gift cards.
  • Test & Keep Testing: New apps spring up all the time, and different companies work better in certain countries than others, so keep on trying new ideas!

Frequently Asked Questions

What's The Best Passive Income Android App?

In my opinion, Mobile Performance Meter and the Nielsen Mobile Panel are the two best Android passive income apps.

What Are The Highest Paying Passive Income Apps?

In my experience, the highest paying passive income apps are Mobile Performance Meter and CashMagnet. I've easily earned over $200 between these apps, and if you're just starting out, I think they are the best apps that pay you to install them.

You can also use investing apps like Arrived, Dosh, and Acorns. And this option is the perfect way to begin building wealth for the future.

Final Thoughts

I hope this list of the best passive income apps and websites helps you make quick money without having to lift a finger.

None of these apps are going to make you rich overnight. But I think they're a fun side hustle idea you can test out without much effort. Even if it's earning $20 a month by watching videos with Swagbucks or using a variety of data collection apps, every little bit counts.

This real money game?lets you buy-in to competitive tournaments. And with prize pools often ranging from $5 to $50 or even more, it can be quite high-paying if you win.

Pool Payday Game

Since you have to buy-in to paid games, it's not the best app if you want to earn money online without paying. But for competitive gamers, a few wins in a row could mean a fast $200 in your pocket if you get on a streak.

I also like Pool Payday since it pays you with real money to your bank account or via PayPal. And payments don't take long to process. Just note that cash games aren't available in a few states, including AR, CT, DE, IN, LA, ME, and SD.

Try out Pool Payday!

Steady gig app

Once you sign up for this free side hustle app, you explore a list of money-making gigs in your area.

A lot of the gigs are popular ones like driving for DoorDash or Amazon Flex. But you can also find part-time jobs, cash gigs, and lucrative sign up bonuses from different companies.

23. 1Q

It's impossible to write a post on apps that pay you instantly without mentioning 1Q. And that's because it's a simple survey app that's known for its instant PayPal payments.

With 1Q, you get a push notification when you’re eligible to take a quick survey. Surveys pay $0.25 per completion, and you can cash out instantly for PayPal money or a charitable donation.

1Q

While this survey rate is low, 1Q usually has more available surveys than other traditional survey apps. Plus, the push notifications make it a no-brainer to just keep in the background of your phone and take surveys as they become available.

Even if you complete an average of 1 easy survey per day, that’s still a free meal every few months. And it's a super simple way to make money online for free without needing any skills.

24. Field Agent

Field Agent is a side hustle app for Android and iOS that lets everyday shoppers earn money by taking photos, videos, surveys, and providing other retail information to help popular brands understand their consumers.

As a Field Agent, you earn money with this app by completing odd jobs outside of your house. For example, you might get paid to take a photo of a store or store display. Or, you might get paid to confirm the price of something or rate the overall shopping experience of a particular retailer.

Field-Agent-App

Jobs generally pay $4 to $12, but pay varies depending on how long a task takes. Some users that hustle with Field Agent can make a few hundred per year with this app, making it one of the more lucrative instant paying apps out there.

And Field Agent is a legit app that pays instantly. All you have to do is connect a bank account of bank transfers, and there's thousands of positive app reviews and payment proof online.

The app is similar to high paying apps like Gigwalk and Premise, so you can check out these mystery-shopping apps for even more opportunities.

25. QuickRewards

QuickRewards is one of the best apps that pay you real money instantly because they have a minimum payout of $0.01! In other words, you can cash out right after your first task.

QuickRewards

And like apps like Qmee, Quick Rewards offers a few ways to make money on its platform. For example, you can make money with online surveys, gaming offers, shopping online, and by watching videos.

The company has paid out over $7 million to their users since the app was founded and have been a legit rewards app for over 20 years.

Their most popular way for you to make money is by watching ads, so if you prefer to make money on autopilot, you can use QuickRewards.

