Empower is a legit and popular cash advance app that lets its members borrow up to $300 instantly while also accessing a line of credit. And it's designed to help its members smooth their cash flow and make ends meet while improving their credit.

But is the Empower cash advance app worth using? And how does it compare to its competitors?

Our Empower app review is sharing how this app works, its fees, and how to decide if it's right for you.

Want more fast money ideas? Checkout:

 • EarnIn: Our favorite advance app that lets you borrow up to $750 per pay period.
 • TurboDebt: Get fast debt relief help if you have $10,000+ in debt.

Key Takeaways:

 • Empower offers instant cash advances of $10 to $300
 • Credit lines from Empower grow up to $1,000 over time
 • Users access multiple repayment options for credit lines
 • Empower’s automated savings feature helps build smart savings habits

Is Empower Legit?

Empower is legit and lets its members borrow up to $300 in an advance to help cover bills. The app is also highly rated on both app stores, with a 4.7 star rating on the Google Play Store and 4.8 star rating on the Apple App Store.

However, Empower also has a 1.9 star rating on Trustpilot, with many negative reviews. Many users complain that they can't access cash advances and that customer service is extremely poor.

Apps like Empower can be useful if you need to pay rent, bills, or cover sudden expenses. But when they don't actually help you advance cash, they're far less useful.

At WebMonkey, we ultimately prefer apps like EarnIn and Dave. Both have higher advance limits and also have way higher ratings on Trustpilot than Empower.

What Is The Empower App & What Does It Offer?

Empower is a financial technology company that specializes in cash advances and lines of credit. And it's not to be confused with the Empower budgeting app, which used to be called Personal Capital.

Like other apps in the space such as Cleo and Klover, Empower's goal is to help its members make it to their next paycheck. It's a way to access quick cash if you're in a pinch.

The app also has other tools to help members save money and track spending. And I'll cover its main features, as well as fees and requirements, below.

1. Empower Cash Advance

Empower's cash advance feature lets you borrow between $10 and $300. However, not all users qualify for the full $300. In fact, you'll likely qualify for far less and then have to build your advance limit over time.

Once you sign up, Empower connects to your bank account and analyzes data like your recurring bills and bank deposits. It then determines how much you're eligible to borrow based on this data, so steady paychecks and responsible spending habits can lead to a higher advance limit.

This is the same system similar apps like Super.com and Brigit use. If you don't receive steady paychecks, you likely won't qualify for an Empower cash advance.

But if you do qualify, it's a useful tool. Cash advances from Empower have no interest, late fees, or credit checks. In most cases, you get your cash advance within 15 minutes of requesting it.

Empower sets a repayment date, which you agree to when you accept your cash advance. When that date arrives, Empower automatically withdraws the amount of your cash advance from your linked bank account to pay it back. You can use the app to reschedule your repayment date if needed.

You may get an overdraft fee from your bank if you don’t have enough money in your account to cover your cash advance on your scheduled payment date. Fortunately, Empower reimburses your overdraft fee if you show customer support evidence of the fee being charged.

?? How To Make $500 By Tomorrow.

2. Empower Thrive

Empower Thrive provides instant access to a credit limit of $200 to $400. And members can increase this limit to up to $1,000 over time by making on-time payments.

Unlike many other lines of credit and credit cards, you don’t need a specific credit score to qualify for a Thrive line of credit. You can apply for Thrive in just a few minutes using the Empower app.

As you continue borrowing and paying off your credit line in time, you can build credit through Thrive. Empower regularly reports your activity to major credit bureaus, so you can see a boost to your credit over time by making on-time payments.

Note that you can’t use Thrive when you have a current cash advance, so you won’t see the option available in the app until you pay off your cash advance. This is to prevent users from over-borrowing money.

3. Automatic Saving & Budgeting Tools

Put your savings on autopilot with the Empower app’s automatic savings feature, which helps you save without thinking about it.

Empower learns your spending activities through your linked bank account and suggests a manageable savings goal for you. You’re free to adjust that suggestion or skip auto-savings altogether. If you select auto-save, Empower automatically transfers the amount you want on your preferred schedule to your savings account, which you can also open through Empower.

You can also access simple budgeting tools through Empower. See where you’re spending the most money, customize spending categories, and set limits for yourself within each category.

If budgeting is your main goal, apps like Rocket Money or YNAB are far better choices. But it's nice that Empower has some built-in tools to encourage saving.

Empower Cash Advance Requirements & Eligibility

There are several requirements to take out an Empower cash advance and become a member, including:

 • Being 18 or older
 • Having a U.S. bank account
 • Having a valid Social Security Number
 • Having a mobile phone that can receive SMS messages

As mentioned, you also need regular income from paychecks coming into your linked bank account for Empower to grant you a cash advance. This means irregular income from gig work, social benefits, or occasional cash transfers doesn't qualify.

If you don't qualify for Empower, we suggest trying Cleo since it has more lenient requirements. You can always check your status for a cash advance by clicking the “Check eligibility now” link in the app.

How Much Does Empower Cost?

Empower offers a free 14-day trial for new customers who haven’t used the app before. After the trial, a subscription costs $8 per month, which gives you access to an Empower loan, automatic savings, and a Thrive credit line.

Empower also charges additional fees for instant deliveries of a cash advance, based on the amount of your cash advance, from $1 to $8. However, advances often deliver within a day without extra charges.

Overall, paying $8 per month for this kind of advance is likely cheaper than turning to your credit card or payday loans. However, apps like EarnIn don't charge mandatory fees and have a higher advance limit. And Dave's membership cost is only $1 per month; way lower than Empower's fees.

How Does The Empower App Work? Here’s How to Get Started

Ready to see what Empower is all about? Here’s what to do to get started.

 1. Download the Empower app from the App Store or Google Play.
 2. Fill out your information to create an account.
 3. Connect your bank account using Plaid. Empower connects to U.S. financial institutions. If you can’t find your bank in the list, use the search bar to locate it.
 4. Enter your bank account’s login credentials to connect to your account.
 5. The Empower app will show you the amount of the cash advance you qualify for instantly after connecting your account, from $10 to $300.
 6. If you’re eligible for a cash advance, you can request one immediately.
 7. Review the details of the cash advance offer from Empower, including the amount of the advance and the repayment date.
 8. Accept your offer and wait for your cash advance to arrive. In most cases, you’ll see your advance reach your bank account within 15 minutes.

?? The Best Free Real Money Apps That Pay Instantly

Pros & Cons

Pros:

 • Empower is easy to use
 • There's a 14-day free trial
 • Cash advances don't charge interest or late fees
 • No credit check requirement
 • You can use Empower Thrive to potentially build credit and access up to $1,000

Cons:

 • Empower has a high monthly membership cost
 • Lower cash advance limit than many competitors
 • Negative reviews complain about slow customer service and random charges
 • Customers can't use Empower Thrive and its cash advance feature at the same time

The Best Apps Like Empower For Cash Advances

Empower is a popular advancing app, but we think it falls short due to monthly fees and many negative reviews.

Some of the best apps like Empower you can use instead include:

 • EarnIn (best overall)
 • Current (best bank with advances)
 • Dave (best for side hustlers)
 • Super.com (best for cash-back deals)
 • Cleo (best for gig workers)
 • Brigit (best for building credit)
 • Yendo (best for credit lines)

Of course, you can always turn to other options, like asking friends and family to spot you. Alternatively, you can try various side hustles that pay daily for some fast cash.

?? The Best $200 Cash Advance Apps.

Other Empower Cash Advance Reviews From Customers

Empower has mixed reviews from customers. As of this writing, Empower’s rating on Trustpilot is 1.9 of 5 stars, although less than 30 people have left reviews or ratings. On the Better Business Bureau, Empower has a 1.07 rating out of 5 stars from a couple of dozen customer reviews. While these ratings are low, it’s important to remember that there aren’t many reviews of Empower yet on these platforms.

As for the positives, several users like that Empower gives them a little bit of cushion between paychecks, allowing them to quickly and easily get small cash advances to cover a bill or two until they get paid again. Many users admit that the process is incredibly easy and like that they can grow their cash advance amounts over time.

The negative ratings mostly center on miscellaneous fees charged by Empower and difficulty finding out what the charges are for. Some customers have also mentioned getting their cash advances deducted from their bank accounts on dates they didn’t originally agree to, leaving them to face overdrafts with their banks. Other complaints are regarding the $8/month subscription fee, which some believe is higher than necessary for Empower’s services, and the lack of customer support.

?? The Highest Paying Apps To Try This Month.

Is The Empower App Safe?

Yes, Empower is safe to use. The Empower app uses 256-bit SSL end-to-end encryption to secure your data, plus other security features like Touch ID and multi-factor authentication, to keep your information safe. It also uses Plaid, a trusted and secure fintech company, to connect your bank account without holding onto any of your account data.

Is There Customer Service?

Yes, Empower has a customer service team, but some customers note that it’s difficult to get a hold of someone quickly when needed. To contact Empower customer service, email [email protected] at any time or call (888) 943-8967 from 6 AM to 3 PM Pacific time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Is Empower Worth It?

Empower cash advance is worth it if you need a quick solution to borrow money and don't want to turn to a personal loan or your credit card. However, it has a steep monthly fee. And we think there are plenty of better alternatives like EarnIn or Cleo that you should try first.

Additionally, Empower won't work if you don't have steady income. Once again, in this case, something like Cleo or Klover might be the better choice.

Hopefully, our Empower review helps you decide if this popular app belongs on your smartphone!

As one of the most popular destinations to shop online, there's no denying that getting free Amazon gift cards is something everyone could use. But, what if it was possible to earn Amazon gift cards by playing games in your spare time?

Well, the great news is that there are plenty of ways to earn money by playing games. And plenty of leading gaming apps have Amazon gift cards as reward options.

In fact, I've been testing and using these types of paid gaming apps for years. And I've cashed out dozens of Amazon gift cards over the years. If you want to do the same and enjoy some new games, this is the post for you.

