Well, as mentioned, Karma is the running currency on Reddit, and it can take a lot of active, meaningful engagement to build it up. You can also gain more Karma the longer your account has been active. This means that Reddit accounts with high Karma can have a high price tag for businesses looking to use it for marketing purposes.

Users are more likely to trust a longstanding account with a lot of Karma vs. a brand new one that is clearly run by a bot.

You can find ones to play in the “Games” menu, where you see all the information about the games and access your news feeds and forums where you can chat with other players. 

Each game also indicates what you will have to complete in order to claim the reward.

This can be anything from reaching a certain level, completing a quest or finishing several tasks within the game. Platforms like Scrambly and Money Well have similar requirements, so this is pretty standard.

Some games have multiple levels of earnings within them, so once you access one level of earnings, you can move on to another goal within the game that will get you even more.

It’s important to note that all of these will take several hours of game play to complete, so you definitely have to enjoy gaming and be devoted to the process in order to collect any Soul Gems. 

2. Complete Contracts

Contracts are collections of small tasks you can do to earn rewards, but most of these are instant and only take a few minutes.

There's actually rewards you can get for logging in consistently– for example, you can earn 20 Soul Gems if you log in on 7 consecutive days. 

Not bad if you're a frequent gamer!

4. Write Articles

Another really cool feature Gamehag offers is to earn Soul Gems for writing articles about gaming topics or specific games on their website.

Each article earns experience points (xp) which get you closer to advancing levels. And every new level you reach earns you more Soul Gems.

Articles typical focus on game reviews, walkthroughs, or other gaming related content.

However, if you want to make money with creative writing or freelance writing and love video games, this could be pretty fun!

Just know, it's not super lucrative, as you usually earn about 250 Soul Gems depending on the article.

One simple way to earn more Soul Gems is to be an active member on the Gamehag forums.

It’s good to keep this in mind if you’re trying to maximize your earnings on the site, but only 5 of your posts will contribute to points.

Gamehag codes are reward codes you can enter in your account to earn bonus Soul Gems, just like that!

You can sometimes find Gamehag codes from associated YouTubers, streamers, and other places online which will give you access to chests that have extra rewards.

Sometimes ,users post codes in the Gamehag forums, so keep an eye out for those. Occasionally, there's a specific Soul Gem requirement, where you need to have already earned to redeem the offer.

To enter a Gamehag code you just go to your inventory and can then unlock whatever is inside.

7. Refer Friends

Gamehag rewards you with Soul Gems for every active member that you refer to the site.

You have your own referral code that you can send to your friends and once that person has earned 1,000 Soul Gems themselves, you get some Soul Gems as well!

Unfortunately, you have to refer 10 active users before collecting 250 Soul Gems, which isn’t much considering how many friends you have to get to actually be active on the platform.

If you have 10 friends you think may be interested, it could be worth a shot– but this isn't the best referral bonus out there.

8. Gamehag Chests

The main way to redeem your Soul Gems is for prizes and free video games.

However, you can also put your Soul Gems towards weekly, monthly, and daily Steam chests, which give you the chance to win games and rewards at much cheaper prices.

9. Giveaways

Giveaways are another opportunity to earn free prizes with Gamehag, including free games and Steam keys.

Gamehag runs giveaways every week and they all have limited spots, so keep an eye on the countdown to see when the next giveaway starts.

To enter the giveaways, you often need a minimum level on Steam– so be sure to check the details and make sure you qualify before entering.

The info page also tells you what prizes you can win and what tasks you need to complete before qualifying.

10. Become A Gamehag VIP Member

Upgrading your Gamehag status to VIP costs you $4 a month, but unlock the potential to earn 10% more soul gems, get cheaper rewards, and you get free chests every month. 

While it’s great that the membership is cheap, there’s plenty of GPT sites that upgrade your status just for being an active member.

If you’re really dedicated to Gamehag you might benefit from going VIP, but definitely track your earnings to make sure you’re getting your money's worth.

How Much Does Gamehag Pay?

Since you can’t technically earn cash on Gamehag, you have to measure earning potential in terms of games, gift cards, and Steam dollars you can redeem. And most users can probably earn $5 to $10 per month in rewards if they spend time gaming every week and put in some effort.

However, the amount of Soul Gems you earn also varies depending on what games and tasks are available to you, and what the payout is.

For starters, low effort tasks payout very little, while the higher paying tasks can take hours or days to complete depending on what the goal is– which isn’t always worth the amount of Soul Gems they’re offering.

In terms of rewards, the amount you can redeem is somewhat low compared to the Soul Gems it takes to purchase them.

Also, it can be hard to connect an exact dollar value to Soul Gems as $10 in prepaid gift cards will cost you a different amount than $10 for another reward. 

If we calculate it in terms of Steam wallet codes–which will cost you 5299 soul gems for a $10 Steam gift card– writing an article that pays 250 Soul Gems is only around $0.50.

You could get a lot more writing articles for blogs or completing surveys on a reputable survey site, so it doesn’t really seem worth the time.

Ultimately, I think Gamehag can earn a couple dollars per hour at best if you focus on the highest paying tasks.

This isn't going to beat getting a second job or app based jobs, but hey, if you like gaming this is basically free money for doing something you love.