Tips For Using These Apps

After using instant payout apps for several years, I've found that most of them don't pay much and aren't worth your time. However, you can maximize your earnings if you use a few tips and tricks:

  1. Leverage Sign-Up Bonuses: GPT apps and sites often have small sign-up bonuses, so take advantage of these to get paid even faster. Our post on $25 sign-up bonuses and sign up bonus apps are great resources for finding some offers.
  2. Try Multiple Apps: The earning potential for instant paying apps often goes down over time, so it's good to try a few apps to cherry pick the best offers.
  3. Try Other Side Hustles: Apps that pay real money instantly are useful for making a bit of money on the side. But the earning potential is low for this side hustle, so keep this in mind.

Instant paying apps are fun and easy. But side hustles like gig economy jobs or freelancing pay?way?more. And some gigs can pay the same day or instantly as well. For example, both DoorDash and Uber Eats let you cash out daily earnings for a small fee, and your hourly pay is higher than these money-making apps.

Final Thoughts

Hopefully you can utilize these apps that pay you instantly to start a new, fun side hustle.

And like I said, remember that you can combine all or most of these apps at the same time. For example, if every app makes you $0.25 per day on average, having 8 of these apps in rotation will make you $2 per day.

Are there better ways to make money online? Of course.

Using a gig economy app like DoorDash or Instacart will make you significantly more than these survey and gaming apps. However, getting to cash out instantly is a luxury of very few platforms, so take advantage of them when you can!

Freecash is a popular rewards website that lets you make money in?so?many ways, including paid to play offers, online surveys, shopping online, and installing apps.

Some of the gaming offers are particularly high-paying. In fact, you can often earn $10 to $100+ by discovering new games and reaching certain levels in them.

Freecash website

As for rewards, you have plenty of options. PayPal money, dozens of gift cards, crypto, and even video game skins are on the table. And Freecash constantly adds new offers so there's always something new to try.

2. Bingo Cash

Do you enjoy playing Bingo and have an iPhone or Samsung? If the answer is yes, then Bingo Cash is a must-try app.

This cash gaming app lets you compete in Bingo games against players from around the world. The game hosts tournaments, and players with the highest scores and the most Bingo calls during a game win.

Bingo Cash app

What's nice about Bingo Cash is that prize pools can range from $20 to $50 or even more. So, this is one of the more lucrative apps that pays you for playing games out there.

However, you have to pay small entry fees to compete in tournaments, so keep this in mind. This is the same format apps like Bubble Cash use as well. But if you like some competition and feel confident in your Bingo skills, then this iPhone game for money could be worth trying.

Just note that cash games aren't available in the following states: AZ, IN, IA, LA, ME, SC, MT, WA.

3. Cash Giraffe

If you have an Android device, one of the most effective way to play games for money is to use Cash Giraffe.

This free app is one of my personal favorites at the moment and lets you earn PayPal cash and gift cards for trying different games.

Cash Giraffe app

My favorite thing about Cash Giraffe is that you only need $0.20 to cash out. So, you can download a few games, make money in one hour, and likely cash out your earnings.

This is pretty uncommon for the world of get paid to play games. And Cash Giraffe adds new games pretty often to keep things interesting.

Download Cash Giraffe or read my Cash Giraffe review for all the details!

4. Kashkick

Another easy way to get paid to play games is to use Kashkick, a popular gpt website in the United States.

With Kashkick, you can earn PayPal cash for completing surveys. But the platform also has a gaming rewards section that pays you for downloading and playing new mobile games, just like Drop and Mistplay.

Kashkick

Surveys are the main way to earn money with Kashkick. But what I like about the gaming section is that some of the offers pay out $5 to $10+ when you complete them.

This makes it one of the higher-paying apps that pays you to play games on the list. Although it might take a few days of gaming to actually complete an offer.

You can cash out with PayPal once you earn at least $10. But if you want a gaming and survey site hybrid, Kashkick is worth checking out.

We've all played Solitaire games on our computers in the past to pass the time. But did you know you can also get paid to play games of Solitaire on your phone?

That's right: with the Solitaire Cash app, you can earn money by competing in games of Solitaire against other players.

Players face off against one another in tournaments and have matching decks, so it's a game of speed and accuracy. The players with the highest scores at the end of the match then earn a share of the prize pool.