Want more options besides Amazon gift card earning apps? Checkout:

 • Branded Surveys: Share your opinion and earn gift cards and PayPal cash!
 • EarnIn: Borrow up to $750 against an upcoming paycheck!

The Best Amazon Gift Card Earning Apps & Games

1. Cash Giraffe

Cash Giraffe is my current favorite gaming rewards app. And that's because this Android gaming app is easy to use and offers fast payouts.

With Cash Giraffe, you can play new games and cash out for free PayPal money at just $0.20. Amazon gift cards are also available at only $5.

If you're looking for quick money, it's hard to beat these cash out minimums.

And Cash Giraffe also adds new games all the time. So, you can play games in genres like action, adventure, puzzle, strategy, and word games and then enjoy a steady stream of free Amazon gift cards.

Try out Cash Giraffe today or read my post: is Cash Giraffe legit?

2. Freecash

Freecash is a newer get-paid-to website and Android app I've been testing out. And it's a super fun way to boost your online income.

As a member, Freecash lets you make money in so many ways. Paid surveys, playing cash games, shopping online, and watching videos are just a few examples. And you cash out with Amazon gift cards or PayPal cash at only $5.

There are other gift card and crypto rewards on the table too. And I think Freecash is a great PC or phone side hustle because it adds new ways to earn every day.

Start earning with Freecash!

3. Rewarded Play

Another effective way to earn Amazon gift cards by playing games is to use Rewarded Play.

This is another one of my top Android gaming apps that lets you play games for gift cards. It's available in Canada and the United States, and it's completely free to use.

Rewarded Play app

The app has free Amazon gift cards available as rewards after you earn $5. Other gift card options include Best Buy, Macy's, Sephora, Target, and Uber Eats.

In my experience, downloading and playing three games or so should earn enough for you to cash out a gift card. And like Cash Giraffe, Rewarded Play adds new games all the time to keep things exciting.

Try out Rewarded Play!

4. Kashkick

Do you live in the United States? If so, you need to try Kashkick.

This website and app lets you answer surveys and play games for PayPal cash. It's free to sign up for, and you just have to be 18 or older to sign up.

Kashkick

The best part is that some gaming offers pay $5 to $50 or even more, so it's one of the highest paying apps out there. You also get paid to PayPal after earning only $10.

This isn't quite a gift card, but hey, cash is king if you ask me!

Start earning with Kashkick!

5. InboxDollars

InboxDollars is another money-making site you can use to earn Amazon gift cards by playing games and completing various microtasks.

This U.S. website is free to sign up for and is available if you're 18 or older. It offers Amazon gift cards, PayPal cash, and dozens of other gift card options to cash out with.

InboxDollars

I like sites like InboxDollars since it offers plenty of options to earn money, including:

You can cash out with gift cards after earning $10. And InboxDollars has an instant $5 sign up bonus to help you reach that first cash out much faster.

Try out InboxDollars!

6. MyFreeApp

MyFreeApp is a new discovery rewards website you can sign up for if you live in the United States.

It's a fun way to get paid to play new games and for trying out new mobile apps. And it's similar to Freecash and Scrambly, two other popular discovery reward sites.

MyFreeApp

The gaming offers are especially high-paying, with some games paying out $5 to $100+ as you complete different milestones.

But the best part is you only need $1 to cash out to PayPal and Amazon. And other gift cards to companies like Walmart, Apple, and Google Play only require $5 to cash out.

Get started with MyFreeAppor read our MyFreeApp review to learn more.

7. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a popular survey site and get-paid-to platform that I've actually been using for several years since my time in college.

This website is available in dozens of countries. And my favorite part about it is that it has plenty of ways to earn money online, alongside gaming offers.

Swagbucks sign up

Some of the main ways to earn money with Swagbucks include:

Amazon gift cards are often available at only $1. So, you can play a few games or complete other offers and then cash out quickly. And, Swagbucks often has a sign up bonus for new members ranging from $5 to $15 depending on the steps you complete.

Try out Swagbucks!

8. Money Well

Money Well is another leading Android gaming app that's similar to Cash Giraffe.

This free app pays you with points to download and play new games. You then redeem those points for PayPal money or a wide range of gift cards.

Money Well app

You can cash out with gift cards at $5, and PayPal cash is redeemable at $0.50 if you need quick money.

This app won't make you rich of course. But for the occasional free Amazon gift card, it's a pretty steady app you can try.

Download Money Well or read my Money Well review!

9. Mistplay

Mistplay is one of the leading gaming reward apps out there. And this is probably the app I've used the most over the years while writing on WebMonkey.

This Android-only app is another app to get Amazon gift cards by playing games. All you have to do is download and play new games from Mistplay's library to earn points you redeem for prizes.

Mistplay app

What makes Mistplay unique is that free Amazon gift cards are available starting at only $5, whereas most apps require $5 to cash out.

Mistplay also added PayPal cash redemptions recently after you earn $10. And the app has one of the best variety of games out of all the apps on this list.

Try out Mistplay or read my Misplay review for all the details.

10. Cosmic Rewards

If you like apps like Rewarded Play and Mistplay, then you'll love Cosmic Rewards.

This is another Android app that pays you with free gift cards, including ones to Amazon. All you need to do is download and play new mobile games to earn Stardust, the in-app reward points.

Cosmic Rewards

There are dozens of games to download and try at a given time. The team also adds new games all the time to keep things interesting. Plus, many gift cards are available starting at $5.

Just note that Cosmic Rewards is currently available in the United States.

11. Cashyy

Like Money Well, Cashyy is a free Android gaming app with gift cards and real money rewards up for grabs.

This gaming app is pretty much the same as the other options on this list: just download games, play them to earn points, and then redeem those points for prizes.

Cashyy Game App

Cashyy has PayPal cash rewards available at only $0.20 which is pretty unique. But you can also earn Amazon gift cards by playing games with this app and cash out at $5.

Cashyy also has other free gift card options as well, including retailers like Apple and iTunes, Best Buy, Nike, Starbucks, and Steam.

Try out Cashyy or read my post: is Cashyy legit?

12. JustPlay

JustPlay is another Android gaming app where you can earn gift cards or PayPal cash by playing new games.

What makes this app unique is that you can cash out with?any?amount for your first cash out. From there, you only need $2 to cash out.

JustPlay App

Apps like JustPlay also come from the same developer as Cash Giraffe, Cash Cow, and Money Well. So, it's run by a reputable and popular company that has tons of top apps.

13. Buff

If you're a fan of PC gaming, then Buff is a must-download app.

This platform pays you with points for playing leading PC titles like Call of Duty, League of Legends, Minecraft, DOTA, and Valorant. All you have to do is download Buff and then run it in the background while you game to earn.

Buff gaming rewards

You can then redeem points for prizes like free Amazon gift cards, Playstation cards, gaming merchandise, Google Play credit, and more.

And my favorite part about Buff is that it's basically passive income since you're earning while playing leading PC titles you'd play?anyways.

Try out Buff today!

14. AppStation

One final way to play games for Amazon gift cards is to use an app called AppStation.

This app is similar to Mistplay and lets you earn rewards by playing new Android games. In fact, it's basically the exact same as Mistplay and has a similar selection of games you can play.

Free gift cards are available to cash out once you earn $5, which takes playing a couple of games. Gift card options include Amazon, Best Buy, Macy's, Subway, Starbucks, and Walmart.

I prefer using Mistplay and Rewarded Play since I like some of the games more. But you can always mix-in AppStation to earn as much as possible.

Tips For Getting Started

Now that you know some of my favorite paid gaming apps that have Amazon gift card rewards, here are a few tips you can keep in mind to help boost your earnings:

 1. Shuffle Between Apps: Gaming reward apps often pay less per hour over time as you go through games. So, mix things up once in a while and keep trying new apps to earn more per hour.
 2. Set Earning Goals: Set a weekly and monthly earnings goal so you have a fixed target to work towards.
 3. Try Other Gift Card Methods: There are plenty of other ways to get free Amazon gift cards besides gaming. Options like survey apps or shopping extensions are some of my favorites, but you have?so?many options.

Final Thoughts

I hope this guide on how to earn free Amazon gift cards by playing games helps you save some money while testing out a few new, fun side hustles.

After using gaming apps for years, I'll be the first to admit this isn't a full-time job. But I think you can make an easy, quick $10 or so in your spare time while checking out some new games.

And if you stack a few apps, there's no reason you can't earn a couple of gift cards every few weeks without much effort.

Prograd is a unique discovery rewards website that helps people find new side hustle ideas while also improving their financial literacy.

Prograd is already popular in the UK, with 250,000 users who have collectively earned £3,00,000. And it's now launching in the United States and continues to help its members improve their finances.

But is Prograd legit? And should you sign up for this site?

Our Prograd review is covering how it works, its earning potential, and how to ultimately decide if this site is worth it for you.

Key Takeaways:

 • Prograd helps members discover new side hustles
 • It's free to join and is available in the UK and US
 • You can also get paid to learn financial lessons and to practice investing
 • Members cash out Pro Points to PayPal
 • This is a legit and fun discovery rewards website

What Is Prograd & What Does It Offer?

Prograd is a gpt site that also lets members earn by learning different financial lessons. And the premise behind the platform is to match its users with the best side hustles and financial opportunities that match their goals. It launched in the UK in 2020 and has since expanded to the United States.

You can join Prograd for free in both countries if you're 18 or older. The onboarding process is simple and asks you several questions, including:

 • How much do you want to make per month?
 • When is your birthday?
 • What is your 9 to 5 job?

Prograd uses this information to tailor the experience to you by recommending the best gig apps, hustles, saving tools, and online jobs. After answering these basic questions, Prograd prompted us to input an email and password. Check both boxes if you want to receive emailed offers and notifications.

1. Prograd Drops

One of Prograd's main features in both the UK and US is its “Drops” system.