Games can pay anywhere from a few dollars to $55 or even more. And I like that Solitaire Cube pays you with cash and not sweepstake entries or gift cards.

However, I'd only download this app if you want to deposit money to compete. That's because it's super hard to earn with this app unless you compete in the cash tournaments.

Start making money with Solitaire Cash!

Note that cash games aren't available in AR, CT, DE, IN, LA, ME, and SD.

6. Blitz Win Cash

Blitz Win Cash is an iOS that's over 10 game apps in one. And it's a fun app to win real money while putting your skills to the test.

Tournaments can pay anywhere from several dollars to $45+ to winners. Blitz Win Cash then pays you through PayPal, so it's actual cash.

Again, tournaments cost a dollar or two to enter. But this is one of my favorite paid to play games due to the variety it offers.

Try out Blitz Win Cash!

7. Super.com

Super.com isn't exactly a pay to play gaming app. However, it's a?super?versatile platform that can help you earn and save more money while having some fun.

For starters, Super.com lets members earn by playing fun games and answering cash surveys. So, there's a bit of a gpt site element to it.

However, Super.com has?tons?of other features. For example, you can qualify for a cash advance of up to $250 to help make ends meet. And the platform has tons of cash-back deals and coupons too.

It's really an all-in-one money app that can “supercharge” your finances. And the gaming and survey component should feel pretty familiar.

Just note that you need a Super+ membership to unlock cash advances and its earning features. This costs $15 per month, but when you consider the fee-free cash advances and range of games, it's a reasonable price.

Bubble Cash app

Just note that tournament games have small buy-in fees, so we only suggest downloading this app if you deposit money to compete.

Mistplay is one of the most popular app to play games for money, and this Android app is definitely taking over this category.

The concept behind Mistplay is simple: earn points for playing games and leveling up your Mistplay account and redeem points for a variety of free gift cards.

There's a decent mix of games, including genres like strategy, card games, simulation games, survival games, and puzzles.? Gift card reward variety is also decent and includes Amazon, Best Buy, prepaid Visa cards, and free Google Play credit.

It's your classic Match 3 game. And as you complete challenging levels, you slowly earn points and can cash out to PayPal after you earn $7.

Lucky Match app

Lucky Match? gives away thousands of dollars to its players every day and month. And while you need to complete a couple dozen levels to cash out, it's the perfect game to try if you want to complete challenging puzzles while passing the time.

26. Skillz Games

One final category of paid to play apps are apps in the Skillz ecosystem.

Skillz is a gaming platform that has a variety of games you can download and play for real cash prizes.

Skillz-games

Some of the most popular Skillz games include:

Personally, I don't prefer apps like Mistplay that don't require paying for games. But if you want a more competitive platform, you can consider looking into Skillz.

If you've been following WebMonkey for a while, you know that I absolutely love the world of beermoney.

Beermoney, which is often associated with the r/beermoney or Reddit Beermoney group of over 400,000 users, refers to making bits of extra cash in your spare time.

Of course, you don't have to spend your extra cash on beverages; but the idea is to make some nice side cash you can use to improve your finances.

Now, after testing out hundreds of beermoney sites and apps over the years, I've decided to break down some of my all-time favorites.

The Best Beermoney Sites & Apps

I've been making money with beermoney apps and sites from r/beermoney ever since college. And over the years, I've found the ones that pay and the ones that are a waste of time. So, if you're looking for some high paying apps and sites, let's get right to it!

1. Branded Surveys

Another leading beermoney site is Branded Surveys, a market research website that lets you get paid for your opinion.

It's free to sign up, and once you complete your profile, you can start answering short surveys to earn. And you can cash out for free PayPal cash and a variety of different gift cards once you earn $5.

Branded Surveys website

What's cool about Branded Surveys is that it lets you earn free bonus cash through the Branded Elite program. Essentially, the more surveys you complete per month, the more bonus points you can earn through various Branded Elite loyalty tiers.

This feature makes Branded Surveys a great beermoney website if you grind out a lot of surveys per month. But it's also a useful site for more casual hustlers.

You can learn more about how this platform works in our official Branded Surveys review!

Availability: Canada, the United States, and the UK.

2. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is another popular way to make beermoney online, and this site is one of the largest GPT companies in the space.

I used Swagbucks back in my phone farming days very frequently. In fact, I've probably cashed out the most with this beermoney app out of any other platform.

Swagbucks sign up

Some of the earning methods on Swagbucks include:

Gift card rewards also start at just $1, so you can make quick money with this beermoney company. PayPal rewards are also available starting at $5.

Availability: Mostly global.

3. Kashkick

Kashkick is a newer player in this space, but it's another way to earn a fast $10 to $20 in PayPal money or more in your spare time.

With Kashkick, the main way to make money is by answering short surveys. But you can also earn cash for completing paid offers, which usually involve downloading a new mobile game or trying out different products.

Kashkick

Surveys usually pay $1 to $2, but some of the paid offers pay $20 to $40 or more. You only need $10 to cash out, and Kashkick pays you with PayPal money.

Availability: United States.

Sign up for Kashkick!

4. Prime Opinion

Prime Opinion is a new survey platform that makes it easy to answer questions for money. And with surveys paying upwards of $5 upon completion, it's one of the highest paying survey websites out there.

Signing up is free, and you can also get a $5 sign up bonus right now. From there, Prime Opinion lets you cash out with dozens of gift cards or via PayPal.

Prime Opinion

You can also cash out at $5 which is quite competitive. And there's also a unique leaderboard system and giveaways to help active members earn even more.

Availability: Global.

Try out Prime Opinion!

5. Cash Giraffe

If you have an Android and enjoy mobile gaming, then Cash Giraffe is for you.

This app is similar to Mistplay and Rewarded Play and pays you to download and play new games. It also has survey and shopping offers, however, so it's quite versatile.

Cash Giraffe app

My favorite part about the app is that it takes $0.20 to cash out through PayPal, which doesn't take long to reach. And, Cash Giraffe has dozens of games and offers to try at a time.

You can also try out apps from its parent company, like JustPlay and Cash Cow, for even more options.

Availability: Global.

Start earning with Cash Giraffe!

6. Scrambly

Scrambly is a new rewards platform that's available in Canada and the United States.

What makes the platform unique is that its team hand-picks offers for its members. So, you can earn by discovering new games you want to play, completing shopping offers, and by trying out new products and services.

Scrambly.io

Some of the offers on Scrambly pay $10 to $50 or more. And to date, I've made more than $400 with the platform.

You can cash out with PayPal as well as gift cards to companies like Apple and Amazon. It only takes $1 to cash out as well, which is a selling point.

Availability: United States and Canada.

Sign up for Scrambly!

7. Mistplay

When it comes to apps that pay you to play games, Mistplay is one of the most popular apps around.

This Android-only app is basically a loyalty program for mobile gaming fans. All you have to do is download Mistplay and then download games from its library and play them to begin earning.

Mistplay app

Mistplay lets you redeem points for a variety of free gift cards, and redemptions actually start at $0.50 for Amazon gift cards, which is pretty reasonable.

Again, no beermoney app will ever make you rich, but if you already play mobile games, apps like Mistplay are worth trying.

Availability: Dozens of countries.

Start earning with Mistplay!

8. Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie is one of the most popular websites in the business, and for good reason.

While most survey websites aren't worth it, Survey Junkie actually lets you cash out through PayPal or free gift cards once you reach $5.

SurveyJunkie

This is a realistic cash out threshold, and while it won't replace your day job, you can definitely benefit from answering surveys in your spare time with Survey Junkie.

Availability: Fairly global.

Sign up for Survey Junkie here!

9. Ipsos iSay

Like Branded Surveys, another site you can use to earn PayPal cash and gift cards is Ipsos iSay.

This leading survey app and site lets you complete short online surveys to earn points. You then cash out once you earn $5, and Ipsos iSay has dozens of gift cards and PayPal money to choose from.

Ipsos iSay

I like Ipsos iSay since it's available in dozens of countries. And a lot of the surveys pay $1 to $1.50, so you can actually cash out pretty quickly.

Overall, Ipsos is a reliable, easy online side hustle. And you can mix it in with other beermoney websites and cherry pick the highest paying surveys.

Availability: Global.

10. Pinecone Research

In my opinion, Pinecone Research (U.S. only) is one of the best beermoney sites in the business.

That's because you earn $3 for every survey you complete on Pinecone Research, which is a much higher rate than popular sites like InboxDollars.

Pinecone-research

Now, you have to apply to join Pinecone Research, and once you're accepted, you receive email invites when you qualify for a survey. This means you can't endlessly answer surveys to make extra cash, but again, the $3 payout rate is what makes this an excellent website.

You can also cash out instantly for various free gift cards or PayPal cash, so you don't have to wait ages to enjoy your rewards.

Availability: United States.

Sign up for Pinecone Research or read my Pinecone Research review for all the details.

11. Toluna

Toluna Influencers is another popular site that's ideal if you want to play games for PayPal cash.

There's a variety of games on the platform, with genres like puzzle and board games being pretty popular. You can also earn with paid surveys, and surveys usually pay between $0.25 to $1.50.

Toluna-influencers

The minimum redemption on Toluna is $5, and reward options include PayPal money and a bunch of different gift cards.

Availability: United States, Canada, and the UK.

Start earning with Toluna Influencers!

12. MySoapBox

Another one of my favorite beermoney sites that's a great way to make money online as a beginner is MySoapBox.

This survey site is available in the United States, Canada, and many European countries. And you can sign up and begin earning if you're 13 or older.

MySoapBox

Once you sign up, you can answer short surveys to earn points. You then redeem those points for a wide range of gift cards to companies like Amazon, Home Depot, Sephora, Target, Walmart, and Uber Eats.

You need $25 to cash out the first time, but future cash outs only require $5, which doesn't take very long to earn at all.

Start earning with MySoapBox!

13. InboxDollars

Speaking of InboxDollars, it's impossible to write a list of the best beermoney sites without mentioning this popular platform.

InboxDollars is a sister-site to Swagbucks. It lets you get free PayPal cash and gift cards in your spare time, and it also has a nice $5 sign up bonus.

InboxDollars

In the past, InboxDollars required $25 to cash out, which was pretty steep. But it's recently lowered its cash out requirement to $10 to $15 depending on the reward you're going for.

You can read my post on the best InboxDollars hacks for tips to earn as much as possible!

Availability: The United States.

Get started with InboxDollars!

14. Receipt Scanning Apps

I want to group this category of apps together since the idea is pretty similar. All you need to do is download various reward apps that pay you to scan receipts and you can then earn easy cash back for your daily shopping.

This is an easy way to make money shopping. And some of my favorite apps in this category include:

Upside App

Between these apps, you can earn daily cash back and gift cards when you shop for groceries, gas, and everyday essentials. And I've personally cashed out with all of these apps over the years and still use several of them to this day.

Availability: Mostly the United States.

15. Rewarded Play

Rewarded Play is another popular beermoney app that lets you earn free gift cards for playing new Android games.

The app has hundreds of games across genres like action, adventure, strategy, and card games.

Rewarded Play app

You earn points as you play games and complete in-game missions. And once you earn $5 worth of points, you can redeem them for gift cards to companies like Amazon, Nike, Target, and many more retailers.

I like Rewarded Play because of the sheer number of games it offers. And it's an excellent money making app if you already spend time gaming on your phone.

Read our Rewarded Play review for more info.

Availability: United States and Canada

16. Amazon MTurk

When it comes to making money on Amazon, the MTurk program is probably one of the most misunderstood.

Amazon MTurk, or Mechanical Turk, is a marketplace of “Human Intelligence Tasks,” or HITs. In a nutshell, some micro tasks simply can't be automated by machines (yet) and require humans to verify and complete.

amazon-mturk

Examples of jobs you find on Amazon MTurk include:

Some MTurk workers have made more than $50,000 over the course of several years. However, MTurk usually works out to around minimum wage if you get decent at it, and a bit lower if you're slow.

Availability: United States + 10 other countries.

17. Opinion Outpost

Opinion Outpost is another massively popular paid survey website that's been a long-standing player in the beermoney community.