Prograd Drops are basically a list of side hustles and financial opportunities that Prograd shares every day at a certain time. The layout of these drops is essentially a slide deck you can shuffle through, swiping on the hustles you like or dislike. It's almost like a dating app!

Each slide outlines the side hustle, its earning potential, and a star rating. There are also based that highlight information like earning potential, effort required, offer category, risk level, as well as some pros and cons.

This idea is similar to our side hustle database. And it also shares many side hustle ideas we've covered here on WebMonkey before. Some of the slides in our first few drops included:

 • Branded Surveys: Give your opinion, $50/month + 19% bonuses + 200 points.
 • Freecash: Test new games and apps, $30/month + 525 points.
 • Kashkick: Earn rewards for playing games and get 400 points.
 • FlexJobs: Find high-paying remote jobs and get 500 points.
 • Swagbucks: Earn $35+ per month and get 100 points.

If you click on an offer, it also shows you more information and how to sign up. Plus, Prograd pays you with Pro Points if you complete certain tasks. These points are redeemable for real cash, which I'll cover later, but it's nice you can find new earning opportunities and get paid for doing so.

Just take a look at the Freecash example for an idea:

You can earn up to 525 points by trying out Freecash and completing some offers, like playing cash games. This is worth $5.25; not bad when you consider Freecash also lets you earn free money for completing fun tasks.

Overall, I found that Prograd's earning estimates and information was pretty realistic. And I like that it doesn't exaggerate earning potential.

2. Learn & Earn

Another section of the Prograd App is exclusively geared toward financial literacy. In this Learn & Earn section, you can click on learning paths to develop your money-related knowledge base. Here are a few of the classes we saw:

 • How to Start Investing (1000 Pro Points)
 • Introduction to Crypto and Web3 (1000 Pro Points)
 • Earning More (100 Pro Points)
 • What’s a Budget (100 Pro Points)
 • Improving My Credit Score (100 Pro Points)
 • Navigating Car Financing and Ownership Costs (500 Pro Points)
 • Understanding Mortgages and Homebuying (450 Pro Points)
 • Retirement Planning and Pension Schemes (400 Pro Points)

As you can see, these are some basic “adulting” topics about money management. And I like that you can learn about income investing, navigating debt, crypto, and figuring out how to save more money. Plus, you can earn about $30+ in points if you complete all the modules and some offers along the way.

In the words of Robert Kiyosaki (author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad), “The single most powerful asset we all have is our mind. If it is trained well, it can create enormous wealth in what seems to be an instant.” And, you’ll also earn some ProPpints as you learn.

3. Investment Simulator

If you want to learn how to invest, Prograd has an Investment Simulator tool you can try.

This tool lets you invest up to 30% of your Pro Points to use in a paper trading simulator. In other words, you're using your points to practice investing without any real monetary risk. You can choose what “assets” you want your points invested in, like:

 • Bitcoin
 • Ethereum
 • Amazon
 • Netflix
 • Starbucks
 • S&P 500
 • FTSE 100 (a UK stock index)
 • Prograd

As you can see, some of these are stocks, some are crypto, some are commodities (gold), and some are index funds (S&P, FTSE 100). Prograd isn't a publicly traded company, so your simulated investment in Prograd is comparable to that of a private equity investor.

You can buy fractional shares of each investment, and investments are priced to represent their actual market prices in the real world. For instance, when we signed up, Amazon was worth 186 Pro Points (to match the $186 share price on the NYSE).

You can see some light stats about your investments, such as the percent increase for that week. If you click on assets to invest, you’ll see a brief description, along with badges that provide key info: blue chip, startup, industry, and risk level, to name a few.

The purpose of the simulator is to show you the long-term power of investing for the future. However, as an added bonus, your Pro Points will actually grow. And since Pro Points are redeemable, you can actually make some real money on this simulator.

This is a pretty cool way to potentially earn passive income. Although I still think you're better off investing in real income generating assets or using a real trading platform like Moomoo or Stash to put your money to work.

?? The Best Passive Income Earning Apps.

Prograd Pro Points – Cashing Out & Rewards

You can cash out Pro Points for free PayPal cash. You need 1,000 Pro Points to cash out $10, so 100 Pro Points is equal to $1 of real money.

You have to verify your identity to cash out. Additionally, payments take 4 to 5 business days to process. However, I love that Prograd lets you cash in your Pro Points for real money, not just gift card prizes or sweepstake entries.

You get 100 points when you sign up, so there's a little sign up bonus. And completing Drops or investing your points helps you earn more.

Overall, this is a pretty innovative system for a gpt site to have. A $10 redemption minimum is a tad high but is in-line with companies like InboxDollars and Surveoo.

Also note that both Prograd UK and Prograd US offer PayPal payments.

Is Prograd Legit?

Prograd is legit and lets members discover new side hustles while earning rewards in the process. It also has a 4.5 star rating on Trustpilot and over 1,100 reviews. Moreover, only 8% of reviewers gave it less than 3 stars.

Most of these Prograd reviews come from Prograd UK users. Prograd US is still expanding, and I've noticed some of the offers aren't the best, or that there's a smaller bank of offers right now. But as the platform grows and adds more opportunities, it should only improve.

?? The Best Free Money Apps Paying Instantly.

How Much Can You Earn With Prograd?

How much you earn with Prograd largely depends on how many Drop offers you complete. But with a bit of effort, making $10 to $25 per month in points from Prograd should be pretty realistic. Plus, by completing all the learning modules alone, you could earn 3,650 points or $36.50!

The investment simulator is also cool. I like that you can earn money on autopilot by reinvesting your points instead of just cashing them out immediately.

However, the main earning potential with Prograd comes from finding new side hustles. It can connect members to legit paid survey sites, gig apps, online work, and paid to play games. And with these hustles, you can definitely increase your monthly income.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

 • Numerous side hustle opportunities are released daily
 • You can get paid to improve your financial literacy
 • Cash out Pro Points for PayPal cash
 • Innovative investment feature to earn passive income
 • Honest side hustle data

Cons:

 • There's no Prograd app yet
 • Prograd is only available in the UK and US right now
 • The sign up process can be a bit buggy
 • Prograd US has limited offers right now

The Best Websites Like Prograd

We think Prograd is a fun and unique way to find new money-making methods. But you can also try out several Prograd alternatives that pay you to earn, including:

Freecash is our number one pick overall. But you can use several of these platforms to earn money online for free while having some fun along the way.

Is Prograd Safe Or A Scam?

Prograd isn't a scam and helps its members earn rewards and discover new income opportunities. We also “double-dipped” and signed up a second time on the UK site, just to poke around. The UK site has even more features than the US version, which makes us optimistic about how the American app will develop. Incidentally, the rewards exchange ratio on the UK version is also 100 points for one pound.

?? The Best Money Making Apps Without Investment.

Is There Customer Service?

There is indeed email-based support. Send a message to [email protected]. We don’t have word on the turnaround time, but typically (based on similar sites) you should expect a reply in 24-48 hours. As Prograd expands, we can imagine they will introduce a more robust chatbot feature.

Who Can Sign Up?

We could not find this info in the FAQ, but we played around with some signups and found that even a 16-year-old could sign up. However, you need to be 18 to open a PayPal account in the US. When you cash out your Pro Points, you have to verify yourself. That said, it would seem that while teenagers can sign up for Prograd, only legal adults can really earn.

?? The Ultimate List Of High-Paying Apps.

Final Thoughts

I hope this Prograd review helps you decide if this discovery rewards platform is worth signing up for.

We're definitely fans of what the company is doing. Getting paid $36 just for learning about personal finance is a great start. Being able to invest your rewards and have the output match actual investments is also awesome.

Cons: the “drops” or suggestions may contain some “old news” to veterans of the side hustle game. Some features still seem a little buggy on desktop play, and no app yet. There was no Prograd referral code we could find (as of yet), which is typically a staple way to make additional passive income with these side hustle apps.

But if the UK version is any indicator, it seems that Prograd’s US version will continue onward with some exciting developments like more rewards and even professional development tools.

Need a few bucks to make it to your next payday? Could a bit of side cash help you buy a few groceries or partially fill up your tank to get you to work?

We all have times when we’re running short on cash. Sometimes all we really need is a few bucks to get by. And not everyone has family or friends that can help them out.

This is where cash advance apps that help you borrow $25 instantly (or even more) can help you make ends meet. So, let's explore some of our favorite $25 loan instant apps you can use to get paid ASAP.

The Best $25 Instant Loan Apps For Cash Advances

1. EarnIn

EarnIn is our all-time favorite borrowing app, and it's a very easy way to get a $25 cash advance, or even more, if you need quick money.

With EarnIn, you can borrow up to $100 per day – for $750 in total – in a given pay period. And this is super useful if you need to pay rent, bills, or cover some emergency.

EarnIn doesn't charge charge interest or mandatory fees. There's no credit check requirement either. Instead of fees, EarnIn asks for voluntary tips. You can also pay a variable fee if you want an instant cash deposit. Otherwise, you can get your deposit without fees in a few business days.

Like the other $25 loan apps in this article, EarnIn connects to your bank account and analyzes paycheck history to determine how much you're eligible to borrow. Not every user qualifies. But you can steadily increase your limit with more payment history and on-time payments.

Try out EarnIn today or read our EarnIn app review to learn more.

2. Cleo

You can get a $25 instant cash advance served up with a side of sarcasm with Cleo – an AI-powered financial app.

With Cleo, members can borrow anywhere from $20 to $250 in an interest-free cash advance. New members can borrow $20 to $100, but more established members can borrow up to $250.

Klover

There's no interest or credit check requirement either as with EarnIn. And Cleo monitors your bank account to determine how much you can borrow.

Advances deposit for free within 3 to 4 working days. You can also pay an express fee of $3.99 to get paid right away. Cleo also charges $5.99 per month for Cleo Plus, which unlocks advances.