According to its website, more than 3.5 million members cash out $390,000 dollars every month…which equates to over 3 million surveys per month!

OpinionOutpost

These are big numbers, but Opinion Outpost keeps things simple, which is actually a good thing. You can answer surveys, watch ads, and occasionally test products to earn points. Points are redeemable for PayPal cash, prepaid Visas, and Amazon gift cards.

Like Survey Junkie, there's also a $5 payout minimum. And you can join if you're 17 or older, making it a popular survey site for teens.

Availability: U.S., Canada, Germany, the UK.

Sign up for Opinion Outpost and start earning!

18. Gamehag

If you want to make money playing video games, you're going to love Gamehag.

Unlike most platforms that just pay you for download new mobile games, Gamehag lets you earn in a variety of ways, including playing PC games, writing articles, and winning giveaways.

Gamehag

The sheer selection of games is what makes Gamehag stand out. The bottom line is if you like playing video games, Gamehag is probably one of the most fun beermoney websites you can try.

Plus, rewards include prepaid Mastercards, in-game skins, free Steam games, Bitcoin, and gift cards.

Availability: U.S.

19. MyPoints

MyPoints is another popular beermoney site that's also a little more versatile than your average survey website.

The company is similar to Swagbucks, but one of the main way to make money with MyPoints is to shop for cashback offers.

MyPoints website

MyPoints lets you apply coupon codes and earn cashback for shopping. You can also earn points for answering surveys. And right now, you get a $5 sign up bonus to sweeten the deal.

It takes $10 to cash out, and MyPoints lets you redeem points for dozens of free gift card options.

Availability: U.S. and Canada.

Signup for MyPoints and earn some free gift cards!

20. Prolific

Prolific is actually a paid research website where you can earn money for taking part in real research studies.

So, unlike most survey websites that focus on consumer preferences, you'll actually find some interesting science and health-based opportunities here.

Prolific-website

Plus, the best part is that Prolific requires a minimum hourly rate of $6.50. So, while surveys might pay less than $6.50, when you break it down from an hourly earning perspective, it beats most beermoney survey sites by a mile.

Availability: Mostly global.

You can also read our post on the best sites like Prolific!

21. Grindabuck

Grindabuck is probably one of my personal favorite beermoney websites, and I've earned more than $100 from Grindabuck.

This get-paid-to (GPT) website lets you earn points by completing tasks like completing surveys, watching videos, and downloading new apps.

grindabuck-payments
Grindabuck Payment proof via PayPal.

However, I've found Grindabuck's survey section is a lot more reliable than websites like Swagbucks, and the reward options are decent too.

On Grindabuck, you can redeem points for free gift cards, PayPal cash, and various crypto rewards. Your first cashout requires $10, but after that, you can begin cashing out at $5 and $1 which is awesome.

Availability: U.S., Canada, Germany, Australia, and the UK.

22. PrizeRebel

PrizeRebel is one of the most popular survey platforms in the business, and they also run frequent giveaways on r/Beermoney and are pretty liked by the community.

PrizeRebel

Paid surveys are the name of the game on PrizeRebel. With the points you earn, you can redeem:

  • PayPal cash
  • Direct bank payments
  • Prepaid Visa cards
  • Free gift cards

Plus, PrizeRebel has a $5 redemption minimum, so it's fairly competitive with other survey sites.

Availability: Global.

23. Respondent

Respondent is another paid research platform that's similar to Prolific. Essentially, Respondent connects medical and marketing researchers with consumers who fit the target for certain studies.

Once you create a Respondent profile, you fill out a pretty in-depth demographic questionnaire to help match you to relevant research studies. If you get matched with one, you can accept and participate to get paid.

respondent

Now, Respondent claims you can make around $150 per hour, which is pretty insane. You'll find some studies pay less, of course, but this is generally one of the higher-paying beermoney opportunities.

Just note: you need to be approved/invited for a study based on your profile…you can't just complete study after study to make money.

Availability: Mostly global.

24. User Testing

Testing websites for money is another popular beermoney hustle, and User Testing is one of the leaders in this space.