We like Cleo for gig workers and freelancers since it doesn't require W2 deposits to qualify for an advance; any regular income can qualify. Plus, the app has budgeting features to help members save extra money.

Try out Cleo today or read our Cleo app review!

3. Dave

Dave3 offers cash advances of up to $500 and is another excellent option to borrow $25 or much more if you're struggling financially right now.

Dave is one of our favorite borrowing apps alongside EarnIn and Cleo. And it simply charges a $1 monthly fee to let you access cash advances. The app also asks for optional tips and doesn't charge interest or require a credit check.

We like Dave because it also has a nifty tool to help you find the best side hustles. This includes various gig jobs, paid surveys, reward apps, part-time work, and even passive income ideas. Dave also has budgeting tools like Cleo.

Most qualifying users receive a cash advance from Dave in 1 to 3 business days. Express fees can apply if you need an instant transfer and transfers to some banks may take longer.

Get started with Dave or read our Dave app review to learn more!

4. Super.com

Super.com is one of the most versatile cash advance options out there. And it can also help you borrow $20 to $250 against a future paycheck without paying interest or hidden fees.

This website is a mix of a rewards site and a get-paid-to site. It offers cash advances as well as coupons, cash-back deals, travel discounts, and even side hustle opportunities.

That's right: you can borrow $25 but also earn with options like cash games, shopping deals, and cash surveys. Not too shabby!

Just note you have to pay for Super+ to unlock advances and most of its features. This costs $15 per month. But you don't pay mandatory fees on advances and can easily offset your membership cost with its earning offers.

Supercharge your finances with Super.com or read our Super.com review to learn more!

5. Current

Are you looking for a digital savings solution that also helps you borrow $25 or even more?

Then Current could be for you. This FinTech company offers a no-fee checking and savings account to help you spend and save your money more easily. And it also has cash advances of up to $500 as well as free overdraft protection of up to $200.

Our favorite part about Current is that its savings account also pays 4% APY on up to $6,000 in savings. This is a great way to earn on autopilot, and you don't pay monthly account fees.

On top of that, there's even a $50 sign up bonus for new members if you sign up and set up qualifying direct deposits. And Current even offers early paycheck deposits of up to 2 days.

Get $50 from Current or read our Current bank review to learn more!

6. Klover

Another simple way to get a $25 instant cash advance is to use Klover.

Like other apps in this list, Klover doesn't charge interest, late fees, or require a credit check. And its unique system is great for those with lower incomes or who might not have the best credit score.

Chime app

Klover lets you borrow up to $200 with its cash advance feature. You can increase your borrowing limit by earning points in unique ways. For example, answering online surveys, saving money, watching videos, and other fun options can increase your limit.

Klover also has other features like daily cash giveaway and budgeting tools. It can take up to 3 days for Klover to process a cash advance, so keep this in mind.

Users can also upgrade to Klover+ for $4.99 per month to unlock even more features including credit monitoring and access to a financial advisor.

Try out Klover today or read our Klover app review!

7. MoneyLion

MoneyLion is an all-in-one financial solution that offers everything from a checking and savings account to options for income investing.

Its cash advance feature also lets you borrow $25 to $500 against your upcoming paycheck. And it can also help match you to the best personal loans for you to help you borrow $25 or way more.

You don't pay interest or mandatory fees for the advance. Some of MoneyLion's other features have monthly costs, but we like the company if you're looking for an all-in-one solution to make, save, and borrow.

8. Chime MyPay

You may know Chime for its lack of fees and high-interest savings accounts. But it also has a new feature called Chime MyPay that lets you borrow up to $500 before payday.

Like the other $25 loan apps I've covered, Chime MyPay doesn't charge interest or hidden fees. There's no credit check either. You get your money for free if you wait more than 24 hours or pay a $2 flat fee for an instant deposit.

Most new members get $50 to $100 as their advance limit, so your $25 is covered. You can then increase your limit with more pay cycles.

Chime also has other great features including access to over 60,000+ ATMs and the ability to earn passive income with Chime Savings.

Several other alternatives worth considering include:

There are truly tons of options for increasing your income in short notice. And we cover these ideas all the time here at WebMonkey!

Final Thoughts

If you are wondering where to borrow $25, there are cash advance apps that can help. And these apps are often way cheaper than turning to something like a payday loan or your credit card.

Personally, EarnIn is my favorite choice. But you can try several of these $25 advance apps to find what works best for you. Just factor in any fees, membership costs, and extra features you get to pick the app that's right for your situation.

]]>

MoneyLion is an all-in-one financial technology company that provides several services via its app like instant cash advances, checking and high yield savings accounts, investing opportunities, financial guidance, and help connecting users with credit cards and loans.

The platform is a powerful way to spend, save, and borrow. But is it worth using, and is it legit?

Our MoneyLion review is covering how its popular Instacash feature works. We're also covering its other main features to help you decide if it's right for you.

Key Takeaways:

 • MoneyLion Instacash lets members borrow up to $500 per pay period in $100 daily chunks
 • There's no interest, credit check, or mandatory cash advance fees
 • MoneyLion also offers numerous saving, spending, investing, and borrowing products
 • This is an all-in-one financial solution that's also competitive
 • For standalone cash advances, we prefer EarnIn and Dave

Is MoneyLion Legit?

MoneyLion is legit and offers a range of financial products and services to help its members spend, save, and borrow more easily. It also has a 4.4 star rating on Trustpilot with over 27,000 reviews, making it one of the highest rated companies in the space.

MoneyLion has been around since 2013. Since then, it's grown to around 10 million members. And the platform is packed with features to help people improve their finances.

Its cash advance feature, MoneyLion Instacash, is also very popular. It's similar to apps like EarnIn and Dave and lets members borrow up to $500. Plus, the platform has tons of other features to help you access cash quickly.

How Does MoneyLion’s Instacash Cash Advance Work?

Although MoneyLion offers several different financial services, its Instacash feature stands out as one of the most popular.

This feature lets qualifying members borrow $25 to $500 cash advance against an upcoming paycheck. There's no interest, credit check, or mandatory fees either.

To qualify, you need steady monthly deposits coming in. And you don't necessarily qualify for the full $500 right away; this limit increases as you build up payment history and make on-time payments.

Additionally, MoneyLion Instacash only lets you request up to $100 a day, like EarnIn. But if you need money to pay rent or small bills, this advance can certainly help.

However, there are a few ways to increase this. For example, you can use Instacash “Boosts” to temporarily increase your limit. You can get Boosts a few different ways like by paying your account balances on time, using MoneyLion’s debit card for the first time, making on-time payments to your Credit Builder Loan, or by receiving a Peer Boost.

Additionally, some users can qualify for up to a $700 limit if they take out a Credit Builder Loan with MoneyLion, or up to $1,000 if you use your RoarMoney account for all your direct deposits.

In any case, this advance feature is useful when you need quick money to get by. All repayments on MoneyLion Instacash advances are automatically scheduled and are based on your regular direct deposit dates.

?? How To Get $500 As Soon As Tomorrow.

MoneyLion Instacash Requirements & Fees

To qualify for Instacash, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

 • Have a MoneyLion account in good standing
 • Have a valid banking account linked to your MoneyLion app or have a RoarMoney account
 • Have a bank account that's veen active for at least 60 days
 • Show a record of at least three consecutive direct deposits into the account (these can be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.)This income can be from payroll, government benefits, or pension payments but doesn’t include cash deposits, ATM deposits, transfers, or an individual check from a new employer

What's nice is that your income can be from a payroll, but also government benefits or pension payments. However, ATM deposits or transfers don't qualify. And gig work from something like DoorDash or Uber Eats may or may not qualify.

Your Instacash limit is based on the amounts of your recurring direct deposits, your transaction history on the account, and any boosts you may have. The maximum amount you can qualify for is $500, though with a RoarMoney account or a Credit Builder Loan this can increase to $700 or $1,000.

Instacash deposits don't have mandatory fees, which I love. However, disbursement normally takes one to two business days if you have a RoarMoney account or one to five days for an externally-linked account.

If you need money immediately, you can pay a “Turbo Fee” of $1.99 to $8.99 depending on the amount you’re requesting. This deposits money into your account within two minutes.

We think Instacash Turbo Fees are somewhat steep, especially compared to companies like EarnIn or Cleo. And you should always calculate any fees as a percentage of your advance so you truly understand how much you're paying.

Who Is MoneyLion Instacash Best For?

MoneyLion Instacash is best for people with a steady job or income stream who may occasionally need extra cash to hold them over because of an emergency or some bills.

For these individuals, an Instacash advance is almost always preferable to taking out a payday loan which can charge interest rates of 15% to 30%. Plus, if you’re already using the MoneyLion app for its other features, you’ll be set up to take advantage of the cash advance when you need it.

That said, this service isn’t a long-term financial fix for those with ongoing money management issues or for those who don’t have a regular income stream. Additionally, most users won’t qualify for the maximum limit of $500 and you can only take out $100 a day, so it may not even be enough for your needs.

We also suggest trying out top side hustle ideas or other ways to make money if you're struggling financially. Borrowing money endlessly isn't a way to get ahead financially, so keep this in mind.

Other MoneyLion Products & Features

MoneyLion has numerous other products and services that help you spend, save, borrow, and invest for income. Some of its top features and accounts include:

 • RoarMoney Banking Account: RoarMoney is a bank account administered through MetaBank that’s FDIC-insured up to $250,000. This account comes with a Mastercard, cash back rewards, price protection, no overdraft fees, over 55,000 fee-free ATMs, and early paycheck deposit of up to two days early. This account costs $1 per month.
 • MoneyLion Loans: MoneyLion connects users with third-party offers for personal loans, auto refinancing and student loan refinancing.
 • Credit Builder Plus: MoneyLion has a Credit Builder Plus membership where customers can apply for a loan of up to $1,000 at a 5.99% to 29.99% APR. You pay back the loan over 12 months, and on-time payments are reported to all three major credit bureaus. This service has a $19.99 monthly fee.
 • MoneyLion WOW: A MoneyLion Wow membership costs $9.99 a month and allows you to access exclusive cash-back offers, insurance protection for certain purchases, access to investing opportunities with no commission fees, and waived fees on many of MoneyLion’s other services.
 • Savings Account: This tool connects users to the best high-yield savings accounts, many with no monthly fees and helps you get started with one within minutes.
 • Investing Tools: MoneyLion lets members invest with as little as $1. You can also choose fully managed portfolios that match your goals and risk tolerance. There's even crypto investing and rebalancing tools too.