Once you join User Testing and get approved, you can sign up to test websites and apps that are in development. You earn $10 a test, which takes about 10 to 15 minutes of your time…not a bad hourly rate if you ask me!

UserTesting

However, testers have to record themselves and give audible feedback as they navigate a website or app. This helps the website/app owner understand areas they can improve.

Occasionally, User Testing also runs live test sessions with customers that pay around $60 for one straight hour of testing. User Testing pays out through PayPal, and there's no minimum redemption amount.

There are also plenty of other websites like User Testing you can try as well if you want similar hustles.

Availability: Mostly global.

25. LifePoints

LifePoints is another popular survey website that's worth adding to your routine. And according to LifePoints, they've paid more than $22 million to members so far.

The platform is also pretty simple…sign up, answer surveys, and get paid.

lifepoints

LifePoints lets you redeem points from surveys for PayPal cash and a variety of free gift cards, so again, pretty straightforward.

The minimum LifePoints payout is around $5, which will probably take around a dozen surveys or a bit more to reach, assuming you don't get disqualified too often.

Availability: Mostly global.

26. Qmee

Qmee is one of the more interesting beermoney websites when you consider how diverse the platform is.

On Qmee, you can earn points by answering short surveys, searching the web, reading emails, shopping online, and more. Plus, Qmee also has a money-saving browser extension that helps you earn points as you search the web and find cashback opportunities.

Qmee

You can redeem points for PayPal cash, gift cards, or charitable donations. Additionally, Qmee doesn't have a minimum payout requirement, which is pretty sweet.

Check out our post on Qmee hacks to make more money and the best Qmee alternatives if you want to find even more opportunities to earn!

Availability: U.S., Canada, Australia, and the UK.

27. Drop

Drop is my favorite reward app that pays you for shopping online or in-store at your favorite brands.

Additionally, Drop recently added a games section that's similar to Mistplay. You can also answer the occasional survey for extra points.

Drop Rewards App

Admittedly, the most lucrative way to make money on Drop is to shop online; you can regularly find cashback offers ranging from $10 to $75+ depending on what you buy.

Drop does have a $25 redemption minimum, but I've earned about $50 from Drop over the past 2 years or so and it's very easy to use.

Availability: U.S. and Canada.

28. Acorns

Now, I'm normally not the biggest fan of micro-investing apps since I prefer DIY investing. However, when it comes to beermoney apps, a lot of people gravitate towards apps like Acorns.

In a nutshell, Acorns is a spare-change investing app that rounds up your purchases to invest on your behalf.

Acorns-appFor example, if you bought a drink for $2.45, Acorns would round up to $3 and invest the extra $0.55 for you.

Acorns invests in a variety of exchange traded funds, or ETFs, depending on your financial goals and level of risk tolerance.

In exchange for doing so, Acorns charges $1 per month. There are other Acorns plans, and the platform has recently added some cashback rewards and other opportunities to earn.

However, at its core, Acorns is designed to take bits of spare change and help you invest to make money daily.

Availability: United States.

29. Mobile Performance Meter

When it comes to passive income apps, one of my all-time favorites is Mobile Performance Meter.

After all, I've earned more than $75 in free money since using this app, and it's one of the best beermoney apps around in my opinion.

Embee-Meter-payments
Old Mobile Performance Meter payouts from back in the phone farming day.

Basically, Mobile Performance Meter pays you for selling your data to communication companies that are interested in testing cellular network performance and how you use the web.

You run the app in the background of your phone. In exchange, you earn approximately $0.10 to $0.30 per day.

That doesn't sound like a lot, but that's at least $36.50 per year on the low end and $109.50 on the higher side! And if you add other apps like Nielsen's Computer & Mobile Panel as well, your passive income can start stacking up.

You can cash out at $5 through PayPal or various gift cards, and I've never had a problem redeeming rewards with this company.

Availability: United States and Canada.

30. MobileXpression

Like Mobile Performance Meter, MobileXpression is a paid research panel that helps companies test network performance and how you browse the web.

However, unlike Mobile Performance Meter, you get paid in weekly credits for running this app, not cash.