The sheer number of features might seem overwhelming. But MoneyLion's goal is to be an all-in-one financial solution for its customers.

You really get a lot of features with RoarMoney, which I like. However, many of the other services are just marketplaces that connect you to top financial products and services. And the Credit Builder plan is pretty expensive.

Pro Tip ?? Find the top high-yield savings accounts, CDs, and money market accounts with Raisin! Start saving with just $1 and skip the fees!

Pros & Cons

Pros:

 • A comprehensive financial tool that caters to all your needs
 • High cash advance limit of up to $500
 • No interest or credit check requirement of cash advances
 • RoarMoney members have a lot of perks
 • MoneyLion also lets you invest with as little as $1

Cons:

 • Instacash has a $100 daily request limit
 • Not all members qualify for cash advances
 • Expensive Turbo fees for fast deposits
 • MoneyLion asks for tips on cash advances
 • Some other MoneyLion products have expensive monthly fees

The Best Alternatives To MoneyLion Instacash

We think MoneyLion provides a comprehensive platform that helps you spend, save, and borrow. And it has a pretty competitive Instacash cash advance feature.

That said, there are other apps like MoneyLion you can consider. And some of these are better standalone offerings than MoneyLion's “do it all” approach:

 • EarnIn (best overall cash advance app)
 • Current (best savings solution with advances)
 • Dave (best for side hustlers)
 • Super.com (best for cash back)
 • Brigit (best advance app to build credit)
 • Cleo (best for gig workers and freelancers)
 • Yendo (best credit card with cash advances)
 • Klover (best for low-income individuals)

If you strictly need advances, we think EarnIn is better than MoneyLion Instacash. This is because it has a limit of up to $750 and doesn't charge as high fees. But if you want an all-in-one solution with other features, you can try out MoneyLion.

?? The Best Ways To Get $1,000 In 24 Hours.

Is MoneyLion Safe?

MoneyLion is a safe and secure app to use and connect your existing banking accounts to. It does this by using Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology and encryption for all your personal data and transactions. The company also states that it monitors its site and database 24/7 for security threats and it will send Unusual Activity Alerts any time a suspicious purchase is made from your account.

Other MoneyLion Reviews From Customers

MoneyLion has no shortage of positive reviews, and customers who’ve given the app five-stars comment on the excellent customer service, that the app does exactly what it advertises, that it's easy to navigate, and how helpful the Credit Builder Loan has been in raising their credit scores.

Negative reviews mention that it can be irritating that you’re only allowed to take out $100 at a time with Instacash advance, the high fees for same-day transfers, and that Instacash services send requests for “tips.”

MoneyLion has received an average of 4.4 stars from nearly 28,000 reviews on Trustpilot, and 4.51 stars from reviewers on the Better Business Bureau website.

Is There Customer Service?

There’s a chat feature within the app or you can call or text the company 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 1-844-224-0087. You can also send a secure message through the website, or send an email to [email protected]. Messages and emails are usually answered within a day.

?? How To Borrow $200 Instantly.

Does MoneyLion Impact My Credit Score?

With a Credit Builder Loan, you have the possibility of increasing your credit score but only if you make all your payments on time. It’s worth noting that there are other actions you can take during this time that can lower your score, and even with the Credit Builder Loan there’s no guarantee it will raise your score.

There are also no hard credit checks for any of MoneyLion’s services, but if you end up working with one of its third-party partners (like a lender), the partner company may do a hard credit check which can temporarily ding your credit score.

?? The Ultimate List Of High-Paying Apps.

Is MoneyLion Instacash Worth It?

MoneyLion Instacash is a popular cash advance solution that is competitive with other companies in the space. And MoneyLion as a whole offers tons of products to help you spend, save, invest, and borrow.

As long as you don’t overuse this service and have a steady income stream, it’s worth it to sign up for Instacash for those few-and-far-between times when you need a little bit of money to get you through an unexpected rough patch. However, those with consistent money problems or who don‘t have a regular income stream may not get what they need out of this service.

Hopefully, this MoneyLion Instacash review helps you decide if this is the right service for you!

By leveling up, you earn scratch tickets on InboxDollars that you can scratch to get free money. Cash prizes range from a few pennies to $50 to $100 or more if you get lucky.

Personally, I've won a few dollars from InboxDollars with this method. And if you enjoy word games like Word Wipe, you might as well earn a bit of side money while gaming.

8. Word Cube

Like Cookie Cash, another competitive word game that pays you can play is Word Cube.

This iOS app from Tether Studios involves building words by placing tiles on the board, similar to Scrabble. The more words you build, the more points you earn, and you face off against other real players to compete for cash prizes.

Games often pay $5 to $25, but you can play in higher-stake games with larger prize pools.

You have to buy-in to tournament games, so this isn't the best word game that pays if you want to earn money online without spending anything. But it could be an excellent app if you don't mind some competition.

9. Word Blitz

Word Blitz is another way to make money playing word games if you're willing to put your skills to the test in competitive games.

This app from Skillz lets you play against players in a word-creating game that's similar to Word Cube. You have a board of letters, and you have to create as many words as fast as you can to best your opponent.

I like Word Blitz since you get more points the longer the words you create are, so it pays to have a decent vocabulary. Plus, cash prizes can reach $25 to $75 or even more. Overall, it's a pretty competitive yet fun puzzle game for money that you can check out.

Just note that like the other competitive word games that pay real money on this list, you have to pay small entry fees if you want to participate in tournament games.

10. Word Star

Like Word Blitz, Word Star is another game from Skillz that you can try out.

This Android and iOS app is a word puzzle game where you have to swipe letters in a pool to create new words as quickly as possible. The more words you create, the higher your score, and the player with the highest score at the end of a game wins!

Cash games are available to compete in, with many games paying out $5 to $25. You can also find more competitive games with larger prize pools of $50 to $100 or more.

Games have entry fees, so this isn't the best paid gaming app for everyone. However, you can also play free games to hone your Word Star skills before deciding to compete.

11. Words With Friends 2

This classic multiplayer word puzzle game has been popular for years. And I remember playing this game against my classmates as far back as high school.

The base game is free to play and doesn't let you earn money. However, you can often play Words With Friends 2 via Swagbucks to get paid.

Swagbucks sign up

Here's how the offer works:

 1. Sign up with Swagbucks
 2. Download Words With Friends 2 from the games list
 3. Earn $15 worth of Swagbucks after making 100 moves in versus mode

This is one of the higher-paying offers right now in the word game space, so take advantage of it while it's on. And explore other ways to earn with Swagbucks like cash surveys, video offers, shopping deals, and more!

???The Best Swagbucks Game Offers.

12. Real Money Word Search

If you're a fan of word searches, then one more game you can test out is Real Money Word Search.

This is yet another Skillz word puzzle game where you can compete in cash tournaments against other players. You face off with identical word search boards, and the players who find the most words before time runs out win.

With cash prizes of up to $100 or more, Real Money Word Search puts a serious twist on this classic word puzzle game.

Just note that like other Skillz games, you have to deposit money and pay entry fees if you want to compete. But you can also play free games if you just want to have fun.

Personally, I prefer free apps that pay me money, but hey, paid word games for cash are an option for more competitive gamers.

13. Word Race

Word Race is an?iOS and Android app from Tether Studios involves tracing over letters in a box to form letters. Longer words earn more points, and the goal is to score higher than your opponent before time runs out.

What's cool about Word Race is that you can play in head-to-head games or larger cash tournaments. And tournaments can have prize pools ranging from $5 to $10 to $50 or more.

Speed is the most important skill to have for this word game. Just know that cash games require a small entry fee like the other competitive word games for money on this list.

14. Wordscapes

Wordscapes is another leading word puzzle game. In fact, it has over 50 million downloads on the Android app store.

The game lets you solve a wide range of word puzzles so you can challenge yourself. And while it doesn't pay you directly, you can sometimes play it through InboxDollars to get paid.

Just note the ads can be a bit annoying on Wordscapes, so I decided to uninstall the app after testing it.

15. Wealth Words

One final word game that pays money you can play in your spare time is Wealth Words.

This website hosts a variety of word puzzle games you can play. Some are completely free, while others are more competitive and have cash prizes.

For example, Wealth Words has a timed crossword puzzle you can pay a few dollars to play. If you complete the crossword in enough time, you can often earn $5 to $25 or more.

There are also instant cash quizzes, which could be up your alley if you like paid trivia games. And there are even more word games for money on the site like Wealth Wordle, Quick Wordz, Quick Picks, and more games where you can put your skills to the test.

The Best Alternatives & Word Game Scams To Avoid

I've been testing out video game side hustles for years. And while I love a good word puzzle, there are tons of other ways to make money.

Plus, you encounter a lot of word games that are scams. Apps like Island of Word?and Word Roamer are three examples, and I've reviewed them on WebMonkey before. Another similar game, Find The Word, isn't legit either and doesn't pay its players.

Thankfully, there are plenty of other alternatives you can use to paid word games if you want to make more money, including:

 • Branded Surveys: My favorite survey site with free PayPal cash rewards and a $5 cash out minimum.
 • Quiiiz: A very fun and competitive cash trivia game.
 • Cash Giraffe: This Android app pays you to download and play exciting new games on your phone.
 • Prime Opinion: A free website that lets answer surveys for PayPal money and gift cards.
 • Ipsos iSay: A global survey panel with a $5 cash out minimum.
 • PrizeRebel: A versatile rewards platform that pays you to download apps, answer surveys, watch ads, shop online, and play games.

Between these sites and the games in this article, you should have plenty of options to begin making money while enjoying some word puzzles.

Final Thoughts

If you were looking for word games that pay real money, I hope this list helps you find a new fun side hustle you can enjoy in your spare time.

These apps won't make you $500 a day or anything even close to that amount. But I think you can realistically make some pocket money without much effort if you stick to some of the free games.

The paid and competitive games have a higher income potential. But they're not the best fit if you don't want to spend any money.

Quiiiz is an exciting new way to play trivia for money. And it puts a spin on your classic trivia night by letting players compete for real cash prizes.

But how much does Quiiiz pay? And is this app legit and a good way to earn?

Our Quiiiz review is sharing how this gaming app works, how you can earn with it, and what you should know before signing up!

Want more fun money-makers? Checkout:

 • Freecash: Make money by playing mobile games and downloading fun apps!
 • Branded Surveys: Share your opinion to get cash and gift card prizes!

Key Takeaways:

 • Quiiiz lets you play competitive trivia for money
 • It's available for iOS and on desktop
 • You have to deposit money and pay to enter cash games or tournaments
 • Games payout anywhere from $2 to $50 to winners
 • We think this is a legit app that's worth using for competitive trivia fans

What Is Quiiiz & What Does It Offer?

Quiiiz is a real money gaming app that's available for iOS and desktop right now. And the idea behind the app is to let players compete in skill-based trivia matches to win cash prizes.

You can sign up for Quiiiz with your email on its website or after you download its iPhone app. From there, you're ready to get in on the action and begin playing.

Now, Quiiiz has free trivia games available if you want to have fun and put your skills to the test. However, most games require paying an entry fee to buy an entry ticket you use to take part in the tournament.

If you emerge victorious at the end of the trivia game, you walk away with the cash prize pool. If you fall short, you lose your entry fee.

This paid to play app caters to competitive gamers who want a challenge and the chance to win some pretty serious side cash. If you're strictly a free mobile gamer, you should stick with no deposit games instead.

Anyways, onto the gameplay!

How Do Quiiiz Games Work?

Quiiiz has a variety of trivia games going on at any given time. You can find these in the Lobby either via its mobile app or the desktop version.

Games display how much the buy-in fee is and what the total prize pool is. Most games are head-to-head matches so you're only against one person. In our account, a lot of games cost around $2 to $4 to enter and paid out around $3 to $8 based on the entry fee.

This means that in many cases, you're almost doubling your money if you win. Ties result in a prize split. And I like that there's so many types of trivia games available. Here are a few of the different quizzes, entry fees, and prize pools that we saw:

 • General Knowledge: $2 entry, $3 prize pool
 • Famous Movies: free entry, no prize (!?)
 • Music Trivia: $2 entry, $3 prize pool
 • Quick & Easy Math: $4 entry, $7 prize pool
 • Image Trivia: $5 entry, $8 prize pool
 • Rapid Geography: $5 entry, $8 prize pool
 • Rapid Bible: $5 entry, $8 prize pool
 • Rapid General: $10 entry, $17 prize pool

As you can see, this is a very diverse range of topics. And new games launch all the time, so you can enter more from the lobby.

It's also worth noting that Quiiiz also runs Time-Based Tournaments. These are larger games with 50 to 200+ players you have to reserve your spot in with a ticket. When the game begins, it's an elimination style trivia game that keeps going until there's one player left.

These tournaments have larger prize pools in the $50 range. The entry fee is more expensive, but it's nice that there's a range of games to play. And, occasionally, there's a freeroll tournament every few hours you can enter and potentially snag some free cash.

Finally, there was also a one-on-one quiz to win a single raffle ticket for a periodic $888 raffle.

?? The Best Legit Cash Games To Play.

How Does Quiiiz Gameplay Work?

On to the gameplay. We tried out one of the free games, and actually, we liked what we saw.

Games are quick: in the one we played, there were only 5 questions. Each question had four options to choose from. You get 12 seconds to answer the question, so there's no time to Google answers. There's a slide at the top of the screen that moves down as the clock ticks away; the faster you answer a question, the more points you score.

After every question, scores get tallied so you see who is winning. We liked the fast gameplay, the point amounts that decay as the timer counts down, and the overall layout of the gameplay screen.

One thing we should mention is that these are live games. Many gaming apps, like Bingo Cash or Solitaire Smash, let players to compete at separate times and then compare scores later to find a winner.

Not so with Quiiiz: if an opponent hasn’t arrived yet, you’ll have to wait. This is unavoidable due to the nature of the gameplay: it’s built on the ticking clock. If you can answer questions more quickly than your opponent, you’ll get more points.

The drawback to this style of gameplay is that if you enter a game, you’ll have to wait there until someone else comes along to take the competitor spot. This may not be a huge deal but the way the app is designed you can’t leave the game lobby while you’re waiting unless you close the app.

Also note that if you enter a Time-Based Tournament but forget to join when it goes live, you lose your entry ticket and can't get into the game after it starts.

Rewards & Cashing Out

If you win a Quiiiz game, money deposits in your account. You can then cash out via PayPal or with a bank transfer. This is also how you can deposit money into your account to pay entry fees for cash games.

I couldn't find information about the withdrawal minimum for Quiiiz. But the company says you can request a withdrawal anytime, and that withdrawal fees can vary based on the amount and method you use.

I like the fact that you can earn cash or PayPal money for playing games. But again, Quiiiz is only worth using if you deposit money to compete.

?? Get started with Quiiiz today!

Is The Quiiiz App Legit?

Quiiiz is legit and lets you compete in head-to-head trivia matches and tournaments to win cash prizes. It's also #54 in the Trivia category on the App Store, which is actually above the Jeopardy app (#57). Overall, it's a popular app you can use to potentially earn some side cash from trivia.

What Are Some Good Apps Like Quiiiz?

We think Quiiiz is worth using if you're a trivia fanatic who also likes competitive games. But it's far from the only option out there.

There are tons of other fun gaming apps – many of which also have paid trivia games or competitive, skill-based games. Here are some of our favorites:

Money Quiz logo

Swagbucks is probably your next best bet since it has a fun trivia game, Swagbucks Daily Trivia. But you can explore all the desktop and iPhone money games above to find the apps you like most.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

 • Quiiiz has numerous trivia categories to try
 • You can cash out with real money
 • Larger prize pools for time-based tournaments
 • Gameplay is speedy and fun
 • New players often get deposit cash bonuses after making their first deposit

Cons:

 • You can't withdraw bonus cash
 • The app isn't available on Android yet
 • Some players lose more money than they make.

Who Should Use The Quiiiz App?

Anyone can play Quiiiz, unless your state doesn’t allow cash prize apps. However, the people who will do best with Quiiiz are those who have a broad scope of knowledge, either in general or about certain topics.

Do you know which Lord of the Rings book contained the Battle of Helm’s Deep? Do you know who the villain in the movie Up? Can you name the capital of Mongolia? If you can answer questions like these, Quiiiz might be a fun way to make some beer money.

Current is a legit mobile banking solution that's known for its lack of monthly fees and unique Savings Pods feature. Plus, the company recently rolled out cash advances and has offers several features and services to enhance your cash flow and savings efforts with no hidden charges.

But is Current worth using and safe? And how can you tell if this savings solution is right for you?

In this Current review, we’ll explore Current’s banking, saving, and investing features, fees, and benefits to help you decide whether it’s worth using.

Want more ideas to make and save? Checkout:

 • EarnIn: Borrow up to $750 against an upcoming paycheck!
 • Arrived: Invest in income-generating real estate rentals with only $100!

Key Takeaways:

 • Current offers no-fee banking and savings
 • Earn 4% APY on up to $6,000 in savings
 • Other perks like faster paycheck access, free overdraft protection, and cash advances
 • Current also lets you invest in crypto and offers teen accounts
 • We recommend Current if you're building your savings and want to ditch bank fees

What Is Current?

Current is a financial technology company that helps its members save and spend their money without expensive fees. It also has a credit building product, teen accounts, and numerous other features to help its members manage their finances.

Current's first product was a teen debit card that launched in 2017. Since then, it's grown into a comprehensive financial solution that lets you save, spend, and invest your money similar to how you would using a traditional brick-and-mortar bank.

The difference is that Current isn’t a bank. Instead, it’s technically a neobank and works with Choice Financial Group, Member FDIC, and Cross River Bank, Member FDIC, to provide its banking services.

As such, your money is FDIC-insured through these partners. Current also doesn’t provide your typical checking and savings accounts, instead combining the two into a blended account with no credit checks and zero annual fees.

Is Current Legit?

Current is a legit and offers excellent digital banking services designed for people who want to skip unnecessary fees and bank as simply as possible. It's also highly rated, with a 4.5 star rating on Trustpilot and over 9,000 reviews.

If you want to ditch bank fees and earn passive income on your savings, Current is a great choice. It also has a great sign up bonus for new members and pays a competitive 4% APY right now on savings. If you're just starting out your savings journey, we think Current's a great choice.

That said, larger account balance holders might want to look elsewhere. Current only pays interest on $6,000 in savings. If you have a larger balance, we suggest using Raisin to find the top savings account for you.

What Does Current Offer?

Current has numerous features to help you save, spend, and invest your income. Let's take a look at them!

1. Current Spend

Current Spend is Current’s main offering. It's a checking account, savings account, debit card, and credit card all in one.

You get a Visa debit card card from Current that you can use to access the money in your account, whether you want to visit an ATM or make purchases. You can set up direct deposit to your account for your paychecks, enjoy fee-free overdrafts, and earn points on your purchases.

On top of that, you can also opt for the Current Visa secured card charge. This card lets you build your credit as you use it and make on-time payments since Current reports these payments to major credit bureaus.