MobileXpression

Credits are redeemable for free gift cards to Amazon, Best Buy, and Starbucks. I prefer Mobile Performance Meter since the earnings seem steadier and my phone eventually had problems with MobileXpression.

Regardless, you can still earn a few dollars worth of credits per month with this beermoney app once you tinker with it a bit.

Availability: United States and Canada.

31. Dosh

If you like Drop, you're going to love Dosh. In a nutshell, Dosh is the completely passive version of Drop, so it's the best beermoney app for anyone who doesn't want to put in extra work.

Once you connect a debit or credit card to Dosh, you automatically earn cashback for shopping at Dosh partners.

Dosh App

Current partners include companies like Walmart, Instacart, Dunkin Donuts, GNC, Sephora, and dozens of others. Dosh also pays you real cash. Once you reach $15, you cash out with Venmo, PayPal, or direct deposit.

Availability: United States.

32. AppStation

If you like Mistplay, AppStation is another gaming app you can add to your routine. This Android-only app lets you download and play new mobile games in exchange for points.

AppStation

Points are redeemable for gift cards and rewards at companies like Amazon, Xbox, Walmart, Google Play credit, and Steam.

The game selection is also decent, and genres include strategy, arcade, cards, betting, and multiplayer mobile games. The minimum payout requirement is $5, and overall, AppStation is another nifty app for mobile gaming fans.

Availability: United States.

33. Cash Magnet

If you have a spare Android phone laying around, Cash Magnet is another beermoney app you should try.

Now, this is one weird way to make money, and it's unlike any other app on this list. Cash Magnet actually transforms your phone into an autosurfing device that browses the web. As your phone runs, you earn points.

Cashmagnet-payment-proof
A screenshot of my earnings from Cash Magnet.

You have to download mobile games to let Cash Magnet run longer per day, so it's a bit of a complicated system. Personally, I used Cash Magnet when phone farming and earned more than $70.

I wouldn't run this app on your main phone since it basically takes over your device, but it's viable if you have a burner phone laying around.

Availability: Global.

34. S'more Lockscreen

If you want another easy $0.10 per day on autopilot, the S'more lockscreen app is for you!

In exchange for placing ads on your phone's lockscreen, S'more pays you $0.10 worth of points per day. You can also answer surveys for money, but at its core, this is another passive earner that's available for Android.

S`more-app

If you run S'more for one year and answer some surveys, that's about $50 in free money…not bad! Plus, S'more lets you cash out with free gift cards once you reach $1.50, which is only 15 days of activity.

Availability: United States.

35. McMoney

Another weird category of beermoney apps involve getting paid for receiving text messages. Yup, that's right…companies like McMoney pay you to let companies text you.

McMoney

McMoney claims their clients are interested in testing mobile network performance in different parts of the world. Each text message you get is worth a few pennies. You can cash out through PayPal once you reach $1.

Ultimately, texting apps that pay are probably the least lucrative type of beermoney app. However, if you're running other similar apps, this will boost earnings slightly.

Availability: Global.

If you like this app, also check out our Money SMS review for more ideas on how to get paid to text.

Tips For Getting Started

I want to wrap up our beermoney guide with a quick note on how to tell if a beermoney website or app is legit or not. Generally, here are some warning signs you should keep note of:

  • High Payout Requirements – If a website or app seems like it'll take months or years to cash out, it's not worth it.
  • High Sign Up Bonuses – Again, if a beermoney platform claims you can earn $20+ for signing up, there's usually some sort of catch.
  • High Earning Claims – A lot of companies claim things like “earn $5+ or $20+ per survey!” These are almost always lies.
  • A Lack Of Reviews – Always check Reddit and r/Beermoney for reviews if you're considering an app or website.

Hopefully, this guideline helps you stay safe when exploring this side hustle community!

Final Thoughts

Well, there you have it: you're now ready to make some extra cash on the side with your computer or phone.

I've been a part of this world for more than five years now. In fact, beermoney is why I started a blog in the first place. I know none of these ideas will transform your finances, but that's really not the goal here.

These are all simple, easy ways to earn some rewards in your spare time…not ideas that will let you quit your 9-5 job. Hopefully, you find a few ideas in this guide that work well in your country.