Current Spend also has plenty of other nifty perks, including:

 • Option for AutoPay
 • Paychecks up to 2 days faster with direct deposit
 • Mobile check deposits
 • Earn up to 7x points on card swipes
 • Fee-free overdraft between $25 to $200
 • Credit building with purchases
 • 40,000+ fee-free AllPoint ATMs
 • No temporary holds at gas pumps
 • Money management tools

2. Savings Pods

Current Savings Pods are similar to a regular savings account. However, you can have up to 3 Savings Pods, making it easy to set money aside for different goals, like paying off debt or going on a vacation.

You can put as much money as you’d like into your Savings Pods, but only a certain amount is eligible for interest earnings, also known as Current Boosts. You can earn Boosts on the first $2,000 in each Savings Pod, up to a maximum of $6,000.

Current Boosts provide a maximum of a 4.00% annual bonus on your money. If you’re eligible for the full 4.00% bonus and you have at least $2,000 in each Savings Pod, this is $240 in free money per year. To get the full 4.00% bonus, you’ll need at least $500 of qualifying direct deposits per month. Otherwise, your Boost sits at 0.25%.

Earning 4% APY is a nice way to earn money on autopilot with your savings. But again, if you have over $6,000, you'll want to move your excess cash elsewhere.

Also note that you can also save cash with Current by automating your savings using the Round-Up feature. This rounds up your purchases to the nearest dollar and deposits the extra change into your savings account.

3. Cash Advances

Current has a new cash advance feature that lets you borrow up to $500 against an upcoming paycheck. And this is an amazing feature if you need to pay rent or other bills and are having trouble making it to payday.

This is similar to some of the best cash advance apps out there like EarnIn and Dave. And it's also very easy to get started. To be eligible, you simply set up your payroll direct deposit with your Current bank account, and your deposits must be more than $500 per month. You can also link an external bank account to your Current account if your check already gets deposited there.

Current may offer you a lower cash advance amount to start with but can increase the amount up to $500 once it sees a consistent deposits and responsible spending.

Also note that cash advances are free if you wait up to 3 business days to receive the money. Otherwise, you can get paid instantly by paying a variable express fee based on how much you're advancing. When you get paid, Current automatically withdraws the money you owe from your account to repay your advance.

?? The Best Ways To Make $500 By Tomorrow.

4. $50 Sign Up Bonus

Right now, you can take advantage of Current's $50 sign up bonus if you're a brand new member. To get the bonus, simply:

 • Sign up for a Current account.
 • Enter code WELCOME50 in the promo code box when signing up.
 • Within 45 days of signing up, have a direct deposit of at least $200 go to your Current account.

Current sends the $50 welcome bonus to your Current account within 10 business days of the date your direct deposit successfully cleared your account.

?? The Best Instant Sign Up Bonuses.

5. Crypto Investing

Another new Current feature is its crypto investing side. This lets you buy and sell crypto right from Current's mobile app, and you don't pay trading fees. You can also trade dozens of coins including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Cardano, and Polkadot.

This feature makes it easier to begin investing for income. And you only need $1 to begin trading. However, the interface and trading tools you get are far more basic when compared to using an exchange like Coinbase.

You can also read our guide on the best income-generating assets to buy for even more investing ideas.

6. Current Teen Accounts

Current has separate accounts for teens to have some freedom over their money. Teens can open an account on their own, but if they’re under 18, the account will need to link to a parent’s Current account. Parents can then give their teen an allowance, create spending limits to control how much and where they spend their cash, and transfer money to their teen’s account at any time.

Teen accounts also have a Savings Pod known as a Giving Balance. This is a savings goal that allows your teen to save money to donate to a charity of their choice. Once they save enough money in their Giving Balance, Current will send their donation.

Current Fees & Pricing

Current doesn't charge monthly account fees, and there's no sign-up fee either. However, some services require fees:

 • Out-of-network ATM fee: $2.50 per transaction
 • International cash withdrawal fee: $3.00 plus the foreign transaction fee
 • Cash deposit fee: $3.50 per transaction
 • Card replacement fee: $5 for standard shipping or $30 for expedited shipping
 • Foreign transaction fee: 3% of the transaction amount, or a minimum of $0.50
 • Late payment fee: 3% of any total balances past due for two or more billing cycles
 • Inactivity fee: $5 per month after 12 consecutive months of inactivity
 • Account closure fee: $10

Is Current A Good Banking Solution?

Current can be an attractive banking solution for people who are just starting out with savings and want to avoid fees while earning a competitive interest rate. It also has a great sign up bonus, useful cash advances, and has perks like early paycheck deposits and free overdraft protection to help you out.

However, if you prefer to visit a bank in person or plan to open other accounts in the future with a bank you have a longstanding relationship with, Current probably isn’t the right choice. And it's not the best savings solution if you have $6,000+ in savings.

?? How To Get Out Of The Rat Race.

Is Current Safe?

Current is a safe banking solution, and your money is kept in FDIC-insured partner banks. So, you get up to $250,000 in FDIC insurance to protect your funds. As for data security, Current uses encryption to protect any data you share with the app, including your account information and personal data.

What Are Some Good Alternatives To Consider?

We think Current is a great home for your emergency fund or first savings. And I love its lack of fees and nifty sign up bonus. However, you can still consider plenty of other options too.

Some of our favorite Current alternatives include:

 • SoFi (best for sign up bonuses)
 • Raisin (best for compare saving rates)
 • Upgrade (best for cash back)
 • EarnIn (best for cash advances)
 • Discover (best for lack of fees)

Instant sign up bonus no deposit bank account

Of course, you can always try several of these options and take advantage of ongoing bonuses. Just decide which features are important for you, and don't be afraid to shop around for rates!

?? How To Sign Up And Get $100+ Right Now.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

 • No monthly account fees or minimum deposit requirement
 • $50 sign up bonus
 • Your money is FDIC-insured
 • Plenty of perks like free overdraft protection, early paycheck deposits, and more
 • A network of 40,000+ fee-free ATMs
 • Current also offers teen accounts

Cons:

 • Current only pays interest on savings up to $6,000
 • $500 daily ATM withdrawal limit
 • Fairly basic crypto investing features and no stock/ETF investing options

Final Thoughts

I hope our Current bank review helps you decide if this is the right home for your money.

If you want to ditch fees and earn a competitive interest rate, Current could be for you. And its sign up bonus and range of perks that help you save money are selling points.

That said, you can still use a tool like Raisin to compare saving products and rates in your area. But for a no-fee, simple savings solution, Current has our vote.

Need access to quick cash? Then Oasis, a new app for cash advances, could be what you're looking for.

This new app from Kikoff lets you borrow $25 to $250 in a cash advance to help cover bills and expenses. And there's no interest or credit check to worry about.

But is Oasis legit? And how does this app stack up against the competition? Read our Oasis cash advance review to get the full scoop!

Want some more fast cash ideas? Checkout:

 • EarnIn: Borrow up to $750 against an upcoming paycheck!
 • TurboDebt: Get fast debt relief if you have at least $10,000 in high-interest debt!

Key Takeaways:

 • Oasis offers cash advances between $25 to $250
 • There's no interest or credit check requirement
 • Oasis costs $9.99 per month
 • Deposits are free unless you pay for express delivery
 • Kikoff, the parent company, also offers a credit building product

What Is The Oasis Cash Advance App & What Does It Offer?

Oasis is a new cash advance app from the credit building company Kikoff that lets users borrow money against an upcoming paycheck. If you need cash to pay rent, bills, or to just get by, these kind of apps are designed to hold you over until payday.

The app is similar to other apps in the space like Cleo and Dave. And all you need to sign up is your email. You then connect your bank account to the app, and Oasis lets you borrow $25 to $250 if you qualify for an advance. No credit check, and no interest on your advance.

How does Oasis know you’re not a risky borrower without checking your credit score?

Well, it analyzes your connected bank account to view your paycheck history. Based on your balance, income, and spending habits, it then determines how much you can advance. You then pay Oasis back automatically once you get your next paycheck.

So what about Kickoff, the parent company?

Kikoff is a credit-building app that you can use if you want to improve your credit score. The app basically gives you a credit line of up to $750, with a simple catch—you can only spend it in the Kickoff store. You can then improve your credit score over time by having a lower utilization rate and making on-time payments.

?? Get $500 By Tomorrow With These Methods.

Oasis Cash Advance Fees & Requirements

Oasis charges a $9.99 monthly membership fee if you want to unlock cash advances. This is how the app makes money without charging interest on advances. You can also pay an instant deposit fee if you need money now, which costs anywhere from $0.99 to $3.99, depending on the size of the advance.

Alternatively, you can wait a few business days for a fee-free advance. However, the membership fee is a bit steep. Apps like Brigit charge $8.99 per month, and EarnIn, our favorite advancing app, doesn't charge a membership fee.

Overall, Oasis is similar to a lot of advance apps out there. Just note you need to be 18 or older and live in the United States to sign up. You also need steady paychecks, so if you're not employed, you likely won't qualify for Oasis' cash advance.

Is The Oasis Cash Advance App Legit?

Oasis Cash Advance & Credit is legit and lets its members borrow up to $250 against a future paycheck. And while the app is new, it has a 3.6 star rating on the Apple App Store and over 862 reviews from members.

Most negative reviews come from users who report Oasis having trouble verifying their income and connecting to their bank account. But to be fair, it's a very new app. Many users are also happy with the service and their cash advance limit.

Only time will tell. But a good sign is how well Oasis responds to customer complaints. Here’s a very telling review: one user wrote “Updating My Rating,” and explained that they previously left a low rating because of issues with detecting income. “They have since fixed the issue in their latest update!” This user updated their rating to five stars.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

 • Oasis doesn't charge interest on cash advances
 • No credit check requirement
 • No advance fees if you wait a few days
 • Kikoff also offers credit building tools

Cons:

 • Expensive monthly membership fee of $9.99
 • Lower cash advance limit than competing apps like Dave and EarnIn
 • Some users report bugs with connecting their bank accounts to Oasis
 • No other tools offered besides cash advances

What Are Some Good Cash Advance Apps Like Oasis?

We think Oasis can be a useful app if you need quick money in a day. But we also dislike how expensive its membership fee is.

Plus, as mentioned, there are plenty of other useful apps out there you can try, including:

Keep in mind that the back-end risk analysis of these apps may all be different. If you need $50 or $100 and you can’t get it on one app, try them all. There is no hit to your credit. They just need to analyze your checking account and see how much you get paid, and when.

Final Thoughts

Is Oasis legit? Certainly. It’s a product rolled out by Kickoff, whose flagship app is holding the #44 spot in the finance charts. But a bigger question must be considered: is the Oasis Cash Advance App a good solution?

If you need $50 one or two times per year, the Oasis app is a great fix. But if you find yourself using it over and over again, you need a different solution: more income or tightening your spending (or both). Even more so, considering that Oasis membership will cost you $120 per year.

At WebMonkey, we much prefer EarnIn and Dave to Oasis. They cost less and have more built-in tools than you get with Oasis. Hopefully, this review helps you decide if this app is really right for you.

Brigit is a popular cash advance app that has over 7 million users. And it lets members borrow money against an upcoming paycheck while also building their credit.

But is the Brigit app worth using? And how does this app compare to its competitors in terms of fees and features?

Our Brigit review is sharing how this app works, its pros and cons, and how to ultimately decide if it's the best choice for you.

 • EarnIn: Borrow up to $750 against an upcoming paycheck!
 • Freecash: Play games and answer surveys to earn cash and gift cards!

Key Takeaways:

 • Brigit is a cash advance app that offers interest free advances between $50 to $250
 • The app also offers other financial tools that can help you save money and build credit
 • Users must pay for Brigit Plus, which costs $8.99 per month, to take out a cash advance
 • The app doesn't require credit checks and doesn't charge interest
 • We think Brigit is good if you want to also build your credit, but isn't worth it just for advances

Is Brigit Legit?

Brigit is legit and has over 7 million users and is one of the most popular cash advance apps on the market. It's also highly rated, with a 4.1 star rating on Google Play and 4.8 star rating on the Apple App Store.

The app is similar to other borrowing solutions like EarnIn and Dave. And cash advances range from $50 to $250, which can help you out if you need to pay rent or bills with short notice.

The app is also known for its credit building tools. However, Brigit has recently come under scrutiny of the Federal Trade Commision (FTC) for misleading business practices regarding their loans. And most negative reviews come from users who are unhappy about fees or their low advance limits, so keep this in mind.

What Is Brigit & What Does It Offer?

Brigit is a financial services app that specializes in cash advances and helping people improve their credit score.

The company has over 7 million members, and its app is available for Android and iOS. Signing up just requires your email, and there's no credit check requirement. If you're 18 or older and live in the United States, you can become a member too.

Dave app

The app is best known for its cash advance feature. It has a relatively small limit of $50 to $250 per paycheck period, which is similar to options like Cleo and Super.com. So, you can use the app to borrow money against your future paycheck to help make ends meet.

There's plenty of other tools too, so I'll cover Brigit's main features and then its pricing structure.

Brigit Instant Cash

Brigit offers cash advances between $50 to $250 without charging any interest or running a credit check. And you can get your advance within a few minutes if you pay an express deposit fee.

You have to connect your bank account to your Brigit account to qualify for an advance. Brigit reviews bank accounts and assigns a score based on the health of their account, their past spending behavior, and your earnings history. Users need a score of 40 or higher to qualify for a cash advance from Brigit.

The higher your score, the more you can advance. Users who repay their Brigit loans promptly can be eligible for larger cash advance loan amounts in the future. And there's even an auto-advance feature that can help you avoid overdraft fees by advancing money for you.

Just note you need regular paychecks coming in every month from the same source to qualify for an advance. If you're a gig worker or unemployed, you likely won't qualify for a Brigit cash advance.

Brigit Credit Builder

Brigit's Credit Builder is its other main tool alongside cash advances.

With this account, you decide how much money to set aside each month. Brigit reports this “saved” amount as repayments on a credit builder installment loan to all three major credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.

As you successfully put money aside, you can increase your credit score. And at the end of your loan term, Brigit gives your savings back to you.

This account costs as little as $1 per month and doesn't run a hard credit check. You might see a small dip in your score when you first open an account, but on-time payments should slowly increase your score.

This feature also comes with up to $1 million dollars in identity theft reimbursement. This includes lost wallet assistance and restoration services. But the main point of this product is to improve your credit score.

Pro Tip: Get your updated credit score and ongoing monitoring from CheckFreeScore!

Financial Helper

Trying to stick to a budget and looking for tools to help? Brigit has a feature that can keep an eye on your earnings and habits.

The Financial Helper feature is available on free Brigit plans. You just connect your bank account to Brigit for a breakdown of your spending habits, upcoming bills, and a category-breakdown of your expenses.

I think budgeting apps like Rocket Money are better if you're just looking for budgeting help. But it's nice that Brigit encourages its members to save extra money.

Brigit Earn & Save

Brigit's Earn & Save tool helps people find new side hustles and ways to save money. This includes part-time gigs, paid surveys, gig economy jobs, passive income ideas, and much more.

This is useful if you're brand new to hustling, but a lot of the ideas are ones you've probably heard about. You can also check out our official side hustle database for a more comprehensive list.

How Much Does Brigit Cost?

Brigit has 3 pricing plans available, a free plan, a plus plan, and a premium plan. Here's how the price plans differ to help you pick the plan for you:

Brigit Free Brigit Plus Brigit Premium
Monthly Cost $0 $8.99 $14.99
Financial Helper Yes Yes Yes
Instant Cash Advances No Yes Yes
Earn & Save Yes Yes Yes
Credit Monitoring No Yes Yes
Credit Building No No Yes
Identity Theft Protection No No Yes
Free Express Delivery No No Yes

As you can see, you need to pay at least $8.99 per month for Brigit Plus to unlock cash advances. This is why the team at WebMonkey prefers EarnIn, since it doesn't charge membership fees and has a $750 limit.

That said, Brigit doesn't ask for tips like many of its competitors. It doesn't charge interest or late fees either. However, it charges Express Fees of $0.99 to $3.99 based on your advance amount if you want your money instantly. Otherwise, you can wait a few business days for a free cash advance.

Brigit Cash Advance Requirements & Eligibility

Brigit's cash advance requirements you need to meet to be eligible for an advance include:

 • Being a legal resident or citizen of the United States
 • Being 18 years or older
 • Having a checking account that is at least 60 days old with a partnering bank
 • Having account balance must be larger than $0
 • At least 3 recurring deposits from the same source per month
 • Having a cash balance after receiving a paycheck to show you can pay back the advance

While Brigit does partner with over 6,000 credit unions and banks, not all banking institutions qualify. When completing their form, if your bank does not appear, Brigit does not support your bank at this time.

Individuals who have irregular pay period schedules or who receive paper checks or cash transfers do not qualify for Brigit cash advances at this time. In this case, we suggest trying Cleo or Klover since both these apps have more lenient requirements.

Is Brigit Safe?

Yes, Brigit is safe and is a well established lending app that has millions of users. Despite a FTC settlement regarding lending practices, users seem mainly pleased with the services they have received from this company.

Brigit does collect customer data and uses it for some marketing purposes including with their partners. Not all users may be comfortable with this, so keep this in mind before signing up.

How Does The Brigit App Work?

Want to apply for a cash advance from Brigit? Here’s how the steps from from start to finish:

 1. Download the Brigit app from the App Store or Google play
 2. Create a free Brigit account which includes connecting a bank account
 3. Brigit reviews the account and give you a score that determines the amount of your cash advance
 4. Users who qualify need to subscribe to one of the Brigit paid plans
 5. Brigit tells you your cash advance limit
 6. Users confirm repayment information
 7. If the user agrees, the cash advance will be sent via the bank account
 8. A notification reminder will be sent 1 day before the payment is due
 9. Brigit will withdraw the amount of the cash advance for repayment on the scheduled date

Pros & Cons

Pros:

 • Brigit doesn't require a credit check
 • Offers numerous features besides cash advances
 • Decent $50 to $250 advance limit
 • Low express deposit fees

Cons:

 • Brigit requires a paid monthly plan for most fees
 • Expensive monthly plans
 • Not all users qualify for cash advances

The Best Apps Like Brigit

If you're looking for a solution to build your credit and take out advances, then Brigit could be for you. However, we think its monthly Plus plan is a bit expensive if all you want are advances.

Plus, there are plenty of great Brigit app alternatives, including:

Again, EarnIn is our number one pick at WebMonkey. But Brigit is setting itself apart from the competition with its focus on credit building.

Other Brigit App Reviews From Customers

On Trustpilot, Brigit has an excellent level rating with 4.5 out of 5 stars. Reviewers seem pleased with Brigit’s customer service and the prompt speed in which they receive their loans. And most negative reviews come from users who have issues connecting their bank account or qualifying for an advance.

Brigit has a B rating with the Better Business Bureau with 4.13 out of 5 stars. Reviewers here seem to have more frustrations with Brigit, primarily because the app did not give them as much money as they had hoped.

Is There Customer Service?

To contact Brigit customer service, you can communicate with their chatbot (known as Jess). You can also email Brigit directly at [email protected] or call them at (855) 885-5522. HelloBrigit is active on social media and you may be able to send them a message there as well.

Is Brigit Worth It?

Brigit is worth it if you want an effective cash advance app that also helps you build your credit score. However, if you just want an advance, we think there are more affordable options on the market.

Brigit Plus' $8.99 monthly fee is a bit steep. Again, it could be worth it if you also want its credit score products, but as a standalone cash advance app, we prefer EarnIn.

Hopefully, our Brigit review helps you decide if this is the right financial app for you.
